• Responsible for providing leadership and direction to position the company as a leading provider of medical insurance line of business within the marketplace. This individual functions as a Senior Level Executive charged with guiding the development and execution of strategic underwriting directives to contribute to continued retention and profitable growth of total written premium in the medical business.

• Responsible for obtaining profitable results through the underwriting and claims teams by developing each team through motivation, counselling, skills development and product knowledge development.
• Responsible for the planning, recruitment, direction, organization, monitoring and control of underwriters to accomplish specific objectives.
• Responsible for monitoring the performance of the third-party administrator by establishing a system of reports and communications, timely audits, case management and fraud control.
• Plan and implement all regulatory reporting and compliance.
• Lead data analytics, risk management and actuarial reviews.
• Review and plan reinsurance arrangements.

• 10 years plus insurance experience in underwriting and claims management of medical insurance products in a leading insurance company.
• Exceptionally strong senior level management and leadership skills.
• Familiarity with managing health data analytics and setting the agenda for actuarial reviews.
• Insurance certification: ACII / equivalent or higher.
• A demonstrated and proven track record in leading and developing business and business relationships at a national corporate level.
• Strong flexibility to travel as required to meet retail and corporate mandates.
• Local / GCC experience a big plus.
• Bachelor's/ Master's Degree or equivalent in any discipline with Science/ Medical/ Mathematics as one of the subjects.

Position Summary

The Medical Information Officer is responsible for promoting Julphar’s products and services to healthcare providers, KOLs & other key stakeholders in an assigned territory or market.

The MIO is working as a trusted advisor for Julphar’s customers and facilitates their buying decisions by providing therapeutic solutions that meet their needs and expectations.

The Medical Information Officer is the on-ground Ambassador of the Organisation and should always showcase Julphar’s core values and business ethics in every action, while maintaining the company’s image & reputation

Qualifications,

• 4 years Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy / Science is mandatory

• Minimum 2-4 years of experience in the Pharmaceutical industry


• Must possess strong working knowledge of Distributor / Agents operations, Government accounts, tendering processes, contracting and pricing methods (wherever applicable in the country)


• Functional knowledge of the clinical aspects of the pharmaceutical industry, moderate understanding of Pharma supply chain, dispensing requirements and drug distribution channels etc

Job Responsibilities:

• Ensures implementation of the Ministry of Health regulations, the Hospital Medical Staff Bylaws, Rules and Regulations, and the Department Policy and Guidelines.
• Performs professional duties as a Radiologist or directs the performance of all functions of diagnostic imaging in regard to film interpretation and procedures.
• Determines which radiological (imaging) and related service procedures are appropriate to undertake and when new techniques will be utilized. Coordinates with the Chief Technologist the requirements and actions necessary to assure availability of special equipment and supplies.
• Participates in group conferences with other physicians for the purposes of case study from a group standpoint and offers opinions from the imaging standpoint.
• Assures adherence to proper safety precautions, infection control, and radiation precautions for the protection of unit/division personnel and patients.
• Participates in continuing education meetings for diagnostic Imaging Unit Services personnel.
• Provides interpretations of all tests performed by the Radiology Unit within a time frame established within the department per Medical Administration.
• Participates in and helps establish the educational programs conducted by medical administration and provides instructions as required to the various departments in the form of a continuing education program.
• May work under the supervision of Consultants and Specialists working in the Radiology Unit.
• Ensures their presence in the hospital while called for on-call duties.
• Follows established policies and procedures.
• Attends regularly scheduled meetings for the improvement of patient care services and delivery.
• Maintains strictest confidentiality.
• Accepts all other additional assignments found necessary by the Head of Department.

Job Requirements:

• MBBH and Masters in Radiology.
• Minimum 1 year of experience post-Master.
