**Transportation Manager**

DLA Troop Support Subsistence Directorate provides full line food distribution service in the IJKS countries. DLA are proud to support the warfighter and federal partners with quality, nutritious foods to meet a variety of demands.

**Duties**
- Responsible for the performance of the work of full contract matters relating to the daily transportation and logistics operations
- Oversees and responds to any requests of Program leadership and perform any other duties as assigned by the Program leadership team
- Supervision and management of all transportation and logistics activities required
- Ensuring functions such as (1) the base motor pool, (2) management of the NTV training and licensing program, (3) management and maintenance of the fleet
- Will utilize maps and geolocation technologies in accordance with all safety guidance to Asset and route optimization with safety as first priority
- Responsible for all driver vetting
- Responsible for development, filing, tracking and updating of all gate approvals
- Is aware of the local municipality procedures for disposal and ensures these are adhered and followed

**Experience**
- Strong communication skills and be capable of adjusting to the communication style appropriate for the audience
- Ability to listen and understand supported unit requirements
- Knowledgeable about and have experience with the military decision-making process
- Previous work experience in an austere OCONUS environment with a multi-national workforce
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Strong computer skills, specifically in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Valid driver's license and passport

- Provides movement control support for surface, air and vessel movement of cargo through the U.S. Military Transportation System.
- Leads subordinates on the daily operations.

**Minimum Position Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Education**:

- High school diploma or equivalent required.

**Experience**:

- 2 years of Movement Transportation Control and Coordination experience required.
- Load Planner experience preferred
- Prior experience with TC-AIMS, TIPS WRITE, and ICODES preferred.
- US Army MOS 88N preferred.

**Specialized Knowledge and Skills**:

- Must have knowledge of movement request through the proper Port of Embarkation (POE) and Port of Debarkation (POD) to ensure the proper abbreviated MIL codes are used.
- Ability to make adjustments in procedures and operations to accomplish work effectively and efficiently.
- Ability to prioritize work.
- Must be familiar with Army Information Management Systems for Movement to include knowledge and expertise in the Army Transportation System.
