The Counterintelligence Operational Support Team provides Counterintelligence (CI) analysis services that includes the fusing intelligence and collecting of raw data from multiple sources and varying classifications to identify threats, trends, structures, and locations of Foreign Intelligence Entities (FIE). This includes the dissemination of time-sensitive and non-time-sensitive Force Protection (FP) threat information and assessments to supported Commanders including six (6) Air Force Central (AFCENT) forward deployed units within the CENTCOM AOR and one (1) CONUS based unit.
**Responsibilities**:
- Collaborate in a multi-faceted team supporting DOD mission with foreign language translation assistance. The transcription, translation, and interpretation skills will be the primary function of this position.
- Conduct analysis using intelligence and information from publicly available open sources to assess, interpret, forecast, and explain a range of national security issues and developments that are regional or functional in nature.
- Provide open-source analytic support to collections, operations, investigations, and other defense intelligence analytic requirements. Analytical support may also include briefings on relevance of findings.
- Research and analyze foreign and domestic-based publicly available information and media outlets to identify trends, patterns, and relationships that provide unique insights to address defense intelligence requirements. Sources may include, but are not limited to news articles, magazines, newspapers, TV, radio, etc.). Translate open-source information.
- Conduct research and social network analysis on publicly available information in target language, producing threat reporting and/or advising on cultural themes or events.
- Assists with language and cultural reviews of Media Exploitation (MEDEX) efforts.
- Stay informed of issues and trending topics with the local community via social media and other publicly available sources.
- Provide and develop cultural awareness briefs, unit mission briefs, or other talking points and analytical products as determined by AFOSI field leadership.
- Transcribing. The contractor shall capture in writing, a transcript from a source language into a target language. Source material may be in the form of audio and/or media recordings, real
- time interactions/interviews, preexisting text, or other and/or other sources. The Contractor shall ensure the integrity, context, and intent of the source language is sustained in the written output; the written output shall be a literal translation.
- Translating. The contractor shall translate, in writing, original source information, including communicating an equivalent sentiment and meaning of the source information into the written output in order to fully convey the objective and meaning of the source information.
- Interpreting. The contractor shall provide accurate interpreting services for real-time interactions/interviews. Interpretations shall include use of accurate idiomatic translations, correct syntax and expressions from target language to English and vice versa and may require use of slang or colloquial words and phrases. The Contractor shall advise the Government through translation and interpretation that applies understanding of cultural and ethnic frameworks for both English and the target sources.
- Must be able to travel within the AOR 60% of the time, on average, and depending on location.

**Here’s What You’ll Need**:
- Must be a U.S. citizen.
- Must have Secret level Clearance at time of hire.
- Must have two (2) years’ experience with researching in the source language on foreign language websites.
- Must meet at a minimum the criteria of ILRT level 3 in all three modalities (reading, listening, and speaking). Language proficiency shall be determined via DLPT, ILRT, Oral Proficiency Instruction (OPI), or equivalent language testing. Arabic - Modern Standard/Gulf Dialect
- Must demonstrate ability to understand essentials of all speech in a standard dialect and have broad enough vocabulary that the need for paraphrasing or explanation is rare.
- Must have the ability to communicate complex issues clearly in a concise and organized manner both verbally and non-verbally, with strong grammar skills.
- Must be able to translate high level conversations in real-time using the consecutive interpreting style.
**Preferred**:
- Desired Experience: Native proficiency in Iraqi Arabic
- Previous experience as a military interpreter (e.g., Army MOS 09L).

