We are looking for an experienced Procurement Officer to create and maintain good relationships with key suppliers to ensure all ingredients, packaging, equipment and services are of the highest quality and delivered on time. We're looking for someone focused on increasing productivity by introducing smart sourcing solutions and agile services to decrease manual work.

The ideal candidate has great analytical skills, leadership skills, food equipment technical skills, food ingredients technical skills, Also has the ability to identify the most profitable offers, evaluate vendors, negotiate contracts, and prepare reports. They are also well-versed in supply management principles and practices. The goal is to ensure the smooth operations of a variety of channels aiming for maximum efficiency by having outstanding service level with optimum cost and optimum inventory level.

• Responsible for capital equipment, services , food ingredients, packaging sourcing and procurement activities within assigned categories/locations.
• Collaborates with the project team to establish requirements and execute the full sourcing process to meet the defined technical scope of projects.
• Develop, lead and execute food and non-food sourcing strategies
• Work closely with the Operations team, Automation team, and Maintenance teams to enable fast execution of assets/ equipment procurement decisions.
• Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve the effectiveness
• Communicate with stakeholders (Supply chain, engineering, Finance, and kitchen team) to ensure clear requirements and services documentation
• Forecast price and market trends to identify changes of balance in buyer-supplier power
• Perform cost and scenario analysis, and benchmarking
• Seek and partner with reliable vendors and suppliers for Kitchen equipment and services
• Monitor and forecast upcoming levels of demand while determining the quantity and timing of deliveries

• Must have had a minimum of 3 years of previous proven experience as a purchasing officer or similar position

On behalf of our client, we are seeking candidates for the Procurement Officer role, who will be responsible for sourcing equipment, goods, and services, and managing vendors. The successful candidate will perform strategic procurement activities across multiple categories, search for better deals and find more profitable suppliers, and manage all aspects of the procurement process from requisition to payment. This role requires strong negotiation skills, attention to detail, and a deep understanding of supply chain management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and maintain strategic sourcing plans to identify and select suppliers for goods, services, and equipment, ensuring best value and quality.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing suppliers, negotiate contracts, terms, and deadlines, and manage supplier performance.
• Oversee the entire procurement cycle, including requisition processing, purchase order generation, delivery tracking, and invoice reconciliation.
• Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers, analyze market trends, and evaluate new products and services to ensure competitive pricing and quality.
• Lead negotiations with suppliers to secure advantageous terms, pricing, and service level agreements.
• Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies, procedures, and relevant legal and regulatory requirements. Identify and mitigate procurement-related risks.
• Monitor and manage procurement budgets, identify cost-saving opportunities, and contribute to financial planning.
• Maintain accurate records of all procurement activities, contracts, and supplier information. Prepare regular reports on procurement performance, savings, and key metrics.
• Collaborate closely with internal departments (e.g., finance, operations, legal) to understand their procurement needs and ensure timely and efficient delivery of goods and services.
• Ensure that purchased goods and services meet specified quality standards and requirements.

Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field. A Master's degree or professional certification is a plus.
• Minimum of 5+ years of experience in a procurement, purchasing, or supply chain role, preferably in (mention specific industry if applicable, e.g., manufacturing.
• Excellent working knowledge in both Arabic and English in terms of speaking and writing.
• Proficiency in procurement software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
• Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills (written and verbal).
• Strong organizational and time management abilities with attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Problem-solving aptitude.
• High level of integrity and ethical conduct.

• Source Non-Medical Supplies: Identify, evaluate, and procure non-medical goods and services that meet Taiba Hospital's standards.
• Supplier Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong partnerships with reliable non-medical suppliers to ensure consistent quality, availability, and service.
• Contract Compliance: Ensure all procurement activities strictly adhere to agreed terms, hospital policies, and HSE requirements
• Inventory Collaboration: Coordinate with inventory teams to maintain optimal stock levels for non-medical supplies.
