This role will sit in North Dakota.

Responsibilities include:

  • Planning, designing, and directing engineering projects
  • Mentor others in the transportation market in North Dakota
  • Promote the reputation of the company and increase business by being widely recognized outside the company as a technical expert
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously for NDDOT
  • Review invoicing and personnel assignments
  • Negotiate contracts for both prime and sub roles

Some travel, as well as a valid driver's license and clean driving record will be required.

The successful candidate will have all of the following:

  • A bachelor's degree (or higher) in civil engineering
  • 8 years of relevant work experience
  • A PE license in North Dakota or ability to obtain within 3 months of hire

The ideal candidate will have experience with any/all of the following:

  • NDOT experience
  • Rural and urban roadway design and interchanges
  • Designing roundabouts or diverging diamond intersections
  • Previous experience marketing and attracting clients to win work for the company

**Purpose:** Performs mission support analysis and duties pertaining to transportation functional areas and ensures supporting requirements and implied tasks are accomplished to standard and within required timelines at the Port (Aerial / Seaport).
**Essential Duties and Responsibilities:**
+ Manages and leads transportation employees performing transportation operations.
+ Ensure proper policies and procedures for Port procedures are followed in accordance with PWS and Port / SDDC regulations.
+ Responsibility for transportation operations and other related transportation operations activities.
+ Prepares and presents required briefings and attends meetings and provides technical advice on transportation services and IAW Defense Transportation Regulation (DTR).
+ Responsible for ensuring program logistics resources (supply, transportation, and maintenance) can adequately support each mission requirement.
+ Participates in various program or SDDC briefings concerning ongoing Port operations.
+ Assist with the coordination of a multiple mission requirements including APS Set Readiness for Port missions.
+ Serve as the liaison between all departments to achieve a cohesive end result.
+ Completes Port Yard reports, Vessel upload / download reports, and monitors all AMC equipment assigned to ASG Customer.
+ Performs other related duties as assigned or directed.
**Minimum Position Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities**
**Education:**
+ High school diploma or equivalent required
**Experience:**
+ Must have 7 years' experience supervising or managing Transportation and or Movement Control is required, and a comprehensive knowledge of governing regulations, policies and procedures.
+ Transportation experience with all types of line haul and APS fleet equipment.
+ Preferred knowledge and experience uploading / downloading airfield and seaport vessels.
+ Prior military experience preferred.
**Specialized Knowledge and Skills:**
+ Must have a comprehensive knowledge of the Logistics STAMIS in use and must have the ability to properly monitor production for compliance with scheduling directives, cost factors and other applicable standards.
+ Must be well versed in Army operating methodologies and the use of appropriate logistic information systems.
+ Must be familiar and knowledgeable of DoD 4500.9-R.
+ Must have general office administrative skills required.
+ Must have in-depth knowledge in transportation.
+ Must have the ability to interpret and implement local policies.
+ Must have an intermediate level of proficiency in the use of MS Office, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Project and Outlook.
+ Must have progressive written and oral communications skills.
+ Must have strong interpersonal communication skills and ability to work and communicate with others effectively.
+ US Army 88N experience preferred.
**Certification & License:**
+ Tier 1 NACI required for all U.S. Citizens.
+ Ability to obtain SAAR approval for NIPR access required.
+ CDL or Kuwait Heavy License preferred.
**Facility credentials/authorization required** : Must be able to obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorization.
Note: U.S. Citizenship is required to for facility credentials/authorization at this work location.
**Work Environment, Physical Demands & Mental Demands:**
+ Ability to perform job duties efficiently and effectively.

  • Experience with projects involving concept design, engineering, and feasibility studies for railway and road connections.
  • Membership in professional institutions and relevant licensure preferred.
  • GCC experience is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of transportation planning principles, traffic operations, and multi-modal systems.
  • Strong understanding of modeling methods (macroscopic, mesoscopic, microscopic) and calibration techniques.

Job Description

**Purpose:** Provides Movement Transportation Control Support.
**Es** **s** **e** **ntial Duties and Responsibilities:**
+ Provides movement control support for surface, air and vessel movement of cargo through the U.S. Military Transportation System.
+ Leads subordinates on the daily operations.
+ Identifies and troubleshoots problem areas in movement and recommends solutions to management. Works closely with customers to ensure desired movement objectives, priorities, and schedules are met and communicated to management.
+ Prepares, compiles, and submits reports on work activities, operations, and production.
+ Confers with customers, supervisors, contractors, and other personnel to exchange information and resolve problems.
+ May be required to perform seaport, airport, A/DACG, HTD, HAZMAT and other movement control support functions.
+ Responsible for operating Transportation Coordinators Automated Information for Movement System (TC-AIMS).
+ Responsible for operating Integrated Computerized Deployment System (ICODES) Air Load Planning module.
+ Builds Unit Line Number Responsible for operating TIPS Write Software to write Radio Frequency Identification Tags (RFID Tags) for equipment being processed for Movement.
+ (ULN) Packets for submission to the (JOPES) Joint Operations Planning and Execution System.
+ Responsible for receiving, validating, and processing all Transportation Movement Request (TMR) and Air Movement Request (AMR) for equipment transiting, origination and terminating assigned MCT Area of Responsibility. Coordinates between MCT functions to ensure efficient, timely, cost-effective support to the customer.
+ Performs other duties as required.
**M** **i** **nimum Position Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Education:**
+ High school diploma or equivalent required.
**Ex** **perience:**
+ 3 years of Movement Transportation Control and Coordination experience required.
+ Load Planner experience preferred.
+ Prior experience with TC-AIMS, TIPS WRITE, and ICODES preferred.
+ US Army MOS 88N preferred.
**S** **pecialized Knowledge and Skills:**
+ Must have knowledge of movement request through the proper Port of Embarkation (POE) and Port of Debarkation (POD) to ensure the proper abbreviated MIL codes are used.
+ Ability to adjust procedures and operations as required to accomplish work effectively and efficiently.
+ Must be familiar with Army Information Management Systems for Movement to include knowledge and expertise in the Army Transportation System.
+ Requires a collaborative work style that fosters cooperation and teamwork.
+ Must be able to work effectively with all levels of employees.
+ Ability to prioritize work required.
**Certification, License & Clearance:**
+ Valid Driver's License is required.
+ **AMMO 62 HAZDEC certification required.**
+ Secret Security Clearance required.
+ U.S. Citizenship required.
**Active Clearance is required** : Must have an active Tier 3 Secret U.S. Government clearance.
Note: U.S. Citizenship is required to obtain a Tier 3 Secret clearance.
**W** **ork Environment, Physical Demands and Mental Demands:**
+ Ability to perform job duties efficiently and effectively.
+ Must be able to work in extreme environmental conditions including dust and high temperatures.
+ Must be able to endure long hours, exposure to weather and hazardous conditions.
+ Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.
