We are hiring an experienced and driven

Well Engineer – Drilling & Completions

to support Baker Hughes in its operations with Kuwait Oil Company (KOC). This position involves designing, planning, and executing safe, efficient, and cost-effective drilling and completion programs. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background and practical experience in both office-based planning and field operations. Key Responsibilities: Develop Well designs and operational programs for drilling and completions. Ensure compliance with HSE policies, drilling safety standards, and environmental regulations. Oversee and support field execution, ensuring technical integrity and operational efficiency. Prepare and review technical documents, well proposals, AFE, end-of-well reports, and risk assessments. Collaborate with service companies, contractors, and internal stakeholders to ensure seamless operations. Attend and lead meetings with clients, vendors, and cross-functional teams as needed. Monitor and evaluate well performance and recommend improvements. Maintain up-to-date records of operational procedures and engineering calculations. Ensure full adherence to company work processes, engineering standards, and KOC guidelines. Provide troubleshooting support during field operations and contribute to post-job analysis. Required Qualifications & Experience: MSc or B.Sc. in Engineering or Scientific Discipline. Minimum 6 years of relevant industry experience in a well engineering role (drilling or completions). Demonstrated expertise in well design, well planning, well control principles, environmental compliance, and operational execution. Experience with both field and office operations within an Integrated Services Oilfield Services (OFS) company. Proficient in Microsoft Office and industry-standard well engineering software (e.g., Landmark, WellPlan, Drillbench). Working knowledge of Weatherford processes, procedures, and QHSE standards is an asset. Fluent in written and spoken English. Fluency in Arabic as second language is preferred. Skills & Attributes: Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills—especially under pressure. Ability to lead and participate in technical meetings with clients, vendors, and field teams. High level of discipline, initiative, and self-motivation. Demonstrated leadership in team environments with ability to follow direction and provide guidance. Additional Information: The contract may be extended based on performance and operational needs. Responsibilities

• Point of contact for client requests, queries, calls and advice.
• Responsible for monitoring daily MPD reporting including DDR, DDG and any other reports requested by the client.
• Responsible for performing hydraulic calculations, simulations, MPD game plans including MPC.
• Draw up MPD Strategies, forward plans alongside client Drilling Engineers.
• Offer advice and support for any MPD related queries from field crew, including equipment and software troubleshooting.
• Pursue all MPD related queries, and ensure maximum utilization of MPD equipment.
• Establish and setup calls to discuss strategy and drilling plans with field crew.
• Keep updated on all inspection, testing requirements for the Managed Pressure Drilling Services equipment
• Keep updated on Managed Pressure Drilling Services equipment, upgrades, mechanical and hydraulic equipment manufacturing or regulatory standards.
• Raise and monitor WISE queries.
• Monitor and review all EOWR,
• Know and understand Weatherford Quality Policy and comply with all requirements of the Quality Systems Manual, Operating and Technical Procedures and Workplace Instructions
• Comply with Weatherford and client Quality, Health, Security and Environment (QHSE) procedures and documentation.
• Actively participate in ToolBox talks, RADAR programme and all safety requirements.
• Must understand and comply with all safety rules and company policies of Weatherford
• Required to complete the competency and training requirements identified by Global and Regional Management.
• Attend symposiums, Expos’, trade shows as may be required by regional team.
• Draw up or assist to submit SPE papers on new developments and findings, within the region.
