The Systems Administrator I monitors the Tier 1 and/or 2 server operations/performance using appropriate software applications and tools. The Administrators shall be the Helpdesk POC for all theater NIPR and SIPR enterprise systems issues, create and/or manage trouble tickets, and monitor status and report outages to NOC Operations. Program: OMDAC-SWACA.

Responsibilities

• Operates and maintains all aspects of server administration to include, but is not limited to, Active Directory OU management (Users, Computers, MAB), security groups, Windows File Server, Network Policy Server (NPS), DHCP, Print Server, Internet Information Services (IIS), and application servers such as GemOne.
• Create, modify, and deactivate user accounts as necessary.
• Knowledge of configuring and troubleshooting Microsoft servers on NIPR, SIPR, and SIPR-REL.
• Management of Microsoft System Center Operations Manager (SCOM) and Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM).
• Utilize vSphere clients to conduct snapshots and monitor system availability.
• Perform regular maintenance, installing IAVA-approved patches to enforce server security and maintain system availability.
• Maintain system hardening by following DISA Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs).
• Utilize AESMP ticketing system to document troubleshooting steps prior to completing and/or escalating to the next level of support.
• Performs other duties and assignments as required.

Qualifications

• Security Clearance: Requires an active Secret Clearance.
• Education / Certifications: One-year related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if a degree is required. Associate Degree in Information Technology (IT) or a related field.
• DoD M: All candidates must maintain at least one baseline certification and one Computing Environment (CE) certification. Baseline certifications cannot be used as a CE certification.
• Baseline certifications include: Cisco CCNA Security, Cisco CCNP Security, CompTIA CASP+, CompTIA CySA+ (cannot be used as a dual qualifier), CompTIA Security+, GIAC GCED, GIAC GCIH, GIAC GICSP, GIAC GSEC, ISACA CISA, (ISC)2 CISSP or Associate, ISC2 SSCP.

The candidate must be able to coordinate and oversee system backups, hardware installation, software installation, and system upgrades. The position will require individuals to establish work center schedules, maintain exceptional conduct and discipline, and ensures all subordinates are adequately trained to perform assigned tasks. Experience:

The Systems Administrator II is required to be an expert in all functions of both IAT Level I and IAT Level II positions relating to a Windows Server operating system environment. The Systems Administrator II must be able to apply extensive knowledge of a variety of the IA field’s concepts, practices, and procedures to ensure the secure integration and operation of all enclave systems (NIPR, SIPR, SIPR-REL, CX-SWA, CPN-X, Wireless etc.). Must be able to rely on extensive experience and judgement to plan and accomplish goals for the enclave environment.
