The Threat Intelligence Lead will own Canonical's threat intelligence strategy and execution, including understanding of which cyber threat actors are targeting Canonical, and the use of intelligence on Tactics, Techniques and Procedures (TTP) to better our products and internal cybersecurity controls. This role will report to the CISO.

You will lead intelligence gathering and development activities on threat actors targeting software supply chains. You'll study attack trends across the wider open source software landscape, report findings to internal security teams, and advise the wider engineering community on the best course of action to detect and mitigate possible threats.

As the publisher of Ubuntu, Canonical products are directly or indirectly present in almost every organisation and household in the world, making them a prime target for threat actors. This team's mission is to help Canonical, and by extension countless community members and companies around the world, secure their software infrastructure.

What you'll do in this role

  • Build and own Canonical's threat intelligence strategy
  • Build and maintain OSINT research environments
  • Develop OSINT tradecraft, principals, and techniques
  • Identify and track targeted intrusion cyber threats, trends, and new developments by cyber threat actors through analysis of proprietary and open source datasets
  • Collaborate across teams to inform on activity of interest
  • Coordinate adversary/campaign tracking
  • Contribute to the wider threat intelligence community, establishing Canonical as a key contributor and thought leader in the space
  • Work with product and engineering teams to explain cybersecurity threats and advise on mitigation strategies
  • Work with the OPSEC and IS team to help implement/update security controls prioritising cyber defence
  • Identify intelligence gaps and propose new tools and research projects to fill them
  • Conduct briefings for executives, internal stakeholders and external customers

The successful Threat Intelligence Lead will be

  • An experienced threat intelligence leader (or similar)
  • Knowledgeable about the current open source threat landscape and computer networking/infrastructure concepts
  • Highly competent with OSINT tools (e.g., Buscador, Trace Labs OSINT VM, OSINT Framework, Maltego, Shodan, social media scraping tools, etc.)
  • Able to identify, organise, catalogue, and track adversary tradecraft trends — often with incomplete data
  • Experienced using threat intelligence data to influence enterprise architecture or product development decisions
  • An excellent communicator with the ability to clearly articulate and tailor technical content to a variety of audiences
  • Able to travel twice a year, for company events up to two weeks long

Desired Characteristics

  • A professional portfolio of OSINT related scripts, tools, or frameworks
  • Demonstrated involvement in the larger OSINT community (please share relevant links)

• Organise the Developer Experience team to ensure all Merchant and Partner requirements are met for new integrations and live issues
• Identify and optimise processes for the team to increase efficiency
• Lead on the organisation of training for the team across technical, communication, project management and project organisation
• Lead on technical documentation for new products for external viewing by merchants and partners
• Attend technical inquiries from customers on Live Chat, Email & Telephone
• Troubleshoot technical issues via online meeting
• Analyse requirements of merchants and coordinate with their development team for product integration
• Provide gateway and feature functionality training as required to merchants and partners
• Provide technical product support and help resolve merchant account or gateway issues
• Coordinate between customer care, sales and technical team for product integrations
• Organise training sessions regarding developments in product
• Understanding the payment domain within the local, regional and global markets
• Scope projects, build business cases and assist with the integration of our products and other platforms

DFAC Shift Lead is responsible for monitoring other country national employees in the performance of food service operations and provide supply movement support for the rations warehouse. Support to include off-loading subsistence and supply items, removing delivered items from pallets and storing items per PWS requirements.
Responsibilities
Major Responsibilities:
+ Shall conduct food handling, storage, receiving and transferring of subsistence in strict accordance with the applicable Tri-Service Food Code and keep records of all food received and stored as required, verifying proper handling and storage procedures are used.
+ Responsible for escorting/monitoring other country national employees and vendors in accordance with the performance work statement for subsistence and dining facility services.
+ Responsible for communicating and upholding company standards, leading by example, working as a team to provide professional food services.
+ Shall operate up to a 2.5-ton reefer truck and up to 10k forklift.
+ Shall assist the Storeroom and DFAC Supervisors as required to operate food service services 24/7/365.
+ Comply with all applicable Government and corporate regulations, policies and procedures: AFI 34-239, Food Service Management Program, AFMAN 34-240, Food Service Program Management, and the Tri-Service Food Code.
+ Follow HACCP procedures.
+ Responsible for ensuring a safe, clean, sanitary, healthy, presentable, professional atmosphere, free of dust, clutter and trash in all working facilities, areas and grounds.
+ Responsible for proper utilization and safeguarding of all government and contractor provided property (e.g., to include government facilities, equipment and tools).
+ Responsible for precise execution of company time reporting procedures and accurate completion of timesheet.
+ Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
Education/Certifications: One-year related experience may be substituted for one year of education if degree is required.
+ Must have a High School diploma or equivalent
+ Must be certified to drive a 2.5-ton reefer truck and up to 10K forklift.
+ Must have and maintain a current Serve-Safe certification (Within 3 years).
+ Must have a current, valid U. S. Passport and U. S. or Local Driver's License.
+ Must have and maintain a valid U. S. SECRET or Interim Secret Security Clearance prior to deployment.
+ Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English fluently.
+ Must be able to pass employment and deployment qualification requirements that include psychological, medical, dental, drug testing, background checks, etc.
+ Candidates must successfully complete both online and hands on CBRN (chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear) defense training. Training includes the successful fit testing of DoD provided protective gear.
Experience:
+ A minimum of one (1) year of related work experience in food service warehousing and storage procedures of perishable and non-perishable subsistence and shall be familiar with manual and automated supply accounting systems, policies and procedures.
Skills :
+ Must be knowledgeable in Tri-Service Food Code, AFMAN 34-240, Food Service Program Management Armed Forces Recipe System, inventory control, HACCP, and the U.S Department of Health and Human Services Food Code standards.
+ Thorough understanding of quality customer food service and preparation of nutritional meals.
+ Must be able to work under pressure.
+ Service oriented.
