Senior level Systems Administrator responsible for systems administration tasks associated with the day-to-day technical operations of the customers Network Control Center.
This position is contingent upon successful contract award to V2X.

Responsibilities
Major Job Activities:
+ Provide administration, installation, operation, and maintenance on all USAFCENT-supported networks and support day-to-day technical operations of the network control center (NCC). This support includes working with USAFCENT NOSC to integrate the deployed locations' local networks into the USAFCENT Enterprise Network, supporting organizational client system technicians on local area network (LAN) and personal computer issues, and working with any other agency to provide the services required.
+ Engineer, install, and maintain network equipment to support new and emerging requirements.
+ Provide responsive services to include real-time network-level configuration control, network restoration, quality control and performance standards, status reporting, master station log (MSL), and other actions required by policies, responsibilities, and operational procedures IAW the SPIN-C.
+ Support all NOSC-deployed projects.
+ Maintain a help desk IAW the SPIN-C and local procedures. The help desk provides the focal point for all user issues and job tracking. Maintain, load, and administer the basic computer platform, software, firmware, and hardware. The help desk shall act as the first level of support for desktop and network issues. Any incident that cannot be resolved will be escalated to the NCC and then the NOSC. Tasks shall include:
+ Systems management, monitoring, and sustainment.
+ Hardware repair for PCs and peripheral equipment.
+ Assist base user population in software installation, maintenance, and sustainment.
+ Compliance with all associated guidance and directives in the SPIN-C.

Responsibilities:
Provides maintenance support, services, and oversight for all KLF TADSS.
- Responsible for maintaining a safe workplace and ensuring that Safety is the priority in the workplace.
- Complies with all Environmental Health & Safety and Quality Assurance requirements and goals. Provides information and materials to these divisions as necessary to ensure adequate and legal documentation. Responsibilities
Major Job Activities:
Provide cyber security management support in accordance with (IAW) AFI 17-130, Air Force Cyber Security Program Management, as defined in the individual Task Orders (TOs). Support coordination of all actions required by USAFCENT cyber security-related CTOs including, but not limited to, vulnerability scanning and patch compliance. USAFCENT Cyber Security oversees all vulnerability scans IAW SPIN-C. Cyber security tasks include:
+ Scanning: Annotate remediation and mitigation actions on the vulnerability scan reports and return responses to USAFCENT Cyber Security to meet CTO compliance standards.
+ Patching: Monitor and verify patch compliance using the approved technical solution (i.e., SCCM, Assured Compliance Assessment Solution Information Assurance Vulnerability Alert compliance dashboards to track patching progress IAW patch compliance CTO requirements). Subtasks include:
+ Coordinate appropriate actions to ensure site systems are receiving patches and identify any patch installation issues.
+ Coordinate with local administrators to troubleshoot and elevate patching issues to NOSC engineers in a timely manner in order to meet patch compliance timelines. If automated patches are unavailable, such as with PMO systems, coordinate with PMO offices for manual patching of these systems to meet compliance levels IAW the CTO and SPIN-C requirements.
+ Develop a POA&M when CTO compliance cannot be met by the compliance date.
+ Review System Logs: Review all system logs daily for indications of unauthorized activity. Suspicious or abnormal log information shall be noted, escalated, and safeguarded IAW the SPIN-C.
+ Report and Contain Viruses, Malicious, and Negligent Activities: report virus outbreaks or suspected malicious activity IAW SPIN-C directives and
+ Take appropriate action to contain a virus outbreak or suspected malicious activity immediately; this includes updating virus signatures and possibly isolation of the infected system(s). A Remedy trouble ticket shall be opened for all virus outbreaks or suspected malicious activity.
+ Report all negligent discharges of classified information (NDCI) or cross-domain violations (CDV) IAW SPIN-C directives and instructions. Take appropriate actions to contain and safeguard classified information from being further compromised. All NDCIs / CDVs and their respective reporting shall be classified to the same level as the information contained.
+ Attend and participate in required NOSC systems and cyber security meetings or teleconferences.
+ Security Information and Event Management (SIEM): Monitor internal and wireless (if site is equipped with wireless) SIEM systems and escalate any possible alerts to USAFCENT Cyber Security for investigation. Attempt to identify the source and severity of activity and work with USAFCENT Cyber Security to contain, eradicate, or block the malicious activity. Review all intrusion and SIEM system alerts, logs, and reports for false positives. Identify all activity detected by working with site systems and networks to document the activity that is causing the alerts. Work with site and USAFCENT Cyber Security leadership to acquire approval to filter out these alerts.
+ Air Wireless Detection: Monitor over-the-air wireless detection systems, if site is so equipped, for indications of malicious activity against wireless systems. Attempt to identify the source of activity and consult with USAFCENT Cyber Security and site leadership on courses of action.
+ Wireless Audits: Conduct wireless audits (war drives) IAW the SPIN-C to detect any unauthorized wireless devices connected to the site network. Consult with site leadership and USAFCENT Cyber Security to identify the device and assist in any investigations as directed by leadership.
+ Network Compliance: Review all site access control lists and validate that permitted activity is relevant to current systems / network architecture and approved through USAFCENT Cyber Security leadership. Audit all backup procedures IAW the SPIN-C to validate critical systems can be reconstituted after failure. Review all network account access request forms for accuracy prior to account creation. Be responsible for maintaining certifications as listed in the labor category. Certification will be included in the work center's continuity book.

