Overview

Under the direction of the Supply Chain Manager, leads a team of procurement professionals supporting V2X programs from the Chennai Office. Responsible for cradle to grave purchasing activities, including RFP/quote issuance, cost/price analysis, negotiations, awards and change management through Modifications and Amendments. Administers in a paralegal manner on interpretations of Regional Agreements and Amendments and other procurement legal documents. Responsibilities
  • Administer service contracts, fabrication requests, and blanket purchase agreements.
  • Ensure all actions of the team, including regional agreements and PO awards, comply with V2X Corporate Purchasing procedures and policies and Government Prime Contract requirements.
  • Review and interpret subcontracts specifications, requirements, and terms for incorporation into proposals to customers.
  • Support the issuance of RFPs to prospective suppliers and provide expertise to service selection activities.
  • Direct coordination with other departments on procurement matters; prepare responses to customer correspondence and requests.
  • Lead negotiations with suppliers; document reviews of Purchase Orders, BPAs and Regional Agreements; make recommendations to management to execute procurement documents; obtain necessary consent and execute orders.
  • Perform other duties as required.
Qualifications
  • Education: BS/BA degree preferred. One year of related experience may substitute for one year of education if degree is required.
  • Experience: 10+ years in procurement, subcontracting, purchasing and contract management. Working knowledge of FAR, contract law, purchasing policies and procedures. Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel. Ability to train, lead projects, and direct employees. Strong customer service orientation, detail focus, proactive behavior, and multi-task capability. Clear written and oral communication skills.
