SOSi is seeking a Cyber Security Engineer to support a dynamic program in Kuwait. The Cyber Security Information System Security Officer (ISSO) A&A will provide guidance and assistance to the Authorization Official (AO) and Program – Information Systems Security Manager (P-ISSM) in protecting, detecting, characterizing, countering and mitigating unauthorized activity and vulnerabilities on DoD information networks and systems.

• Adhere to and enforce all relevant Cyber Security policies and procedures.
• Advise and assist organizations in the preparation of Risk Management Framework (RMF) documentation, Connection Approval Process (CAP), and Approval to Operate (ATO) requests for existing and proposed system or network changes.
• Provide oversight of Program Managed (PM) and Programs of Record (POR) cybersecurity compliance; coordinate certification and accreditation efforts for PM or POR systems.
• Ensure effective dissemination, reporting, compliance, and verification processes and procedures.
• Provide oversight of security violations reporting and incident handling.
• Audit configuration management and change control processes and procedures.
• Conduct cybersecurity inspections, assessments, tests and audits as required.
• Resolve information assurance help desk tickets.
• Able to socially interact with varying personalities to successfully communicate requirements of documentation and artifacts and results of validation.
• Demonstrate knowledge of wireless scanning and reporting.
• Participate in Weekly Charge Boards as the Cyber Security SME.
• Demonstrate good writing skills to help with the production of processes and policy.
• Demonstrate good speaking skills used to lead presentations regarding Cyber Activities.
• Attention to detail and good organizational skills.
• Required to produce Weekly Activity Reports to the direct manager.
• Manage, assign workload, and report activities to other Cyber Security personnel
• Active in scope DoD Top Secret security clearance.
• Must be IAM III compliant and possess a current VMware certification.
• Must have working knowledge of server, storage and desktop virtualization technologies.
• Minimum of 3 years of RMF experience in a combatant command engineering IT solutions for NIPRNET, SIPRNET, and CPN-X.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience supporting RMF and 7 years’ experience in DoD Cyber environments.
• Ability to meet Visa and CRC CENTCOM Mod-15 Deployment Requirements.
• Working environment is a climate-controlled facility.

WAN Security Engineers are required to be certified at the expert level in multiple disciplines of networks and security (e.g., CCNP/CCIE & CISSP). Responsibilities include design, troubleshooting, optimization, administration, change management, and documentation of core network technologies such as Cisco Firepower NGFW, Cisco FMC, Menlo CBII, Forescout Enterprise Manager, and Cisco ISE.

Responsibilities

• Provide enterprise-level support for network firewall access modifications, troubleshoot web browsing issues, and support DMZ-hosted services.
• Recommend network security policies, plan projects, manage changes, and oversee firewall and ACL management.
• Enforce security policies and investigate malicious network activity.
• Ensure compliance with DISA STIGs and perform system maintenance for vulnerabilities and compliance.
• Manage proxy web filtering policies and analyze logs for irregularities.
• Support AAA & auditing in Cisco ISE, and assist with C2C infrastructure and Zero Trust architecture.
• Monitor network device health, maintain network diagrams, and manage requests via ServiceNow.

Qualifications

• Active Secret Security Clearance.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in related fields.
• Adherence to DoD 8570.01M with at least one baseline and one CE certification (e.g., CCNP Security, CISSP).
• Minimum 10 years of experience with network and firewall technologies, VPN, TCP/IP troubleshooting.
• Proficiency with Cisco Firepower, FMC, Menlo CBII, Forescout, Cisco ISE, and related platforms.
• Strong technical, managerial, and analytical skills, with excellent communication and organizational abilities.

As part of the Ubuntu Security Team, you will work with some of the best and brightest people in technology to monitor, triage, respond to, and document new and existing vulnerabilities in open source software. The role entails

• Analyzing, fixing, and testing vulnerabilities in open source packages

• Collaborating with other teams in the Ubuntu community and upstream developers, as needed, to exchange or develop vulnerability patches and ensure that Ubuntu includes the most robust security features
• Auditing source code for vulnerabilities
