Job Description

The International University of Science & Technology in Kuwait (IUK) is a newly established private university in Kuwait, with a new Campus located in the heart of Kuwait near the Avenues Mall. Fully accredited by the Private Universities Council (PUC), the University offers a wide range of academic programs in Engineering, Business, and Arts and Social Sciences. In addition to the academic programs, the IUK has established the University Foundation Program (UFP) that offers English and Maths foundation programs. The IUK is looking for dynamic full-time instructors who are passionate about teaching, contributing to developing a vibrant and successful learning environment with students.

Position Summary

The College of Engineering at the IUK seeks candidates for an assistant/associate professor position to teach Electrical Engineering courses. The faculty members will teach introductory-level courses in Electrical Engineering for science and engineering majors, and non-science majors. In addition to teaching, successful candidates are expected to maintain significant scholarly work and professional services. The successful candidate will contribute to develop an outcome-based student-focused curriculum.

The primary role of the faculty members at the IUK is to promote high-quality teaching, research, and services. Besides, he/she should collaborate with the Head of Department, College's Dean, and the colleagues to achieve the department's and College's mission, mentor junior colleagues, and teaching assistants, and support the department and the University with several administrative and academic services.

In addition to teaching, the faculty members are expected to maintain office hours, provide advisement for students and participate in curriculum development, and contribute to the university professional development activities.

Responsibilities:
  • Teach different courses according to his/her specialty and experience.
  • Promote innovation in teaching by introducing new teaching methodologies and strategies.
  • Engage with students in and out of the classroom.
  • Promote research activities and other creative work at IUK including publishing in indexed peer-reviewed publications.
  • Mentor new colleagues and teaching assistants.
  • Support the mission of the Department and College at the IUK by following the set curriculum and working towards achieving the program objectives and student learning outcomes.
  • Follow the university bylaws and regulations and promote the institutional environment.
  • Commit to teaching schedules, office hours, preparation, service, and professional development.
  • Provide academic support to other colleagues in the department.
  • Participate in the College's and the University's events and supporting collegiality.
  • Support the College and the University in organizing seminars, international conferences, and faculty events.
  • Serve in the College's and university's committees as needed.
Qualifications:

A Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or closely related field.

Experience
  • A minimum of three years of university teaching experience at a university/college level.
  • Proven experience in using different learning management systems and in adopting e-learning teaching strategies.
  • An experience that proves an understanding of a multicultural academic environment, and understanding of students' needs, including those of special needs.
  • An experience with various instructional methodologies.

Amentum is seeking an **Electronics Engineer I** to support an upcoming INSCOM G-4 Global Intelligence Logistics and Engineering (GILE) Support contract. These services will support tactical, operational, and strategic intelligence units, personnel and their ground and aerial intelligence equipment and operations facilities and infrastructure and may occur from multiple locations simultaneously.
**Essential Duties:**
+ Conduct installation, de-installation, reconfiguration, modification work orders and updates of computer hardware and software in local, regional, or global intelligence architectures including NIPRNet, SIPRNet, JWICS, TDN2, Special Access Programs (SAP) networks and coalition networks.
+ Assist with configuration assessments, fielding, testing, modernization, reset, de-fielding, demilitarization and disposal of sensitive equipment.
+ Inspect, test, diagnose, troubleshoot, repair and perform preventive maintenance on complex antenna and radio frequency distribution systems.
+ Perform tests on electrical, electro-optical, and electro-mechanical equipment using multi-meters, oscilloscopes, signal generators, spectrum analyzers, bit error rate testers (BERT), and other complex and specialized test measurement and diagnostic equipment (TMDE), wire diagrams, logic and signal flow charts, technical manuals, troubleshooting charts, performance aids, schematic, and logic diagrams.
+ Repair analog and fiber optics cables.
+ Perform pre and post flight inspections on Guardrail Common Sensor (GRCS) mission equipment and data link.
+ Submit standard and non-standard repair parts requests.
+ Prepare equipment for transportation or shipment.
+ Prepare maintenance, property accountability, and transportation forms and records.
**Minimum Requirements:**
+ Associate Degree in Electronics or related fields from an accredited college/university and two years of relevant experience or four years of military or civilian equivalent training in MI Systems Maintenance and Integration.
+ Able to maneuver in small spaces and lift up to 50lbs.
+ Experience with maintenance and integration on one or more of the following GRCS: Enhanced Medium Altitude Reconnaissance Surveillance System (EMARSS) mission equipment or equivalent A-ISR system; Tactical Command Data Link (TDCL); GRCS Operational Ground Station (OGS); Distributed Common Ground Station- Army (DCGS-A); software defined SIGINT collection platforms; biometrics collection, processing, exploitation, and dissemination equipment; CI/HUMINT support systems; TROJAN systems or satellite communication terminals providing TDN2; TENCAP systems or intelligence non-standard equipment.
+ Information assurance certifications for Tier I and II computer, servers, networks and global intelligence architectures integration required for technicians performing in computing environment; six-month waiver authorized.
+ US Citizen.
+ Final Top-Secret Clearance based upon a TIER 5 Background Investigation, and favorable eligibility determination for access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) IAW ICD 704. Some positions or assignments may require a Counterintelligence (CI) Scope Polygraph, especially those requiringaccess to TDN2.
