Provides direct and indirect care for patients within the DDI framework. The staff nurse is responsible for competent, high quality, safe professional performance in collaboration and coordination within a multidisciplinary team approach. Utilizes knowledge of human development stages and cultural diversity into the provision of patient care. Support the mission and vision of DDI and Contribute to the achievement of departmental objectives and initiatives.
Responsibilities- Abide by standards of care and practice and maintain professional code of ethics
- Reflect accountability for the patient, institution, profession, and self
- Demonstrate and perform required therapeutic skills and patient assessment techniques that are problem focused, considering age and cultural variation and ensuring privacy and confidentiality.
- Demonstrate competency in performing skills and procedures through validation of Competency in the assigned /cross trained areas
- Assist physicians with procedures, as needed
- Analyze assessment data, derive nursing interventions, set priorities & contribute to the plan of care and evaluate patient outcomes
- Establish a multidisciplinary approach by involving the patient /significant others, and health care providers in setting the plan of care
- Provide patient / family education and provide support to patient /family/ care givers as needed
- Document data in the medical record /KBHR according to institution/department standards
- Ensure availability and cost effective utilization of supplies and safe operation of equipment
- Apply safety , infection control measures and required Personal Protective Equipment ( and Radiation safety )as needed
- Provide Basic life support and emergency measures as needed (advanced cardiac life support in specialty areas)
- Maintains clinic inventory and replace expired medications & supplies as needed
- Participate in quality initiatives, performance improvement, and research related projects
- Assume responsibility for meeting accreditation requirements and dynamically participate in continuing education and professional development activities (fire, safety, infection control and others)
- Acts as a preceptor and cross-train in different specialties to meet institutional need and work demand
- Engage in patient/ family and community health promotion, illness prevention activities and collaborate with other disciplines
- Reflects involvement, commitment and creativity through a proactive approach and engage in other assignments when needed within the scope of practice based on institution /department demand (clinic registry, appointment lists etc.)
- Abide by and implement accreditation requirements and standards within the scope of practice
- 03 years in nursing field
- Certification/experience in Diabetes management and care is a plus
- Basic Life Support (BLS) from American Heart Association
- Basic computer skills
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) (optional)
- English, Arabic is a plus
- Nursing Degree from a recognized School of Nursing.
- License to practice nursing from Kuwait –Ministry of Health

The Home Care Nurse is responsible for the provision and management of effective nursing care to individuals and/or families in the community or in Patient Support Programs. The Home Care Nurse works in adherence with the Policies and Procedures set by Axios International and works in accordance with established standards of nursing practices according to local and international rules and regulations.
Duties and Responsibilities
Service Responsibilities
Based on the agreed upon services and workflow, the Home Health Nurse provides skilled nursing services in accordance with the orders of a physician and under a plan of care. Duties include but not limited to:
- Telephonic follow up consultation
- Monitoring of vital signs during home care; blood pressure, heart rate, temperature and oximeter statistics
- Monitoring of blood glucose levels, and providing teaching and support for patient and family
- Preparing medications as per physician order
- Administrating medications and instruction on Medication such as Injections, IV’s, inhalation, oral, infusions and rectal
- Pain Management Medication monitoring and support for patients with acute or chronic health conditions
- Education and counselling, consistent with the type/nature of treatment and/or care management need
- Wound assessment and dressing changes
- Providing general nursing care
- Knowledge about Advanced Foot Care will be added value but not a must
- Monitoring pain control
- Cardiac Assessments
- Supervision/health teaching and support for family and caregivers on regular basis
- Ability to assess mental status
- Attending and completing Pharmacovigilance, Pharma and Product Training provided by the Client with a clear understanding of how to collect and report safety data.
- Reporting Adverse Events and follow the country rules and regulation regarding AE reporting procedure, and reporting any concerns /changes in patient health to the program and/or treating physician
- Reporting any adverse events/product complaints as per client’s requirements and/or Axios SOPPs
- Familiarity with nursing equipment (like ECG machine, spirometry and monitors) and ability to provide nursing assessments to patients

- Acting in accordance with relevant legislation and company Policies, Standards and Procedures

- Preparing timely monitoring reports (monthly) with patient numbers and logistics as well as quality assurance reports (quarterly) for internal This includes monitoring and tracking patient files in collaboration with Axios staff in “real time” as patients proceed through the program
- Maintaining and updating electronic program files, including patient and quality assurance data
- Conducting administrative duties for the office
Educational Background and Experience
- A BS Degree in Nursing is required
- At least 2 years working experience in a healthcare setting
- Must provide evidence of local health authority license or eligibility letter
- Excellent command of English
- Demonstrate clinical nursing knowledge and experience in providing direct patient care
Job Circumstances
- The position is based in our regional office and it does entail frequent travel to Clients and partners which may be outside your designated region.
- Flexibility in ability to travel as well as working hours is essential.
- Travel to UAE will be required for Training (if needed)
- Must be certified in CPR and/or First Aid course certificate
