Systems Engineer

The Systems Engineer shall perform the following specific tasks and skills:

- Shall troubleshoot and identify sources of problems and resolve issues related to the software and network
- Shall provide Tier 2 and/or Tier 3 network support for a complex enterprise WAN and LAN network connections with STRMM
- Shall monitor and resolve service requests in accordance with published SLAs
- Shall assist with documentation on incidents and trouble tickets
- Shall assist in establishing and enforce best practice processes for network management, including configurations, monitoring, patch management and security
- Shall have managerial experience in supporting a network system
- Shall have experience with Global Security Systems (GSS), Access Control entry (ACE), Wireless, Riverbeds, Infoblox.
- Shall have in-depth knowledge of complex LAN/WAN communications, network hardware such as Cisco routers, Ethernet switches, bridges, gateways and Palo Alto firewalls.
- Shall have knowledge of routing protocols such as RIP, EIGRP, BGP and OSPF.
- Shall have knowledge of programing languages, VMware, Python, and Java
- Shall have strong understanding and practical experience with technologies like Multi-Schedule Private Line Service Tariffs (MPLS), Virtual Private LAN Service (VPLS), MLA Virtual Private Network (VPNs) and Traffic Engineering Duties involve among others, management of local and wide area network, projects, and installation of new devices, system and on-going maintenance of infrastructure.
- Shall have working knowledge of all the software supporting the SMC as it is stated in the contract as well Windows and Linux computing environments
- Shall have working knowledge of Linux
- Shall have knowledge of DoD cyber security requirements, such as STIGS, IAVAs and RMF
- Shall be knowledgeable in hardware associated with SATCOM terminals connected to STRMM and Monitor & Control software. In addition, the Field N/S Admin shall be familiar with modern web development (HTML5, JS, CSS, etc.) and coordinating with the Network Engineer and the Network System Manager for system priorities.

**Job Requirements**:

Responsibilities
+ Provides Enterprise-level support for Active Directory, Azure Active Directory (Entra ID), and Windows File Services in an Enterprise environment for global initiatives.
+ Performs problem Management and Root Cause Analysis for Corporate Identity Management in a large-scale Department of Defense setting.
+ Serves as escalation point for application support and troubleshooting, provides guidance and direction in the resolution of escalated issues and complex production, application, or system problems.
+ Installs, configures, and maintains Microsoft Active Directory, Microsoft Enterprise tools, and third-party software.
+ Coordinates and implement patch management, monthly Windows update deployments process to Servers and Workstations, Analyze SCCM / Intune log files, application packaging, and distribution, operating system deployment (OSD), custom reporting using SQL and creating WQL queries. Create desktop and server images utilizing technologies such as MDT.
+ Create and maintain system documentation for domain technologies, including installation, configuration, and appropriate troubleshooting steps.
+ Improve existing processes through solutions to recurring problems and enhancements to existing solutions or documentation.
+ Ability to troubleshoot servers and infrastructure equipment, assess networking requirements and provide solutions, and make accurate and independent decisions under pressure.
