VATSIM Kuwait is recruiting a Training Director (ACCKW4)! The Training Director is in charge of administering all training-related operations within the vACC.
Position Duties:- Manages the Kuwaiti training programme, and oversees vACC mentors and students
- Overseeing & developing training resources within the vACC
- Assist with and implement vACC training policies
- Ensuring training is expeditious and of a good standard throughout the vACC
- Producing regular reports on the status of training within the vACC
- Able to handle training related duties in addition to Controller Practical Examinations if necessary
- Other duties as assigned by the vACC Director

The Aircraft Servicer services aircraft, performing any combination of the following tasks, directs incoming and outgoing aircraft near terminal or flight line parking area to assist pilot's maneuvering of the aircraft on ground, using hand or light signals or drives light truck with guiding sign, and secures aircraft in parking position with aircraft wheel chocks, installs landing gear and safing pins.
Principal Accountabilities
(Typical duties include the following, although specific duties vary by assignment or contract)
- Operates service vehicles to replenish water, waste system chemicals (at select locations).
- Assists with refueling, defueling and towing aircraft (tow vehicle operator).
- Operates ground support equipment such as electrical power carts, engine starting carts, air conditioning carts, nitrogen carts, oil and hydraulic carts for serving aircraft.
- Examines tires for specified air pressure and condition.
- Positions boarding platforms to unload or load aircraft passengers (stair case truck).
- De-ice aircraft wings and assemblies (select locations).
- Extract engine oil samples when required and provide to NDI for analysis.
- Coordinates via land mobile radio with air traffic control for follow me and towing of aircraft to designated parking spots.
- Retrieve Drag chutes and return to owning maintenance unit.
- Coordinates with base supply in ordering parts for aircraft.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
- Knowledge of safety and security regulations, practices, and procedures

- Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) airframe / Power plant license or DD 214 with documentation reflecting aircraft maintenance experience.

- Troubleshoots and/or repairs malfunctions in the aircraft airframes and power plants systems and all other supporting aircraft systems that require general aviation mechanical skills and knowledge, performing assigned maintenance in compliance with established directives and specified KC-130J MRC/MIMs, to include performing calibration procedures and required functional tests.
- Possess competent abilities in the use and application of hand tools, power tools, and associated precision measuring equipment used in support of system testing, evaluation, and operation, to include complying with established local tool control programs.
- Read, interpret, and apply manufacturers' maintenance manuals, service bulletins, technical data, engineering data, diagrams, schematics, and other specifications to determine feasibility and method of repairing or replacing malfunctioning or damaged components
- Use illustrated parts breakdowns (IPB)s to determine material requirements, research associated part numbers, and order parts to complete maintenance actions.
- Performs periodic special, hourly, conditional, and phase maintenance/isochronal inspections as required by Maintenance Instruction Manuals (MIM)s, Maintenance Requirement Cards (MRC)s, manufacturer’s specifications, and all applicable directives, orders, and instructions as directed through Maintenance Control.
- Interpret MIMs and all associated maintenance publications, orders, and directives to perform maintenance and use processes to document such maintenance actions, ensuring the accurate entry of data into the locally used computer database system.
- Performs applicable “O” and “I” level maintenance functions in support of In-Flight Refueling Systems and rebuild shop and Aircraft Tire & Wheel rebuilding.
- Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance actions, to include cross-training in all required essential technical specialties, to facilitate the removal, inspection, repair/replacement, installation, and test procedures of aircraft component parts, survival equipment, pneumatic systems, environmental control systems, fuel systems, avionics systems, and all associated airframes and power plants equipment systems.
- Inspect, control, and prevent corrosion of aircraft metals and system components using established and approved procedures.

Working Environment
Environmental conditions are diverse and could range anywhere from an office environment where there is little or no physical discomfort to an environment where inclement weather may subject individuals to severe changes in temperature, less than adequate lighting, dust and wind. On occasion individuals may be required to work in areas where high noise hazards will prevail, and hearing protection is required.
Physical Activities
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. - Must be able to communicate directly with the customer, pilots, air crew members, management, and maintenance personnel to gather and relay pertinent data/information necessary to ensure aircraft depart timely and launches are not delayed.

The AH64 Aircraft Technical Inspector is responsible for maintaining the Quality Control, Environmental and Safety Programs at the field level in support of assigned aircraft and Support Equipment.
Inspect, remove, install, repair, replace, modify, disassemble, reassemble and calibrate complex aircraft mechanical and electromechanical systems in accordance with maintenance manuals, test procedures and other military publications.
Perform the receiving, in-process, final quality, flight safety inspections and functional operational tests during organizational, intermediate and depot level maintenance, modification and repair of military tactical aircraft systems or associated components.
Approve or reject work accomplished by field team members to ensure compliance with customer specifications, standards and technical data.
Review and approve locally developed procedures and solutions to complex repair situations.
Perform analysis of defects and interprets quality control rejection and failure trends.
Monitor safety, training, and certification requirements.
Using checklists, perform daily work site Safety Inspections and Foreign Object Damage Inspections.
Monitor tool control programs, inspects and maintains records to ensure that measuring and test equipment meets calibration requirements.

