Job Role

AIU is seeking a creative Graphic Designer capable of transforming ideas into impactful visuals. From concept to completion, you will lead diverse design projects, collaborate across departments, and ensure every piece aligns with AIU’s high standards and brand identity.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create original artworks and define project visual direction.
• Develop and conceptualize designs and animations using illustrations, infographics, image manipulation, and graphical compositions.
• Retouch and enhance digital assets from photo and video shoots.
• Develop logos, brand visual identities, and guidelines.
• Ensure final graphics and layouts are visually appealing and ready for production.
• Prepare final design files for printing materials such as books, brochures, catalogs, ads, reports, and outdoor displays.
• Coordinate graphics, manage photographic libraries, and maintain digital records.

Qualifications:

4. A strong, diverse portfolio showcasing print and digital design projects is required.

Our client is a leading Engineering & property development firm in Kuwait, developing private residential, leisure, and commercial development projects. They now seek an Interior Designer for their Interior Fit Outs Division to work within the firm’s design team for major fit out projects specifically in the field of luxury villas, commercial buildings, and hotels. These projects comprise luxury hotel, commercial, and residential projects that require high-end, high-quality interiors and finishes.

The responsibilities of this role comprise:

1. Coordinate with Design Director and Senior/Project Designer following initial client briefing to interpret Design Brief and establish Mood boards.
2. Working alongside Design Director to develop programming schedule/s.
3. Production of full presentation boards and finishes for client presentation.
4. To maintain the Library in the approved RIBA Format established.
5. To continually upgrade the library with new up-to-date information and update schedules of suppliers and manufacturers and maintain this database.
6. To prepare Sample boards in conjunction with the design team.
7. Assist the Design Director/Project Designer in preparation of the initial presentations and subsequent design development presentations.
8. Working closely with the Project Designer in support of information required at Design Review meetings.
9. Creating full preliminary line item budgets and finishes schedules for all areas for submission to the client.
10. Production with the project designer full finishes, ironmongery, and sanitary ware schedules.
11. Inspection, pre-qualification, and approval of manufacturers and suppliers.
12. To assist the Commercial Department with the procurement process and be a link between design and procurement.
13. Close liaison with the appointed Fit-out contractor to ensure the project is coordinated with relevant information and the Contractors information.

The attributes we seek include the following:

1. Degree qualification and at least 3 years’ experience in interior design with Concept Design Experience for luxury hotels.
2. Experience of using 3D Max application.
3. Experience in “Computer Generated Image” (CGI) & Video animation.
4. Experience in the Hospitality design sector and have worked with leading hotel design consultancies.
5. Detailed knowledge of suppliers, manufacturers, and products available in the world marketplace.
6. Strong involvement in overall design concept and successful in reading what design goals a client requires from initial briefing.
7. Ability to develop good relationships with clients, design team, suppliers, and manufacturers.
8. Good understanding of operational requirements, which has been gained through exposure to many hotel operators.
9. Ability to work on several projects concurrently.
10. Ability to work well in a team.
