HSE Officer Education and Experience:

The Food Safety Officer plays a crucial role in ensuring that food products meet safety standards and regulations. This position involves monitoring food safety practices, conducting inspections, and implementing policies to protect public health. The officer will work closely with food businesses, government agencies, and the community to promote safe food handling practices and educate stakeholders about food safety issues.

Responsibilities:

1. Conduct regular inspections of food establishments to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
2. Develop and implement food safety training programs for staff and management.
3. Investigate foodborne illness outbreaks and take appropriate action to mitigate risks.
4. Prepare and maintain accurate records of inspections, violations, and corrective actions taken.
5. Collaborate with local health departments and regulatory agencies to enforce food safety laws.
6. Provide technical assistance and guidance to food businesses on best practices in food safety.
7. Monitor food safety trends and emerging issues to inform policy development.
8. Participate in community outreach programs to raise awareness about food safety.
9. Review and update food safety policies and procedures as needed.
10. Assist in the development of emergency response plans related to food safety incidents.

Responsibilities

• Ensure security of the entire campus, including parking areas
• Maintain fire and emergency procedures and ensure compliance with regulations
• Communicate safety and security protocols across the campus
• Maintain records, statistics, and incident reports as directed
• Investigate incidents and accidents, reporting them to the appropriate departments
