Job Description Reports To:
Head of Wealth Management & Private Credit Administration
Job Purpose:
Manage and perform in-depth assessment of customers' financial positions and performance based on their financials to support credit appraisal/review, including equity valuations and investment lending.
Generic Accountabilities
Corporate Governance and Compliance: Work fully within risk policies, procedures, and compliance regulations to ensure all activities adhere to corporate governance and legal frameworks.
Specific Accountabilities
Financial Analysis:
Interpret and analyze financial statements supported by spreadsheets and other data to produce reports that aid decision-making.
Credit Applications:
Prepare credit applications by providing financial analysis reports conforming to CBK standards.
Credit Committee:
Support credit review processes by providing detailed financial information to credit committees.
Information Gathering & Processing:
Manage information collection and processing within the unit, engaging with business units for clarifications on financials.
Credit Expertise:
Provide financial review expertise and independent opinions on customer financials.
Monitoring:
Continuously monitor and review granted credit facilities to ensure thresholds are maintained.
Job Success Factors
Education:
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent certification/experience.
Experience:
Minimum 5 years in banking, with expertise in financial analysis, tools, techniques, and methodologies. CFA or CFA Level 1 & 2, FRM, CCM, or ACCM is recommended.
Proven experience in financial analysis, handling financials, and providing high-quality credit analysis and advice.
Stay updated on industry news, trends, and macroeconomic factors.
Maintain and update credit files, follow up on facilities to ensure compliance with risk thresholds.
Skills
Understanding of corporate banking products and credit processes.
Expertise in accounting policies, standards, and financial analysis tools.
Effective communication and writing skills.
