DescriptionIn this role, you will be responsible for supporting the financial management and operations of the company, working under the guidance of the Finance Controller.
Accounts Closing & Financial Preparation- Ensure accounting accuracy with adequate validation and checks.
- Preparation of statutory financials every quarter for all entities in BU.
- Ensure intercompany reconciliations are completed every month and balances confirmed with counterparty.
- Ensure BRS is completed every month, and no open item remains beyond the last week of the month.
- Ensure year-end statutory financials are prepared in compliance with applicable Accounting Standards, reviewed for accuracy, and submitted to Statutory Auditors with all necessary supporting information and sign-off within prescribed timelines.
- Ensure all queries & additional information requested by Statutory Auditors are submitted and closed within set timelines.
- Ensure provisions are analyzed and reviewed for adequacy on a monthly basis.
- Ensure adequate CAPEX control exists in the BU. Additions are processed in compliance with policy with necessary justification, comparative quotes, etc. Assets are periodically verified, tagged, variances reported, and adjustments made with appropriate approvals.
- Ensure financial systems/modules (ERP, EPM, SAP, CDK, etc.) are adequately configured with necessary control and validation checks.
- Receivables
- Ensure appropriate Receivables monitoring & collection process exists in BU.
- Adherence to Group Credit Control policy.
- Ensure necessary documentation is in place to facilitate recovery of dues in case of legal action.
- Exchange of monthly statements and quarterly balance confirmation with customers.
- Dues to be collected within approved credit period.
- Ensure adequate provision is created as per Group policy, also compared with ECL method as per IFRS 9, and maintain whichever is higher.
- Payables
- Ensure appropriate procure-to-pay process in place.
- Vendor credit terms are periodically reviewed.
- Vendor balances are reconciled monthly and balance confirmations obtained quarterly.
- Ensure effective planning and execution to have positive cash flows month-over-month.
- Ensure no idle cash remains in the Business by resorting to,
- repatriating loans if any and/or
- investing in FDs.
- Major unexpected collections and payments to be immediately informed to GT for effective cash management.
- Extend complete support to GIA initiatives & verifications.
- Ensure all compliance/responses are coordinated with respective stakeholders and submitted within stipulated timelines.
- Escalate overdue High-Risk open items on priority for resolution and coordinate for timely closure.
- Follow up on all action items assigned to Business stakeholders and ensure closure within the agreed timeline.
- Bachelor's Degree and Master’s with a minimum of 10 - 15 years of professional experience in Accounts/Finance.
- Qualified Finance Professional holding CA / CPA / CMA / ACCA is mandatory.
- Proven work experience at Managerial Level or similar role for at least 5 years, with exposure to Automotive Trading/Engineering/EPC/Contracting/Construction/Remittance/Insurance.
- Strong knowledge in business analytics combined with advanced technical skills, working with different stakeholders.
- Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced financial systems to improve efficiency, transparency, and decision-making.
- Experience in overseeing Supply Chain Management (SCM), Inventory, Warehouse & Logistics Management.

Your role will include the ability to grow, lead a team of dedicated engineers aiming at adapting our products to automotive and industrial specific requirements. You will represent Canonical and Ubuntu in the industrial and automotive community and standards consortia. You and your team will make sure our Linux distribution and products, as well as ways of working, are supporting standards addressing processes, cyber-security and safety concerns such as described by (but not limited to) IEC 61508, ISO9001 and Automotive specific ISO 21434 UNECE R155 & R156, ISO26262 ASIL (from B to D) or ASPICE. At the same time, we aim at enhancing the delivery quality, security and developer experience where you will be expected to lead, challenge, and positively influence the culture and work with your team on strategy and execution. You will report directly to our Vice President of Engineering Excellence and work closely with the Automotive Product Manager to define and execute a vision and roadmap for automotive at Canonical.

What you'll do
- Work with Product Management to refine the vision and strategy for automotive at Canonical
- Define and execute an engineering roadmap for the automotive team at Canonical
- Represent Ubuntu and Canonical in the automotive community, in front of customers, partners and consortia
- Lead our Linux distribution and open source software strategy in Automotive
- Build and lead a globally distributed team of engineers and coordinate, guide and oversee their work
- Develop skills through coaching, feedback and hands-on technical leadership
- Set and manage expectations with other engineering teams, senior management, and external stakeholders
- Advocate and advance modern, agile software development practices
- Help develop and evangelize great engineering and organizational practices
- Grow a healthy, collaborative engineering culture in line with the company values
- Work from home with international travel twice a year, up to two weeks at a time, for company events
- You have a strong software engineering, Linux, and open source background
- You have in-depth knowledge in Linux packages and embedded development

What your day will look like
- Engage customers during presales to gather requirements and explain our technology

What we are looking for in you
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical field

+ Performs initial inspections to determine the nature and extent of equipment repairs required.
+ Performs final inspections on systems after repairs have been completed.
+ Inspects parts and assemblies of AC and FSS systems as required.
+ Determines serviceability of parts, diagnoses and determines remedies for failures commonly encountered in the repairs of vehicle A/C and FSS systems using a variety of diagnostic techniques and TMDE with little or no supervision.

**Education:**
+ High school diploma or equivalent required
**Experience:**
+ 3 or more years' experience with HVAC systems and equipment required.
+ 2 or more years of Quality Control/Inspection experience required.
**Specialized Knowledge and Skills:**
+ Must have knowledge of diagnostic tools and forms used at the Field and Sustainment levels.
+ Must be able to read and understand communications and electronic equipment schematics.
+ Must have thorough knowledge of military technical publications.
+ Must have a collaborative work style that fosters cooperation and teamwork.
+ Must be customer service focused.
+ Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently.
+ Must be able to communicate clearly with all levels of personnel.
+ Excellent organizational skills.
**Certification, License & Clearance:**
+ EPA 609 certification in vehicle HVAC recovery, recharge and installation or equivalent, is preferred but not required.
+ Must have a current, valid driver's license.
+ Tier 1 NACI required for all U.S. Citizens.
**Work Environment, Physical Demands & Mental Demands:**
+ Ability to perform job duties efficiently and effectively.
+ Must be able to work in extreme environmental conditions including dust and high temperatures.
+ Must be able to endure long hours, exposure to weather and hazardous conditions.
+ Must be able to lift up to 50 Lbs.
