The Role

Presidio seeks a hands-on technical leader to fill the role of Managing Consultant for the Tri-State region's Network and Security practice. This individual will provide technical oversight for an engineering team, ensuring projects are completed successfully, engineers are prepared, and client expectations are met or exceeded. The role involves leading complex implementations, design workshops, and supporting pre-sales activities for professional services engagements.

The position requires overseeing a team of engineers, ensuring adherence to best practices, and delivering a superb customer experience.

Travel Requirements

Travel up to 25%. Based in the Tri-State region.

Responsibilities
  1. Technical Leadership:
    • Oversee network and security project execution from design to troubleshooting.
    • Guide and assure quality for network designs aligning with business goals and budgets.
    • Support troubleshooting efforts for complex network issues.
  2. Client Relationships:
    • Serve as customer-facing technical leader for all service engagements, including escalations.
  3. Business Management:
    • Collaborate with sales, pre-sales, project management, and engineering teams to deliver solutions and meet project goals.
  4. Team Building:
    • Foster a culture of growth, focusing on technical and professional development.
Required Skills and Experience
  • Advanced Networking Expertise (e.g., Cisco, BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, IP design)
  • Cloud Networking & SD-WAN experience (AWS, Azure, GCP, Aviatrix, Viptela, etc.)
  • Security solutions deployment (Palo Alto, Cisco FirePower, Meraki, etc.)
  • Strong troubleshooting and communication skills
  • 2+ years' team leadership or management experience, 8+ years in networking/security projects, Bachelor's degree or equivalent
Preferred Skills & Certifications
  • Experience with Fortinet, Arista, Aruba, automation scripting (Python, TCL)
  • Certifications like CCNP, CCIE, PCNSA, PCCSE, PCNSE

  • Have full oversight of Cyber Recovery solutions at all stages of the lifecycle - from initial requirement gathering/validation, through to solution design and delivery
  • Plan implementations and advance strategies for new initiatives

Essential Requirements

  • Excellent technical knowledge of Cyber Recovery and Data Protection solutions
  • Experience with Data Protection/Backup Recovery Tools & Architecture (Networker, NetBackup, Veeam, TSM, Commvault, etc.) as well as Data Domain and Avamar Technologies
  • Advanced writing skills and demonstrated ability to document processes for the customer
  • Advanced communication skills in working with the customer including awareness of stakeholders and ability to influence outcomes
  • Advanced knowledge, understanding and application of project management principles and methodologies
  • 10-15+ years' experience with the above

Desirable Requirements

  • Strong Understanding of the wider IT landscape including Network, Storage, Compute , Replication, Backup/Recovery Architectures

• Understand assigned project responsibilities and keep the project on schedule and budget by communicating progress and expectations and escalating issues for awareness and/or resolution.
• Perform software implementations at leading oil and gas companies.
• Hands-on in delivery of projects in support of overall program goals and deliverables.
• Ensure that clients needs are fulfilled by providing professional high-quality service and assistance before, during and after customer's requirements are met.
• Support clients through go-live process and a play key role in promoting solution adoption.
• Frequently and proactively communicate project deliverables including managing expectations, presenting and interfacing with stakeholders and sponsors.
• Solve challenging technical support questions related to the solution suite.
• Work effectively across internal departments (product development, solutions architects, quality assurance, sales, marketing).

• University Degree Petroleum, Industrial, Mechanical, Geology, Engineering, Economics or Business Management degree.

• Experience in Oil and Gas Upstream Planning, Petroleum Economics or Reservoir Engineering.
• 10+ years of experience on the above
