**Student Affairs Coordinator**

Job Purpose:
Reporting to the Director of Student Affairs, the Student Affairs Coordinator will develop and implement various student engagement activities. The incumbent will assist the Director of Student Affairs in providing enriching engagement opportunities, resources, and support services. The Student Affairs coordinator will supervise and monitor various activities and assist in the event planning of all high-impact activities and events. The incumbent will work to further the overall mission of AIU and create transformative learning experiences that enhance students’ co-curricular experiences. The Student Affairs Coordinator will develop and implement regular leadership opportunities for students.
- Design, establish, and conduct student engagement initiatives
- Manage game room attendants and close game room daily
- Manage check-out of all equipment and games and regularly update inventory
- Provide clerical assistance including copying, typing, data entry, mailings, and financial reimbursement submissions
- Attend and supervise various student and university-sponsored activities as needed
- Coordinate with outside vendors
- Promote, organize, and coordinate student engagement events with the Director of Student Affairs
- Coordinate with finance regarding relevant campus activities budgets
- Maintain accurate records of all student activities and regularly update SharePoint files
- Monitor on-campus signage and poster display locations for notices that are outdated or no longer pertinent
- Facilitate training for full Student Affairs student workers
- Assist with New Student Orientation planning and execution
- Maintain an inventory of all equipment, games, and stock in storage
- Draft community communications for events
- Communicate setup requests with appropriate departments, including security, facilities, housekeeping, maintenance, food and beverage, and inventory
- Assists the Director of Student Affairs with the planning and execution of high-impact events
- Manage student events requests and campus space allocation
- Maintains and regularly publishes an up-to-date calendar of activities and events
- Create and maintain an online student engagement portal
- Coordinate campus leadership programs under the direction of the Director of Student Affairs and maintain accurate records of all programs
- Supervise student engagement activities and ensure policies are being implemented
- Assist with the planning and organization of New Student Orientation and Welcome Week.
- Perform all other duties, and assist with various projects, committees, and tasks as needed.
**Skills**:
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in English
- Native-level fluency in English
- Exceptional time management skills and ability to multitask
- Ability to carry out clerical tasks
- Proficient in Microsoft office and excel
- highly motivated team player willing to work in a collaborative environment
- Demonstrated understanding of, and a commitment to AIU’s mission.
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills necessary for maintaining positive interactions with students, faculty, and staff.
Experience and Education:
- Bachelor's degree required; Master’s degree is preferred
- Excellent written and oral communication in English
- Proficiency in Excel, Word, and various other platforms
- Demonstrated project management experience
- Demonstrated ability to work with various departments and organizations
- Experience managing budgets

Job Title**:Associate Vice President for Student Affairs**

Reports to: Executive Vice President
Job Purpose: Serve as a member of the President's Cabinet; serve as Student Affairs Officer and provide executive leadership for the overall planning, implementation, and evaluation of student affairs and enrollment management functions within the context of the institutional mission; ensure assigned departments fulfill college goals and objectives.
**Duties**:
- Serve as a member of the President's executive staff, participating in discussions, decision making, and policy making
- Provide highly responsible organizational and staff support to the President's Office particularly as it relates to student issues
- Lead all enrollment management and student affairs functions of the College
- Serve as the chief student advocate
- Develop, plan, implement and evaluate programs and services as well as establishing policies and procedures necessary to support student enrollment, engagement and persistence
- With the President and VPAA, work closely with the institutional Partner universities to supervise successful transfer and implementation of all programs; maintain and enhance the relationships between AIU and the Partners
- Create co-curricular opportunities for students intended to enhance the learning experience; work with the VPAA to ensure that all co-curricular programs work to enhance student learning and growth inside and outside the classroom
- Work with the VPAA and VPESL to coordinate enrollment management (student outreach, retention, and persistence efforts) in accordance with the college’s strategic plan
- Work closely with the VPAA on student-related issues, such as enrollment management, academic advising, course scheduling, and co-curricular programming
- Supervise and direct, in conjunction with Director of Enrollment and Director of Marketing & Communications, student-related marketing and research initiatives
- Assist in the implementation and maintenance of Student Information System in conjunction with the IT Department and other related departments
- Select, train, lead and evaluate staff; establish and monitor employee performance objectives; prepare and present employee performance reviews; provide or coordinate staff development
- Lead and supervise Enrollment & Government Scholarship Services; all Student Life functions including athletics, counseling and career services; Registration Services
- Develop and maintain policy and procedure manuals related to divisional programs and services; ensure that all departments also create and maintain these manuals
- Assist in the owners’ planning of the institutional budget by providing accurate student enrollment projections and data
- Manage the divisional budget, assist with identification and prioritization of needs and purchases for assigned program areas; monitor expenditures
- Prepare and present reports and other necessary correspondence as it relates to students
- Serve on a variety of committees and task forces
- Represent the College at community and outside organization functions
- Represent the President's Office as required
- Keep abreast of developments in enrollment management, student services, higher education, and fields related to assigned functions
- Other duties as assigned
