Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree BEd, BA
- Qualified teacher status (QTS), preferably having experience working in international private schools abroad & having knowledge of the English National Curriculum
- Having experience teaching SEN primary students
- Knowledge of National Curriculum requirements at KS1 & KS2
- Have successful teaching experience at the secondary level
- Good level of ICT skills - Google certified (preferably having Google Educator Level 1 certificate)
- Support the school's policies and implement the school's philosophy/vision and objectives.
- Have a secure knowledge of the English National Curriculum and teach all areas of the KS1 & KS2.
- Take responsibility for the progress of a class of 6-12 years age SEN pupils.
- Organise the classroom and learning resources and create displays to encourage a positive learning environment.
- Plan, prepare and present lessons that cater for the needs of the whole ability range within the class.
- Differentiate work and address students’ individual needs.
- Work with colleagues to plan and coordinate work - this includes working with support staff.
- Use keen observation skills ( summative-formative assessment) to assess each student, set individual targets and track progress.
- Manage behaviour effectively and possess good experience in implementing behaviour plans and strategies.
- Conduct extra-curricular activities like supporting school concerts, achievement ceremonies, sports days, excursions and field trips.
- Inform parents of student's progress through report cards and, where necessary, letters or individual meetings.
- Be available for all parent-teacher conferences.
- Attend all relevant meetings, including curriculum & planning meetings.
- Implement intervention plans to support students learning.
