Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Test Engineer to join our banking project team in Kuwait. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in NPSS, NPCI, and other similar payment solutions , with hands-on expertise in functional, regression, and integration testing.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and validate functional test cases ; support UAT in collaboration with business users.
• Analyze business requirements and functional specifications for ACH, DMS, and WPS modules. (either of this)
• Design, develop, and execute end-to-end test cases including regression and integration scenarios.
• Lead testing efforts for client ecosystem interfaces, payment file formats, and regulatory compliance.
• Perform defect tracking and root cause analysis ; drive closure with development teams.
• Participate in automation strategy for repetitive test cases (where applicable).
• Liaise with business teams during UAT and support production verification activities.
• Strong domain expertise in NPSS, NPCI, and other similar payment solutions , with understanding of CBK guidelines.
• ACH: Clearing cycles, file formats, settlement process.
• DMS: Case management and resolution workflows.
• WPS: Salary file validation, reporting, and compliance rules.
• Familiarity with ISO 20022 file formats and messaging standards.
• Strong communication skills for engaging with business and technical stakeholders.
• Understanding of payment system regulatory compliance in Kuwait.

Desired Skills

• Experience with Central Bank-led projects in the GCC region.
• Knowledge of reconciliation and settlement processes .
• Familiarity with API-based integrations in payment systems.

What your day will look like

• Monitor indicators of quality across the Ubuntu ecosystem and products
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues in Ubuntu Desktop, Ubuntu Server and Ubuntu Core

• Report on KPIs and analytical insights
• Empower other teams for better planning and constant quality improvements
• Develop, enhance and automate test cases, from unit tests to end-to-end multi machine workloads
