Job Description

On behalf of our client, we are seeking candidates for the Procurement Officer role, who will be responsible for sourcing equipment, goods, and services, and managing vendors. The successful candidate will perform strategic procurement activities across multiple categories, search for better deals and find more profitable suppliers, and manage all aspects of the procurement process from requisition to payment. This role requires strong negotiation skills, attention to detail, and a deep understanding of supply chain management. Key Responsibilities: Responsibilities: Develop, implement, and maintain strategic sourcing plans to identify and select suppliers for goods, services, and equipment, ensuring best value and quality. Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing suppliers, negotiate contracts, terms, and deadlines, and manage supplier performance. Oversee the entire procurement cycle, including requisition processing, purchase order generation, delivery tracking, and invoice reconciliation. Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers, analyze market trends, and evaluate new products and services to ensure competitive pricing and quality. Lead negotiations with suppliers to secure advantageous terms, pricing, and service level agreements. Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies, procedures, and relevant legal and regulatory requirements. Identify and mitigate procurement-related risks. Monitor and manage procurement budgets, identify cost-saving opportunities, and contribute to financial planning. Maintain accurate records of all procurement activities, contracts, and supplier information. Prepare regular reports on procurement performance, savings, and key metrics. Collaborate closely with internal departments (e.g., finance, operations, legal) to understand their procurement needs and ensure timely and efficient delivery of goods and services. Ensure that purchased goods and services meet specified quality standards and requirements. Skills Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field. A Master's degree or professional certification is a plus. Minimum of 5+ years of experience in a procurement, purchasing, or supply chain role, preferably in (mention specific industry if applicable, e.g., manufacturing. Excellent working knowledge in both Arabic and English in terms of speaking and writing. Proficiency in procurement software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle). Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel. Excellent negotiation and communication skills (written and verbal). Strong organizational and time management abilities with attention to detail. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Problem-solving aptitude. High level of integrity and ethical conduct.
