The required Network Engineer will be responsible for the deployment and maintenance of complex solutions utilizing Network technologies. The ideal candidate will have experience in complex network environments supporting fast-paced business operations, working with systems including Cisco and others. Demonstrated proficiency with advanced network concepts, VOIP commands, and related topics. Knowledge and experience with route/switch networking are required. Daily responsibilities will include resolving tickets escalated from Tier 1, deploying solutions designed by senior engineers, designing solutions and systems to meet business requirements, maintaining production and development systems, and other duties as assigned. A successful individual will be a motivated self-starter capable of operating independently, thrive in a team environment where communication is key, seek continuous improvement, and take personal pride in the success of the business. 5-year degree in a related field or equivalent technical experience Experience with Cisco switches, routers, and firewalls (FirePOWER) 5+ years of progressive experience in IT operations roles, including on-call responsibilities High level of interpersonal skills – effective and efficient communication Proficiency with Cisco IOS commands, router and switch setups, IOS backup, and recovery Sound knowledge of routing protocol configurations, standard and extended access list configurations, MPLS, VoIP, OSI model, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, TFTP, VRF, IPv4, and subnetting Familiarity with OSPF and EIGRP, IP addressing, subnet administration, and routing models Implementation experience with HSRP, DHCP, DNS, FTP, TFTP, and Syslog Experience implementing SNMP on various devices Excellent organizational skills and ability to provide status updates Knowledge of management software Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Strong documentation and communication skills Ability to learn and adapt quickly in a dynamic environment Confidence and self-motivation CCNP certification is required; CCIE is optional Must have a valid driving license

These changes are prompted by datacenter architecture scalability and composability challenges as well as ever growing performance requirements. In the process, the industry requires a reliable, open and easy to use operating system to host these functionalities and workloads. Linux is ideally positioned as a kernel, especially with real-time extensions, and as a platform for this ecosystem. Leveraging and complementing Ubuntu, Ubuntu Core, OpenStack, Kubernetes and Juju, Canonical is creating a line of products and services that address primary challenges such as security, device management and orchestration between the Smart NIC, its host, Top of the Rack switches and gateways. Job Summary

The Pre-Sales Engineer plays a crucial role in the sales cycle by providing technical expertise and consultation on storage, hardware infrastructure, networking, and security solutions. This role involves working closely with customers, understanding their requirements, and designing tailored enterprise solutions that align with business needs. The engineer collaborates with sales teams, vendors, and partners to ensure that proposed solutions are viable, scalable, and secure.

Key Responsibilities

• Technical Consultation & Solution Design:
• Work with customers to gather technical requirements for storage, hardware, networking, and security solutions.
• Design and propose infrastructure solutions, including storage systems, servers, network architecture, and security frameworks.
• Assist in preparing detailed technical proposals, BOMs (Bill of Materials), solution architecture, and sizing.
• Ensure compatibility between various hardware, networking, and security components to create an optimal IT infrastructure.
• Work with vendors and distributors to provide the best pricing and support for solutions.
• Pre-Sales Activities & Customer Engagement:
• Conduct technical presentations, product demonstrations, and Proof-of-Concepts (PoCs) to showcase proposed solutions.
• Act as a trusted advisor, addressing customer concerns and providing insights into storage, hardware, and cybersecurity best practices.
• Assist in responding to RFIs, RFPs, and tenders, ensuring that proposed solutions meet compliance and technical standards.
• Work with the sales team to position solutions effectively and develop competitive strategies.
• Collaboration with Sales, Product, and Technical Teams:
• Work alongside sales representatives to support deal closure and technical discussions.
• Stay updated on the latest trends in data storage, enterprise hardware, networking, cybersecurity, and cloud infrastructure.
• Collaborate with technology partners such as NetApp, Dell EMC, HPE, Cisco, Palo Alto, Fortinet, Pure Storage, and Commvault.
• Identify cross-selling and up-selling opportunities based on customer infrastructure needs.
• Technical Documentation & Training:
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, white papers, and solution briefs.
• Provide training to customers and internal sales teams on new technologies and best practices in storage, networking, and security.
• Post-Sales Support & Handover:
• Work with deployment and support teams to ensure smooth project implementation.
• Assist in troubleshooting customer concerns and provide Level 1 or Level 2 technical support when necessary.
• Conduct post-sales reviews to ensure customer satisfaction and explore future expansion opportunities.
  
  

Technical Skills

Required Qualifications & Skills:

• Storage Solutions: Understanding of SAN, NAS, DAS, RAID, Object Storage, Backup & Recovery, and Hyper-Converged Infrastructure (HCI).
• Enterprise Hardware: Experience with servers, storage arrays, high-performance computing, and virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V, Nutanix, etc.).
• Networking Technologies: Strong knowledge of network switching, routing, SDN, VLANs, VPNs, and data center network design.
• Security Frameworks: Familiarity with firewalls, Zero Trust, IAM, SIEM, encryption, endpoint security, and compliance requirements.
• Cloud & Hybrid Solutions: Understanding of AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, and hybrid cloud storage architectures.
• Automation & Scripting (Preferred): Knowledge of Ansible, Python, or PowerShell for automating infrastructure management.
  
  

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Telecommunications, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in a pre-sales, technical consulting, or solutions engineering role. Local KSA market experience will be considered as plus
  
  

Industry Certifications (Preferred)

• Storage: NetApp NCDA, Dell EMC Storage, HPE Storage, Pure Storage, Commvault.
• Networking: CCNA, CCNP, JNCIA, NSE (Fortinet).
• Security: CISSP, CISM, CEH, Palo Alto PCNSA.