Minimum Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent.
U.S. military technical school or specialized training course is desired, certification of education level is required
Shall have (5) five years of recent applicable aircraft maintenance experience.
Shall have at least (1) one-year experience inspecting AH64 aircraft assigned.
Shall possess a Federal Aviation Administration (FAA ) Airframe and Powerplant License (A&P ) Certificate is Preferred.
If no A&P, shall have a minimum Five (5) years experience as an Aircraft Inspector on the AH64 airframe they will be inspecting.
If no IA , shall have a minimum Five (5) year experience as an aircraft inspector on the AH64 airframe they will be inspecting.
Must be in possession of a U.S. Passport and be able to travel internationally with minimum 6 blank pages and 2 plus year validity on expiration date of passport at the time of hiring
Must be able to obtain and maintain facility Public Trust NAC-I. Note: US Citizenship is required forfacility Public Trust NAC-I at this work location.
Must be able to pass CENTCOM Medical requirements for deployment (attend CRC)
Must be able to obtain Kuwait Visa.

The UH-60 Aircraft Mechanic AM-I (UH-60) troubleshoots malfunctions in aircraft structure, landing gear, flight surfaces and controls, anti-icing, pneudraulic, engines, auxiliary power unit, and ventilation and heating systems.
Remove and install aircraft subsystem assemblies and components such as engines, rotors, transmissions, mechanical flight controls and their components.
Service and lubricate aircraft and subsystems.
Safely prepare aircraft for inspections and maintenance checks and services.
Perform scheduled inspections and assist in performing special inspections.
Perform limited maintenance operational checks and diagnoses and troubleshoots aircraft systems using special tools and test equipment as required.
Use and perform operator maintenance on tools, special tools and aircraft ground support equipment.
Apply comprehensive technical expertise to solve moderate to complex problems by interpreting technical documentation such as aircraft Technical Manuals, Maintenance Information and Action Messages and all technical guidance provided through government official representatives.
Maintain and repair aircraft components including but not limited to flight controls, engines, hydraulics, pneumatics, fuel systems, and mechanical components.
Apply technical knowledge of airframe and power plant systems in determining equipment malfunctions and use required expertise in restoring equipment condition and or operation.
Participate in maintenance test flights and operation checks as required.
Perform other duties as requested.
Minimum Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
A valid up-to-date FAA A&P certificate is preferred.
If No FAA A&P certificate; candidate Must have Three (3) years aviation maintenance experience, with a minimum of two (2) years on the assigned UH-60 Mission Design Series (MDS).
All experience must be within the Six (6) most recent years.
Must be in possession of a U.S. Passport with a min. 2 plus years validity and be able to travel internationally.
Must be able to obtain and maintain facility Public Trust NAC-I. Note: US Citizenship is required forfacility Public Trust NAC-I at this work location.
Must be able to pass the CENTCOM Medical requirement to deploy.
Must be able to obtain Kuwait Visa

The Aircraft Mechanic II (Sheetmetal) maintains, modifies, and integrates the aircraft structure and its parts.