As the IS Architect, you'll be in a unique position to improve Canonical products and the open-source technologies they're based on. You do this by leading System Reliability Engineers (SRE) and Data Center Engineers (DCE) to embrace best practices, and make informed decisions on technology choices in all aspects of cloud infrastructure and services. You will coach the IS team on automation, reliability, operational/technical scalability, network infrastructure and security.
This is a home based position, with twice-annual travel to company events totaling around 4 weeks per year.
Location: This role will be based remotely in the EMEA region
The role entails
- Define, get buy-in and implement the holistic vision of a world class internal cloud
- Setup, maintain and update the technical design roadmap and guidelines for the SREs within IS, with the aim of improving reliability, resilience, operational scalability, and technical scalability
- Collaborate with, and provide the cloud-ops software development teams with input for roadmap, requirements and prioritization to build a world-class, highly standardized and automated operation
- Provide the IS management with input and advice with regards to technology, reliability, resilience and business cases
- Lead technical choices to implement solutions as self-service products, ensuring scalable operation
- Collaborate with product security as well as operations security to set best practice and mitigate new threats in a timely manner
- Automate operations for reuse across the world's largest companies, taking into consideration the complexities of distributed systems
- Collaborate with development teams to design service architecture, documentation, playbooks, policies and operational procedures
- Analyze incidents and events, and establish what the reason behind the reasons are, and what structural improvements can be made to minimize the chance of them reoccurring
- Exceptional academic track record from both high school and university
- Undergraduate degree in a technical subject or a compelling narrative about your alternative chosen path
- Confidence to respectfully speak up, exchange feedback, and share ideas without hesitation
- Track record of going above-and-beyond expectations to achieve outstanding results
- Extensive knowledge of cloud computing concepts, technologies & operation
- Practical knowledge of Linux networking, routing, and firewalls, internet transit and large scale/bandwidth networking.
- Experience dealing with significant production outages, incident response and postmortems
- A passion for writing, sharing, and maintaining enterprise open-source software solutions
- Able to communicate clearly and effectively in English over email, chat, video or voice calls and in-person
- Be familiarized and passionate about open-source, especially Ubuntu or Debian
- Modern software engineering background (peer-review, unit testing, SCM, CI/CD, Agile)
- Hands-on experience of automatic administration of enterprise Linux servers at scale

The Information Systems (IS) team is responsible for all IT operations at Canonical, including the infrastructure for building, packaging and distributing Ubuntu globally. The Opportunity
The C3TO Contract provides multi-faceted Intelligence Support services consisting of, but not limited to: Open Source Intelligence (OSINT), All-Source Intelligence Analysis, Human Intelligence (HUMINT) Analysis, Intelligence Requirements Collection Management (RCM), Special Advisors, Planners, Targeting Support, Counterintelligence (CI) Support, Screener Support, Strategic Debriefing Support, Foreign Government Information (FGI) Analysis, Exploitation (DOMEX and MEDEX), Target Focused Analysis and Neutralization (TFAN), Operational Intelligence Knowledge Management (KM), as well as other analytic and target related intelligence support services to assigned military units in support of the overall Intelligence Mission in support of CJTF-OIR staffs and organizations.
Responsibilities
- Play an intricate role in the development and analysis of potential CI threats, insider threats, and Green on Blue threats
- Directly support our HUMINT and CI operations under CJTF-OIR.
- Develop all-source association matrices on individuals identified in reporting.
- Construct link diagrams.
- Develop Priority Intelligence Requirements (PIR)/ Host Nation Information Requirements (HNIR)/IR analysis of reporting.
- Perform general intelligence analysis related to counter-terrorism, HUMINT, Iraq, Syria, Jordan and Southwest Asia regional issues, political/military analysis, and targeting as requested. Log new requirements into tracker.
- Active TS/SCI
- Education: Associate degree AND three years of intelligence analysis experience.
- Experience: At least four years analytical experience at the tactical/operational level within DoD or equivalent Government agencies and requires former MOS 35F, 350F, 18F, 35D, 34A, OR USMC – 0211 Counterintelligence/Human Intelligence (CI/HUMINT) Specialist, 0231 Intelligence Specialist, 0239 Intelligence Analyst OR U.S. Navy – Navy Intelligence Specialist OR USAF – 14NX Intelligence Officer, 1N0XX Operations Intelligence, 1N771 Human Intelligence Specialist, or 1N451A Intelligence Fusion Analyst OR other equivalent DoD Joint Service or other Service specialty codes.
- CI/HUMINT Analytical experience
- Experience in either CI/HUMINT, CT and political/military analysis CENTCOM in other AORs
