**Purpose**:The Security Guard Cleared position provides loss prevention and physical security to the site in order to maintain a safe and secure work environment. Must have the physical and mental capacity to effectively carry out detect, defer, observe and report process in order to safeguard property and personnel in assigned areas. The position will be required to work as a Roving Patrol.

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Stands static guard posts and conducts roving patrols of the work-site areas.
- Monitors and ensures proper identification of employees and visitors through access control points.
- Maintains entry and exit control logs and other required documentation.
- Follows detail instructions and procedures to accomplish work objectives in the performance of routine, repetitive standardized tasks.
- Observes, monitors and reports all incidents and suspicious activities in a timely manner.
- Completes required paperwork in a timely and correct fashion.
- Sounds alarm and/or calls police, fire, and emergency personnel in case of fire or medical emergencies.
- Establishes and maintains effective working relationships at all levels of the organization.
- Reports any alarms, suspicious activities, loss, damage or destruction of Government or Company property to the Security Operations Manager.
- Instills a safety-first mentality within respective work areas and a culture that achieves low accident rates and mínimal lost-time injuries.

**Minimum Position Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities**

**Education**:

- High school diploma or equivalent required.

**Experience**:

- 2-3 years of civilian and/or military security or law enforcement experience required.

**Specialized Knowledge and Skills**:

- Must have knowledge of security operations and procedures.
- Must have knowledge of supervisory principles and practices.
- Must have advanced written and oral communications skills.
- Must have strong interpersonal communication skills and ability to work and communicate with others effectively.

**Certification, License & Clearance**:

- Secret clearance required.
- Must be U.S. Citizen.

**Active Clearance is required**: Must have an active Tier 3 Secret U.S. Government clearance.

Note: U.S. Citizenship is required to obtain a Tier 3 Secret clearance.

**Work Environment, Physical Demands & Mental Demands**:

- Ability to perform job duties efficiently and effectively.
- Must be able to work in extreme environmental conditions including dust and high temperatures.
- Must be able to endure long hours, exposure to weather and hazardous conditions.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 Lbs.