Major Job Activities:
+ Perform engineering, installation, operations, and maintenance of different types of IP-based routers and switches, as directed in individual Task Orders (TOs).
+ Use USAFCENT-provided standard network devices for routing and switching. The contractor shall maintain standard USAFCENT-approved operating systems on these devices.
+ Configure Tier 2 routing and switching devices for optimal operations in accordance with (IAW) NOSC standards.
+ Engineer, install, and maintain network equipment to support new and emerging requirements.
+ Provide responsive services to include real-time network-level configuration control, network restoration, quality control and performance standards, status reporting, MSL, and other actions required by policies, responsibilities, and operational procedures IAW the SPIN-C, and support all NOSC-deployed projects.
+ Require network rights and privileges commensurate with roles and responsibilities as indicated in the TO.
+ Network Management, monitoring, and sustainment;
+ Maintain compliance with all associated guidance and directives in the SPIN-C;
+ Maintain compliance with guidance and directives issued in CTOs and NOTAMs;
+ Maintain compliance with all associated DoD, AF, USCENTCOM, USAFCENT, and local Instructions;
+ Report and track, utilizing Remedy, all local and enterprise issues associated with network and systems operations.
+ Use only standard USAFCENT-provided network management tools to monitor and sustain network operations.
+ Assist the Government in maintaining positive control over all hardware and software. Hardware accountability shall be maintained using the Standard Base Supply Systems (SBSS) and Asset Inventory Management (AIM) system. All equipment transferred between organizations shall be done IAW SBSS and Information Technology Asset Management policies and directives. When directed, assist Government personnel by packing and shipping equipment transferred between organizations.
+ Be responsible for encryption equipment used on the network. This includes control and safeguarding, configuration, and "user-level" maintenance of Ethernet and serial encryption devices.
+ Coordinate with the COMSEC manager to ensure approved encryption keys are available for encryption equipment used on the network.
+ Attend and participate in all scheduled NOSC-directed meetings and conferences.

Acts as the focal point for scheduling and day-to-day coordination of the Government VTC reservations. The Government operations center requires manning to support this service as well as unexpected VTC support during off-duty hours.

Responsibilities
Major Job Activities:
+ Install, operate, maintain, and manage VTC systems.
+ Maintain VTC bridge operational support 18 hours per day (0600-2400/seven days per week/365 days per year.
+ Act as the focal point for scheduling and day-to-day coordination of USAFCENT AOR-wide VTC reservations. The USAFCENT VTC operations center requires manning to support this service as well as unexpected VTC support during off-duty hours. Subtasks shall include:
+ Act as the USAFCENT focal point and liaison to DISA Global Video Services (GVS)
+ Assist customers with new requirements, provide suggestions within USAFCENT guidelines that meet their needs, and direct them to submit proper paperwork (AF Form 3215) to their local ECS/SCX personnel
+ Assist customers with direct or bridged connectivity to GVS services, if needed.
+ Develop and maintain professional working relationship with other bridging/hub locations, to include GVS, USCENTCOM, ARCENT.
+ Adhere to USAFCENT SPIN-C/CONOPS VTC policy and procedures in daily operations and when dealing with users within USAFCENT AOR.
+ During normal duty hours stated in the TO, be present in the VTC bridging facility 30 minutes prior to start time of the first bridged VTC connection of the day to bring up the call and be prepared for quality checks performed by the chairing location. During off hours (no operator present), ensure TMS will accommodate scheduled VTC sessions, as needed. If an O-6 or above will be hosting a bridged VTC during the off hours, an operator must be present for the duration of the bridged VTC session.
+ Oversee the overall operational, management, and health of VTC facilities and systems distributed throughout the AOR under USAFCENT control.
+ Interface directly with all AF site communication squadron commanders or appointed representatives and customers to provide feedback and identify corrective actions on local site equipment.
+ Report to USAFCENT VTC PMO on health of network architecture and provide input to potential obstacles to expansion of network.
+ Submit firewall exception request for new/changed circuits request and coordinate between NOSC and customer until issue is closed.
+ Provide outage log, number of VTCs, and other data required by USAFCENT VTC PMO.
+ Maintain a thorough knowledge, diagrams, and understanding of all VTC equipment implemented within the USAFCENT AOR.
+ Maintain current copy of VTC architecture diagrams.
+ Assist and train local facilitators, if requested, on VTC conference room set-up and operation. May assist by phone, if effective, but assist in person if an on-site visit is required. Local facilitators may require both operational assistance as well as technical assistance in troubleshooting malfunctioning VTC and associated equipment.