Job Summary

The Pre-Sales Engineer plays a crucial role in the sales cycle by providing technical expertise and consultation on storage, hardware infrastructure, networking, and security solutions. This role involves working closely with customers, understanding their requirements, and designing tailored enterprise solutions that align with business needs. The engineer collaborates with sales teams, vendors, and partners to ensure that proposed solutions are viable, scalable, and secure.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Consultation & Solution Design: Work with customers to gather technical requirements for storage, hardware, networking, and security solutions. Design and propose infrastructure solutions, including storage systems, servers, network architecture, and security frameworks. Assist in preparing detailed technical proposals, BOMs (Bill of Materials), solution architecture, and sizing. Ensure compatibility between various hardware, networking, and security components to create an optimal IT infrastructure. Work with vendors and distributors to provide the best pricing and support for solutions. Pre-Sales Activities & Customer Engagement: Conduct technical presentations, product demonstrations, and Proof-of-Concepts (PoCs) to showcase proposed solutions. Act as a trusted advisor, addressing customer concerns and providing insights into storage, hardware, and cybersecurity best practices. Assist in responding to RFIs, RFPs, and tenders, ensuring that proposed solutions meet compliance and technical standards. Work with the sales team to position solutions effectively and develop competitive strategies. Collaboration with Sales, Product, and Technical Teams: Work alongside sales representatives to support deal closure and technical discussions. Stay updated on the latest trends in data storage, enterprise hardware, networking, cybersecurity, and cloud infrastructure. Collaborate with technology partners such as NetApp, Dell EMC, HPE, Cisco, Palo Alto, Fortinet, Pure Storage, and Commvault. Identify cross-selling and up-selling opportunities based on customer infrastructure needs. Technical Documentation & Training: Develop and maintain technical documentation, white papers, and solution briefs. Provide training to customers and internal sales teams on new technologies and best practices in storage, networking, and security. Post-Sales Support & Handover: Work with deployment and support teams to ensure smooth project implementation. Assist in troubleshooting customer concerns and provide Level 1 or Level 2 technical support when necessary. Conduct post-sales reviews to ensure customer satisfaction and explore future expansion opportunities.

Technical Skills

Required Qualifications & Skills:

Storage Solutions: Understanding of SAN, NAS, DAS, RAID, Object Storage, Backup & Recovery, and Hyper-Converged Infrastructure (HCI). Enterprise Hardware: Experience with servers, storage arrays, high-performance computing, and virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V, Nutanix, etc.). Networking Technologies: Strong knowledge of network switching, routing, SDN, VLANs, VPNs, and data center network design. Security Frameworks: Familiarity with firewalls, Zero Trust, IAM, SIEM, encryption, endpoint security, and compliance requirements. Cloud & Hybrid Solutions: Understanding of AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, and hybrid cloud storage architectures. Automation & Scripting (Preferred): Knowledge of Ansible, Python, or PowerShell for automating infrastructure management.

Education & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Telecommunications, or a related field. 3+ years of experience in a pre-sales, technical consulting, or solutions engineering role. Local KSA market experience will be considered as plus

Industry Certifications (Preferred)

Storage: NetApp NCDA, Dell EMC Storage, HPE Storage, Pure Storage, Commvault. Networking: CCNA, CCNP, JNCIA, NSE (Fortinet). Security: CISSP, CISM, CEH, Palo Alto PCNSA.

Soft Skills

Strong communication and presentation skills. Ability to understand business needs and translate them into technical solutions. Problem-solving and analytical thinking. Ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines. Customer-focused consultative approach.

Additional Information

Travel may be required for client meetings, PoCs, and technical workshops. Remote and hybrid work options may be available depending on company policy.

Senior Network Engineer

Location: Salmiya, Kuwait

Job Purpose / Role

• Candidate should possess hands-on experience with Cisco ACI and Transmission data center interconnect.
• Responsible for supporting, implementing, troubleshooting, maintaining, and documenting network operations and activities.
• Participate actively in daily network operations, capacity management, and resilience.
• Adopt industry best practices and technologies for enterprise network environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and develop network and infrastructure services supporting business requirements.
• Ensure security and optimal performance of network and infrastructure services.
• Configure, maintain, and support network solutions in offices, data centers, and external projects.
• Configure and maintain network equipment such as switches, routers, firewalls, and load balancers.

Eligibility Criteria:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field.

Certifications:

• CCIE R&S / Data Center / Service Provider
• CCNP Security
• Certified Advanced Networking for Cloud

Minimum Experience:

• 15+ years in IT networks within capital markets, banking, or financial institutions, preferably within an exchange.
• At least 2 years experience with Cisco ACI.
• Experience with transmission systems like Adva, Alcatel, Lucent, Ciena.

Skills

• Knowledge of DWDM, CWDM, link power budgeting, multiplexing services over Muxponders.
• Understanding of ACI architectures and components, Nexus DC technologies, infrastructure as code, and automation tools.
• Strong knowledge of switching and routing protocols and technologies.
• Hands-on experience with Cisco enterprise/data center switches, routers, firewalls, and virtualization platforms.
• Knowledge of data center architecture, scripting languages, cloud/virtualization technologies, and security principles.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work under pressure.