Overview
The KC-130J Aviator’s Life Support Equipment Technician will troubleshoot and or repair malfunctions in the aircraft safety and survival systems as well as all aircrew safety and life support equipment. Performance abilities will include maintenance and serviceability procedures for subsystem components, to include pressurization & environmental systems, fire suppression, life rafts, cartridge actuated devices (CADs) and aviator’s breathing oxygen component removal, inspection, and reinstallation. In the course of assigned duties will apply a thorough knowledge of aircraft safety and survival system and aircrew safety and life support equipment engineering principles, techniques, and methods in the maintainability of existing equipment and systems. Possess competent abilities in the use and application of hand tools, power tools, and associated precision measuring equipment used in support of system testing, evaluation, and operation. Major Job Activities
Description
- Troubleshoots and /or repairs malfunctions in the aircraft safety and survival system and aircrew safety and life support equipment systems and all other supporting aircraft systems that require general aviation mechanical skills and knowledge, performing assigned maintenance in compliance with established directives and specified KC-130J MRC/MIMs to include performing calibration procedures and required functional tests.
- Performance abilities include maintenance and serviceability procedures to related aircraft components, to include environmental control systems, AC & temperature control, pressurization, pneumatic, and oxygen systems component removal, inspection, and reinstallation and the incorporation of applicable technical directives and bulletins.
- Apply a thorough knowledge of troubleshooting and repair of environmental control systems, to include temperature, pressurization, pneumatic, and oxygen systems and methods in the maintainability of existing KC-130J equipment and systems.
- Possess competent abilities in the use and application of hand tools, power tools, and associated precision measuring equipment used in support of system testing, evaluation, and operation, to include complying with established local tool control programs.
- Read, interpret, and apply manufacturers' maintenance manuals, service bulletins, technical data, engineering data, diagrams, schematics, and other specifications to determine feasibility and method of repairing or replacing malfunctioning or damaged components
- Use illustrated parts breakdowns (IPB)s to determine material requirements, research associated part numbers, and order parts to complete maintenance actions.
- Performs periodic special, hourly, conditional, and phase maintenance/isochronal inspections as required by Maintenance Instruction Manuals (MIM)s, Maintenance Requirement Cards (MRC)s, manufacturer’s specifications, and all applicable directives, orders, and instructions as directed through Maintenance Control.
- Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance actions, to include cross-training in all required essential technical specialties, to facilitate the removal, inspection, repair/replacement, installation, and test procedures of aircraft component parts, survival equipment (life rafts, first aid kits, etc.), pneumatic systems, environmental control systems, fuel systems, avionics systems, and all associated aviation life support equipment, airframes, and power plants systems.
- Remove, replace, transport, facilitate disposal, and perform inspections on ordnance components and devices (Ex. SP84 & M190), monitor expiration dates of installed explosive devices as well as ready service locker stored devices, as required for the ALSE work center.
- Create, maintain, and monitor all required logs and records pertaining to Aviators Flight Equipment and ensure accurate historical documentation in accordance with applicable directives, orders, and instructions.
- Interpret MIMs and all associated maintenance publications, orders, and directives to perform maintenance and use processes to document such maintenance actions, ensuring the accurate entry of data into the locally used computer database system.
- Performs applicable “O” and “I” level maintenance functions in support of In-Flight Refueling Systems and rebuild shop and Aircraft Tire & Wheel rebuilding. MLG brake maintenance/rebuilding.
- Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance actions, to include cross-training in all required essential technical specialties, to facilitate the removal, inspection, repair/replacement, installation, and test procedures of aircraft component parts, survival equipment, pneumatic systems, environmental control systems, fuel systems, avionics systems, and all associated airframes and power plants equipment systems.
- Inspect, control, and prevent corrosion of aircraft metals and system components using established and approved procedures.
- Checkout and operate all necessary support equipment for flight line maintenance of established maintenance procedures.
- Conduct off-station maintenance when required.
- When necessary, perform other duties and supervisory functions, critical to the function of the program and to assure compliance with the Performance Work Statement (PWS).
Must have a working knowledge of and be proficient with (input and extract data) of computers, aircraft data debriefing and diagnostic software (DTADS), and maintenance information systems.
Working Environment
Environmental conditions are diverse and could range anywhere from an office environment where there is little or no physical discomfort to an environment where inclement weather may subject individuals to severe changes in temperature, less than adequate lighting, dust and wind. On occasion individuals may be required to work in areas where high noise hazards will prevail, and hearing protection is required.

Education / Certifications :

- S&S and Flight Equipment (13A & 13B) Collateral Duty Inspector (CDI) qualification

- Confined Space Entry certification
- Four years’ maintenance experience with C-130J Aviator’s Life Support Equipment/Environmental Control Systems preferred.
- Naval Aviation Maintenance Program (NAMP) 4790.2 or equivalent experience with Air Force Instruction 21-101 preferred.
- Must have a working knowledge of first aid procedures to be used in an emergency.
- Must have a strong knowledge base of aviation maintenance programs, processes, and procedures (example: Safety, Tool Control, ABO, Egress, HAZMAT, inspection programs, administrative requirements, support equipment, calibration/torque programs & procedures).
- Must be United States (U.S.) citizen, be able to read, write, and understand the English language
- Must be able to obtain a United States Passport. If you currently possess a United States Passport it must have at least 24 months of time remaining before expiration.

- Must be willing and able to deploy off-site as required to support Kuwait Air Force operations.

- Must have skills and aptitude to cross train and/or support other maintenance technicians in completing assigned maintenance actions, to include but not limited to: The performance and completion of daily inspections (including the ability to inspect/sign off on all associated aircraft maintenance/technician specialties), marshalling/recovering aircraft, fueling, towing, mooring, and conducting post flight procedures to ensure aircraft are properly secured upon completion of maintenance.
- As a Subject Matter Expert, must be willing to perform in-depth research, troubleshoot, and perform “O” and “I” level maintenance functions on all applicable aircraft systems and components necessary to return aircraft to a Full Mission Capable status; this includes determining material requirements, researching part numbers, ordering, tracking, and receiving materials as required to facilitate aircraft inspections/repairs.
- Must be able to communicate directly with the customer, pilots, air crew members, management, and maintenance personnel to gather and relay pertinent data/information necessary to ensure aircraft depart timely and launches are not delayed.
- Must have an in-depth knowledge of aircraft technical orders/job guides/publications—read, interpret, follow and comprehend schematic diagrams, drawings, charts and technical publications.
- Must have an in-depth knowledge (aircraft/vehicle movement and safety/hazards) of flight line operations.
- Must be able to overcome cultural differences and to think outside the box, innovate, and provide solutions to the many complex problems and obstacles associated with international contracting and desert climate operations.
- Must perform as a team member, contributing to the success of the C-130J maintenance department.
- Must be dependable and timely in managing assigned tasks, perform consistent quality maintenance.
- Must have a proven ability to work independently with minimal direction.
