Job Description Description EPortal is actively recruiting for the role of Specialized Engineer - Infrastructure. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the infrastructure that supports our company's technology systems. This position requires an experienced engineer who can work collaboratively with other departments, team members, and stakeholders to support the organization's growth and innovation. Roles and Responsibilities: Your roles and responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, the following: Design, implement, and maintain technology infrastructure, including servers, storage, network and security systems. Collaborate with other departments and teams to identify and implement infrastructure improvements to support business needs. Monitor system performance, troubleshoot and resolve issues as they arise. Conduct regular security audits and implement measures to ensure data privacy and protection, as well as participate in disaster recovery and business continuity planning and testing. Train and support other team members in infrastructure related tasks. Stay up-to-date on new technologies and industry trends and recommend improvements to the infrastructure as needed. Qualifications To apply, you must meet the minimum requirements below: A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. A minimum of 4 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the following industries: ICT, technology, and/or telecoms. Strong knowledge of servers, storage, network, and security systems. Experience with cloud-based infrastructure technologies is a plus. Knowledge of industry standards and regulations for technology infrastructure operations. Fluent in English (spoken and written). Arabic fluency is an advantage.

We are hiring a UX Designer for Infrastructure to work with the exceptional engineering teams at Canonical, creating open-source tools that are used to build clouds and manage clusters of compute globally.

Our design team is on a mission to turn complex, open-source software into efficient, intuitive products that can change how complex systems are built and what open source is capable of for enterprise IT. We are looking for a talented and technically oriented user experience designer, who shares our ambitions.

This role sits in the design team reporting to the Infrastructure design manager.

The role entails

Building tools that enable everyone to build their own cloud experiences (MAAS, LXD, MicroCloud and Canonical k8s) Collaborating with product managers and engineers to shape the future of the Data Center: Self-sovereign Clouds Supporting deeply complex products with the process of design and UX heuristics Working to evolve and evangelise design systems that drive consistency and efficiency Understanding the broader scope of your work and its numerous interconnected constraints Supporting one of our working groups to enable Canonical design's horizontal efforts

Senior Accountant - Projects Commercials

1. Maintain and update all accounts records accurately and in a timely manner, ensuring that detailed allocation to cost center, department, division/project, etc., is done correctly;

2. Get daily updates of the projects from various project managers & project teams and encode the details in the project management module;

3. Update all commercial milestones in the project management module for all new contracts and any changes in existing contracts;

4. Follow up with the project team on outstanding commercial information in a timely manner;

5. Update all UPL in the project management module;

6. Provide the MIS on all pending milestones and commercials to project Managers, Finance Head, and GM, and follow up on the pending items with the project team;

7. Raise invoices to customers and track the progress through the project management module;

8. Create weekly MIS on all commercial outstanding items and follow the progress with the various project accounts and operation teams;

9. Enter/supervise all project progress entries in the project management module and update the records in consultation with the project managers to arrive at the monthly revenue for MIS purposes.

10. Coordinate with the IT department on requirements and any present issues related to the project management module and the MIS needed to generate.

Minimum Requirements:
1. Minimum should be a commerce graduate; Inter CA will be an added value.
2. Must have knowledge in accounting/ERP software and should have good computer knowledge and expertise in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
3. Should have a minimum of 5 years of work experience in the accounts field, with a minimum of 2 years experience in a similar position in a medium or large organization with a telecom/contracting company background.

We are hiring an Engineering Manager to shape the Future of Open-Source Development with Launchpad Are you an experienced engineering leader passionate about open-source software, Linux, and web services? As an engineering manager, you will play a pivotal role in guiding the team, fostering technical excellence, and shaping the strategic direction of Launchpad's continued success.

This is a remote role based in the EMEA region. Candidates will be expected to be located within this region.

Our mission is to build a next-generation private cloud infrastructure, combining KVM, Ceph, and SDN technologies to create a data center scale cloud that 'just works' and provides a mission-critical cloud for edge and core enterprise deployments. We're hiring engineering managers with experience in high-quality microservice architectures and high-performance team leadership who also have deep familiarity with Linux kernel, virtualisation, storage and networking.

LXD components span the entire software stack from low-level kernel features to the upper level management API/CLI. Our most effective engineers are fluent in all these layers, and able to anticipate the consequences of design and engineering choices elsewhere in a complex distributed system.

As an engineering manager at Canonical you must have a solid technical background, but your responsibility is to run an effective team and develop the colleagues you manage. You are expected to help them grow as engineers, do important work, do it outstandingly well, find professional and personal satisfaction, and work well with colleagues and the community. Technical leadership experience and a background in software engineering are necessary prerequisites for this role. You will be expected to lead, challenge, and develop engineers, positively influence the culture, facilitate technical delivery, and work with your team on strategy and execution.

The successful candidate will have experience leading successful, collaborative engineering teams, and demonstrate the ability to solve challenging distributed systems problems and deep knowledge of Linux.

: This is a remote position available in EMEA and the Americas.

What you will focus on

Lead a team of remote engineers Develop talent through coaching, mentoring, feedback and hands-on career development Set and manage expectations with other engineering teams, senior management, and external stakeholders Advocate and advance modern software development practices Participate in the engineering process through code and architectural review Engage with teams at Canonical, the open source community and partners Work from home with global travel for 4 to 6 weeks per year for internal and external events

What we are looking for in you

You understand modern Linux cloud computing technologies, including networking, storage, containers and K8s You love developing and growing people and have a strong track record of doing it You are focused on success and the delivery of timely, high quality software You have a Bachelor's or equivalent in Computer Science, STEM or similar degree You have strong written and verbal technical communication skills You have experience programming in C and/or Go.
