Job Summary

The successful candidate will develop and deliver individualized education programs (IEPs), foster an inclusive learning environment, and work collaboratively with staff and parents to ensure each student reaches their full potential.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to each student’s specific needs.
- Adapt and modify lessons and teaching strategies to meet a variety of learning styles and abilities.
- Collaborate with classroom teachers to support inclusive practices and integrate students into mainstream classes where appropriate.
- Use a range of assessment tools to track and report student progress.
- Provide emotional and behavioral support to students, promoting their well-being and personal development.
- Maintain accurate records of student performance, interventions, and communications with parents.
- Engage with parents/guardians regularly to provide updates and involve them in the educational process.
- Work closely with external professionals (e.g., therapists, psychologists) when needed.
- Participate in professional development and contribute to school-wide inclusion initiatives.
- Bachelor’s degree in Special Education.
- 0-3 years experience working with students with special educational needs.
- Experience with a range of learning difficulties, including autism spectrum disorders, ADHD, speech and language delays, and physical or sensory impairments.
- Strong understanding of inclusive education practices.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting learners with diverse needs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and external professionals.
- Strong organizational and record-keeping abilities.
- Flexibility and creativity in problem-solving and lesson planning.

- Ability to work under pressure and prioritise effectively.
- A clean enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check and/or police check.
- High level of IT skills with experience in using Google Workspace, Zoom, Gmail, shared drives, etc as well as IT tools to record observations and assessment.
- Knowledge: In-depth understanding of SEN legislation, policies, and best practices. Familiarity with the British curriculum is advantageous.
