We are hiring Sales Operations Analysts to join a team of experts who help Canonical sales teams achieve their business goals. The Sales Operations team drives continuous process and data quality improvement to ensure orders are processed correctly. The successful candidate will be a leader who shows initiative in improving the way the team works, maintaining compliance and associated governance.

The success of the role is measured against increasing the velocity of deals and the quality of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) data used to drive key business decisions. The ideal candidate will be a proactive problem solver and team player who is passionate about the opportunity to partner with sales leadership, is also passionate about our role in the technology industry bringing open source to a wider audience of innovators and enterprises, and will design and drive programs in support of Canonical's continued success.

Location: These roles will be based remotely in the EMEA and Americas regions.

The role entails

  • Support all aspects of the day-to-day operations of the sales function globally
  • Review opportunities for accuracy and provision orders on successful closure of a deal
  • Support the Sales Operations Manager to improve sales data quality and processes
  • Report on data quality metrics to executive level stakeholders
  • Implement surveys and define metrics for executive level stakeholders
  • Support the sales team globally on CRM and other sales operations systems
  • Deliver sales metrics, dashboards and other ad-hoc analytical tasks
  • Lead automation and streamline the Lead to Order process

What we are looking for in you

  • An exceptional academic track record from high school and university
  • Experience in a sales operations/sales order processing role
  • Experience in a technology subscription-based business
  • Experience driving data quality improvement
  • Energetic, thoughtful, systematic approach, focused on robust, repeatable and scalable outcomes
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to work productively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization on a global scale
  • Ability to manage across boundaries and communicate effectively, particularly working with Sales, Legal, Finance and Marketing teams
  • Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM
  • Ability to travel internationally twice a year, for company events up to two weeks long

Responsibilities

Develop business requirements into user stories, epics and business requirement documentation as required Perform the UAT cycle E2D for projects from planning to implementation phase and CR management including creation and submission of requests and follow up on delivery for existing technology integrations Evaluate business processes, anticipate requirements, uncover areas for improvement and develop & implement solutions ensuring solutions meet business needs and requirements Conduct meetings and presentations to share ideas and findings Stay up-to-date on the latest process and IT advancements to automate and modernize systems Gather critical information from meetings with various stakeholders and produce useful reports Manage vendors and business stakeholders Review and analyze the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems and develop strategies for improving or further leveraging these systems Support with sprint planning in order to deliver approved backlog of change Engage with other business analysts and developers across other functional domains (e.g. Supply Chain) to ensure knowledge sharing Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Business Management or any related discipline Certification in Scrum / Agile is a must (i.e. Scrum Alliance or Scrum.org or ICAgile) CBAP Certified Experience 3-5 years’ experience working as a business analyst in the banking sector Project management experience is preferable Facilitating & running workshops (business & IT facing) Capturing and documenting business requirements Experience

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled IT Business Analyst – Supply Chain to drive digital transformation initiatives across our supply chain operations. You will serve as a key liaison between business stakeholders and IT, ensuring that supply chain processes (procurement, planning, inventory, logistics, warehouse management, etc.) are supported by robust, scalable, and user-centric systems.

Key Responsibilities:

Requirements Gathering & Analysis

  • Collaborate with supply chain, procurement, logistics, and warehouse teams to gather and document business and system requirements.
  • Analyze and map current supply chain processes to identify improvement opportunities and digitalization potential.

Solution Design & Implementation

  • Translate business needs into functional specifications, user stories, workflows, and use cases.
  • Support the design, testing, and deployment of ERP, WMS, TMS, and other supply chain applications.
  • Ensure system designs align with IT architecture standards and business strategy.

Project Delivery & Support

  • Act as IT workstream lead in cross-functional projects (ERP upgrades, system integrations, etc.).
  • Collaborate with developers, vendors, and implementation partners to ensure solutions meet defined requirements.
  • Support UAT planning, test case development, and user training.

Continuous Improvement

  • Monitor system performance, gather user feedback, and propose enhancements.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, technologies (e.g., SAP S/4HANA, Oracle SCM, Microsoft D365, Blue Yonder), and best practices.

Qualifications:

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • 4–7 years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in supply chain or logistics IT systems.
  • Proven experience with major ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft D365) and/or WMS/TMS platforms.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to understand complex supply chain workflows and translate them into system solutions.
  • Proficiency in business analysis tools (e.g., Visio, Lucidchart, JIRA, Confluence).
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Familiarity with Agile and/or Waterfall delivery methodologies.

Preferred:

  • Certification in Business Analysis (e.g., CBAP, PMI-PBA) or Agile/Scrum.
  • Knowledge of integration concepts (APIs, EDI, middleware).
  • Experience in supply chain analytics or automation (e.g., RPA, IoT, AI in logistics).
