Job Description

Jazeera Airways is looking for a Quality Control Officer who would be responsible for overseeing the quality of technical operations performed by the Maintenance Department. This role ensures compliance with regulatory and internal quality standards through coordination with internal and external departments.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Develops and implements a Quality Control system within the Maintenance Department.
  • Monitors compliance with Kuwait DGCA regulations, KCASRs, and ICAO Standards and Recommended Practices relevant to the Engineering Department.
  • Tracks updates to KCASR and IOSA regulations and ensures effective implementation.
  • Analyzes audit findings (internal/external), conducts root cause analysis, and recommends preventive and corrective actions.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Degree in Aeronautical or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in Quality Control or Quality Assurance in aviation.
  • Knowledge of Kuwait DGCA regulations, ICAO Standards, and relevant aviation quality systems.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

He/She maintains standards by verifying tests and audits comply with food safety regulations and requirements. He/She develops standard operating procedures (SOPs) aligned with the regulations and good manufacturing practices (GMPs). He/She also develops regulatory requirements and guidelines in food safety management and control, such as ISO standards and Hazards and Critical Control Points (HACCP) system.

**Responsibilities**

Perform quality control checks and generate QC reports for incoming and outgoing products to ensure that they meet quality and safety standards in accordance to SFA's regulations

Purpose: Performs scheduled and unscheduled inspections of maintenance vehicle and equipment repairs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • 1. Performs inspections on different classifications of wheeled vehicles/equipment at the unit and DS/GS levels.
  • 2. Conducts initial inspections upon delivery of equipment and records data information for the processing of maintenance work orders; troubleshoots identified faults and in-process inspections as required during their pair phase.
  • 3. Conducts a final inspection upon completion of maintenance repairs to ensure quality product outputs are met.
  • 4. Prepares records of inspection/tests and make them available to the QA/QC Department.
  • 5. Verifies procedures being used are adequate for the effective control of quality, rejects defective workmanship and materials, verifies and certifies the test results on supporting documents.
  • 6. Provides guidance and technical assistance to shop maintenance personnel on inspection principles of workmanship, procedures to be employed, and quality of work expected.
  • 7. Ensures compliance with government and corporate regulations, company SOPs, directives, and technical manuals to establish and maintain a quality management program.
  • 8. Maintains crosstalk with QA and LAR representatives.
  • 9. Coordinates with Shop Supervisor when technical problems arise, and in-depth mechanical knowledge is required.
  • 10. Cross trains when required to ensure maximum flexibility and possession of technical skills in the development and maintenance of quality programs.
  • 11. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Position Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

Experience:

  • 5 years of wheeled vehicle maintenance experience required.
  • 3 or more years of quality control/inspection experience required.
  • U.S. Army MOS 91 Series or other military equivalent preferred.

Specialized Knowledge and Skills:

  • Must have knowledge of diagnostic tools and forms used at the unit and DS/GS level.
  • Must be able to read and understand communications and electronic equipment schematics.
  • Must have thorough knowledge of military technical publications.
  • Must have a collaborative work style that fosters cooperation and teamwork.
  • Must be customer service focused.
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently.
  • Must be able to communicate clearly with all levels of personnel.
  • Excellent organizational skills.

Certification & License:

  • Tier 1 NACI required for all U.S. Citizens.

Facility credentials/authorization required : Must be able to obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorization.

Note: U.S. Citizenship is required to for facility credentials/authorization at this work location.

Work Environment, Physical Demands & Mental Demands:

  • Ability to perform job duties efficiently and effectively.
  • Must be able to work in extreme environmental conditions including dust and high temperatures.
  • Must be able to endure long hours, exposure to weather and hazardous conditions.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.
