We are seeking a highly experienced

Cloud Architect

with

deep expertise in Amazon Web Services (AWS)

and a working knowledge of

Microsoft Azure

to lead the design, implementation, and optimization of our enterprise cloud architecture. This role will be instrumental in shaping the organization’s hybrid/multi-cloud strategy, ensuring high availability, cost efficiency, scalability, and compliance across all cloud-hosted workloads. Key Responsibilities Cloud Architecture & Design Lead the design of secure, scalable, and resilient cloud architectures on AWS. Provide architectural guidance for deploying cloud-native applications and migrating legacy systems to AWS. Recommend and implement best practices for hybrid cloud environments involving AWS and Azure. Governance, Security & Compliance Implement and enforce cloud governance frameworks, security policies, and compliance controls (e.g., CIS, NIST, ISO 27001, GDPR). Design multi-account structures, identity federation (IAM, SSO), and zero-trust network architecture. Collaborate with cybersecurity teams on data protection, encryption, and threat modeling. Automation & Optimization Lead infrastructure as code (IaC) initiatives using tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, and CI/CD pipelines. Monitor and optimize cloud costs, resource utilization, and performance KPIs. Implement DevSecOps practices to ensure continuous integration and deployment with security baked in. Collaboration & Leadership Act as a subject matter expert (SME) on AWS and Azure cloud solutions for internal teams and business stakeholders. Mentor DevOps and Infrastructure engineers; support skill development across teams. Evaluate and select third-party cloud tools, vendors, and services based on business requirements. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. Minimum

7+ years of experience

in IT infrastructure/cloud, with

5+ years hands-on in AWS . Strong experience designing enterprise architectures using AWS services (EC2, S3, VPC, RDS, Lambda, ECS/EKS, CloudWatch, etc.). Working knowledge of

Microsoft Azure

(VMs, VNets, Azure AD, Storage, etc.). Proficiency in

Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible , or similar IaC tools. Experience with container orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes, EKS, AKS). Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI, Jenkins, CodePipeline). Familiarity with enterprise networking, VPN, direct connect, DNS, and hybrid cloud connectivity. Preferred Certifications AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional

(Highly Preferred) Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert

(a plus) TOGAF or equivalent enterprise architecture frameworks (optional) Skills Soft Skills Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills. Ability to translate business needs into scalable, cost-effective cloud solutions. Comfortable managing cross-functional teams and stakeholders in matrixed environments.

We are experts in the whole open source stack, from kernel to desktop, from cloud to the edge. Our team is also interested in business problems - building things reliably, efficiently and cost-effectively, and we have to learn to speak the language of our customers and their industries.

We help global companies embrace public and private cloud infrastructure, cloud native operations, and open source applications. For this team we are looking for several Alliances Engineers to support OEM (hardware manufacturers), GSI (global system integrators), ISV (independent software vendors), Channel partners and Public Cloud alliance partners. You will support various alliances and partners of Canonical to adopt our products and technologies, help business leaders to define joint go-to-market programs with partners from the technical standpoint.

What your day will look like

  • Understand Ubuntu, Linux, networking and services in real-world environments
  • Architect cloud infrastructure solutions like Kubernetes, Kubeflow, OpenStack, Ceph, and Spark either On-Premises or in Public Cloud (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
  • Architect and integrate popular open source software such as PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Kafka, Cassandra and NGINX
  • Help partners to offer and architect joint solutions utilizing Canonical's technologies on top of the public clouds and in the data center
  • Design and publish joint Reference Architectures and perform technical validations with various partners
  • Prepare and run onboarding sessions/workshops with various partners' teams to promote Canonical products and solutions

**Job Summary.**

As a Drilling Solutions Engineer, you will be a key member of the engineering team which is responsible for delivering a range of class-leading innovative engineering designs and solutions. Acting with minimum guidance from the Engineering Manager, you are a highly competent individual with the ability to both lead and complete engineering tasks throughout all phases of a project lifecycle. A significant appreciation of the drilling process along with a strong awareness of drilling optimization, drill bit design, geology and data analyses are critical to this role. Experience in utilizing standard engineering calculations related to drill bit drilling operations will be of significant benefit to your success in this role. You will be keen to take on fresh challenges, develop your technical and interpersonal skills as well as expand your knowledge and experience and share them through a variety of exciting projects.

**DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- All tasks are carried out in accordance with Engineering group policies and quality procedures under the leadership of the Engineering Manager.
- Contribute to sales and marketing efforts to ensure products offered are in line with engineering group and company strategies
- Monitor drill bit tool performance. Identify drilling trends and implement optimization practices.
- Provide technical support both internally and externally to customers.
- Create and manage drill bit product development and testing strategies that contributes to market share growth
- Assist field testing and new technology commercialization
- Develop accurate and complete documentation of data and project results in a timely manner.
- Interact with personnel in other departments and disciplines.
- Consistently produce quality work and recommend areas where quality can be improved.
- Attend field runs and visit service shops to provide basic technical support for products.