Job Summary: V2X GTS has a requirement for a Simulation Technician III in support of the Kuwait Land Forces (KLF) in Kuwait City, Kuwait. The Sim Tech-III provides maintenance support, services and TADSS oversight required under W-TRS TDL 026 and reports directly to the in-country V2X-GTS Program Manager. The successful candidate must be a United States citizen, with proof of citizenship and a current U.S. passport. Required Hours: Standard work week will be five (5) days per week for up to eight (8) hours per day while at OCONUS work site(s). Responsibilities: Provides maintenance support, services, and oversight for all KLF TADSS. Responsible for maintaining a safe workplace and ensuring that Safety is the priority in the workplace. Complies with all Environmental Health & Safety and Quality Assurance requirements and goals. Provides information and materials to these divisions as necessary to ensure adequate and legal documentation. Participates in and enforces all mandatory training requirements; implements provision for Government-wide programs such as Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards, personnel, and information security requirements. Diagnoses system failures, repair/replace components; and ensures system power up/power down procedures. Monitors maintenance and serviceability of all TADSS weapon simulations equipment and details maintenance requirements to include preventative maintenance and repair requirements. Records all maintenances actions manually and in the contract Management Information System (MAXIMO). Ensures that maintenance data capture is immediate at the time and place of maintenance actions to improve data accuracy and completeness in real-time. Safeguards and maintains property, materials, and facilities. Ensures that standards, specifications, practices, and quality for all products and services are maintained at the acceptable levels required in the contract. Ensures that Quality Control standards are observed and followed. Provides customer assistance and advice in a proficient and professional manner. Expert communication skills to facilitate and disseminate information to a diverse group of customers. Maintain TADSS in Fully Mission Capable (FMC) condition to meet the Contract Mission Time and CPF requirements in Appendix B for each device and location. Perform on-site maintenance IAW technical data; if technical data/checklist is not provided for any single item, maintenance IAW the best commercial standards. Maintain all the documentation (Operator & Maintainer Manual, Instructor/Operator (I/O) Manuals, Commercial Off- The-Shelf Manuals, Technical Data Package Schematics) spares and tools. Coordinate on-site maintenance with the local installations designated Foreign Government representative to deconflict training, exercise, and test schedules with maintenance activities and resolve problems on the devices or at the site. Perform on-site Preventative Maintenance to repair the systems in accordance with the operators manual scheduled maintenance. Log Work Orders into the Information System Tool Suite (ISTS) with all maintenance information, including current spares/parts in the country, and Repair and Return (R&R) items ensuring information is accurate and complete. Provide M-AGTS Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) and Generator systems annual services and document results IAW vendor/OEM manuals. g. Perform on-site, in-country Preventive Maintenance and Unit Level repair of MILES systems. Significant TADSS maintenance cost drivers reported and analyzed; corrective actions recommended (Recommendations are intended to be simple; if in-depth analysis or research is required the contractor shall notify the Government, who will consider whether a separate contract action is warranted). Other duties as directed by the V2X Program Manager. Required Qualifications: Demonstrated relevant experience (academic, work, or combination of both) managing the maintenance of TADSS for an Army Training Support Program with an understanding of the Army Training Support Enterprise objectives, Army TADSS program, AR 350-1 training requirements and AR 750-1 maintenance requirements. Extensive experience creating products employing MS Office, especially MS PowerPoint and MS Word. Other Requirements: Must have a valid driver’s license, able to obtain a US Government Motor Vehicle Operator’s License and Kuwait Driver’s License. Applicant may be required to travel and will be required to work in compliance with OSHA and V2X Safety policies and procedures.
