We are seeking a Senior Human Resources Officer to shape and maintain our people-centric culture, ensure compliance with labor laws, and support our retail and HQ operations across the GCC. Responsibilities- Lead full-cycle HR functions including recruitment, onboarding, training, employee relations, performance management, and compliance.
- Act as a cultural ambassador, ensuring Velvet Desert’s identity is reflected in every aspect of the employee experience while supporting growth and expansion.
- Talent Acquisition & Onboarding — Oversee sourcing, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding across HQ and retail teams.
- Training & Development — Design and deliver programs tailored to retail and e-commerce operations.
- Compliance & Audit Readiness — Ensure HR documentation complies with GCC labor laws and is audit-ready.
- Employee Relations & Policy Enforcement — Mediate conflicts, ensure fair practices, and maintain up-to-date handbooks and contracts.
- Workforce Planning & Market Expansion — Collaborate with Area Managers, Operations, and Finance to align staffing and support new market entries.
- Data & Insights — Analyze turnover, satisfaction, and absenteeism to provide actionable insights.
- Internal Communication & Engagement — Lead organizational updates, engagement initiatives, and employee events.
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field (HR certification preferred).
- 4-5 years of HR management experience, ideally in retail, fashion, or lifestyle sectors.
- Strong understanding of GCC labor laws and multicultural workforce dynamics.
- Fluent in English; Arabic is a strong advantage.
- Proven ability to build trust, resolve conflicts, and align HR initiatives with business goals.
