Job Location: Camp Arifjan, Kuwait
Responsibilities- Trace Systems is seeking an experienced Field Service Representative (FSR) to support training, platform installation, operational field support, and network management for forward-deployed operations in the CENTCOM region. The primary location is Arifjan, Kuwait, with frequent travel throughout Iraq and Syria, and potential TDY assignments to Europe, Asia, and South America. The role requires the ability to operate in deployed environments, troubleshoot service issues, perform maintenance, and install, configure, and test VSAT and terrestrial Internet cafe services.
- Support the MWR Internet Connect Program, providing deployed US service members and support staff contractors with Internet access at deployed locations. Act as the customer’s first contact with the MWR Internet Connect Program, providing feedback on system performance and operational value.
- Install, configure, and test VSAT and LAN/WAN equipment; perform testing, inventory, and preparation of VSAT and baseband equipment for installation according to government specifications.
- Fabricate and assemble cabling for VSAT and LAN devices in accordance with established standards and government specifications.
- Coordinate introduction of Internet cafe technologies with operational commands and agencies and their supporting organizations.
- Facilitate distribution, deployment, installation, training, and preventive maintenance of Internet cafe equipment in each operational theater, working with DISA and other commands as necessary.
- Be on call to provide 24x7 onsite support to operational forces; work 72 hours per week as required.
- Develop formal practices and procedures for the operational fielding of Internet cafe technologies.
- Travel to support mission approximately 50% of the time; live and operate in austere contingency environments; travel regionally, including to small FOBs and bases across the CENTCOM AOR.
- Physical demands include carrying up to 50 pounds, working outdoors in temperatures over 100°F, bending, kneeling, crawling to route cables, and working on ladders or multi-story buildings to install antennas.
- Active, in-scope Secret clearance (US Government requirement).
- U.S. Citizenship is required.
- Experience with ISP/OSP cabling, VSAT, Cisco routing and firewall technology, IP fundamentals, and desktop & peripheral technologies.
- Good health and ability to successfully complete medical examinations as dictated by the U.S. Army (CRC).
- Working understanding of Army/ Marine Corps logistic forms policy and procedures or ability to understand basic military concepts.
- Current United States Passport valid through at least 2027.
- Valid United States Driver’s License in good standing.
- Ability to obtain a valid FBI background check to obtain Kuwait residency visa.
- Military signal or telecommunications background.
- Experience with remote VSAT communications systems.
- Experience with basic networking and network protocols.
- Understanding of military organizations and Infantry/Combined Arms operations.
- Prior military instructor experience.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.
- Prior experience working overseas is a plus.
- Minimum of 4 years working with applicable technologies.
- Knowledge of the visa process for in-theater locations such as Iraq, UAE, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, or Kuwait.

You will report directly to our Field Service Engineer Manager, and you'll work out of our Kuwait location as a site support engineer.
Responsibilities
- To ensure efficient delivery of installation, testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenance services for Honeywell Fire Alarm and Gas Detection Systems at client sites, in line with Honeywell’s standards, local regulations, and project specifications. Troubleshoot system faults, alarms, and perform root cause analysis to restore normal operation. Replace faulty devices and reconfigure panels as needed.
- Documentation & Reporting: Prepare commissioning reports, cause & corrective action reports, test forms, and as-built drawings. Maintain accurate records of service calls, spare part replacements, and system configurations.

- Review and interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and BOQ to ensure compliance. Willingness to travel to project sites and work for site surveys and data collection. Maintain service records, test reports, and prepare detailed documentation post-intervention for future projects and estimation support
- Degree in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, or related field.
- Sound knowledge of NFPA, local fire codes, and standards.
- Hands-on experience in addressable and conventional fire alarm panels, flame and gas detectors, and system integration. Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills. Good communication and client-handling skills.

Verify all field devices (smoke/heat detectors, MCPs, sounders, gas sensors) for correct installation and functionality. Integrate Honeywell systems with third-party systems via Modbus/BACnet as per design. Review and interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and BOQ to ensure compliance. Willingness to travel to project sites and work for site surveys and data collection. Maintain service records, test reports, and prepare detailed documentation post-intervention for future projects and estimation support
Qualifications
Degree in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, or related field. Sound knowledge of NFPA, local fire codes, and standards. Hands-on experience in addressable and conventional fire alarm panels, flame and gas detectors, and system integration. Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills. Good communication and client-handling skills. 8–12 years of experience with Fire Alarm, Gas Suppression System and Gas Detection Systems (preferably Honeywell Systems Experience on XLS-3000, XLS-140, XNX & XCD gas detectors and Safety Manager). Hands-on experience with Honeywell XLS3000, XLS-140-2, Verifire Tools and Safety Manager tools. Sound knowledge of NFPA, local fire codes, and standards. Engineer (Project environment) with commissioning and SAT experience

The Field Service Technician will perform maintenance, training, and work
closely with military customers. This position desires an individual who has experience performing mechanical and electronics, on
both the radiation and Backscatter technology systems as well as skills performing installs, de-installs, testing systems and
components, and performing Preventive Maintenance actions on a variety of systems belonging to the Non-Intrusive Inspection
and or other technicians. OCONUS travel will be required to other OCONUS locations.

THE CHALLENGE WHAT SETS YOU APART:
- Must be capable of performing analyses of system operations
- Must have knowledge of and experience in the operations of hardware systems and components
- Must have experience in fault detection, isolation, and correction of hardware systems and individual components

- Ability to perform minor maintenance on vehicles and generators such as changing oil and filter
- Must have the ability to generate/produce data and reports

- Must be able to withstand physical demands of seasonal hot or cold temperatures and willing to live and operate in an austere
environment
- Must be willing to support up to an 84-hour Extended Work Week

WHAT SETS YOU APART:

Field Service Representative (FSR) required to interface with client at a level from the BCT and below, typically Combat Arms Battalions (CABs) in order to represent the Abrams team in multiple functional areas. Interface may require coordination with AFSB units in Kuwait and inspection of COSIS based tanks currently in APS fleets. Subject Matter Expert (SME) to our client over a myriad of subjects, requiring continuing engagement with the customer, FSRs and the Abrams product team on Abrams vehicle maintenance, troubleshooting and diagnostics on the hull, turret and armament sub-systems. Act as the primary contact for the customer at multiple locations in Kuwait. Identify and advise Army Leaders regarding problems within Abrams technical areas and maintenance management as required, generate and submit field problem reports (FPRs) and cost savings as required, generate reports as required. Represent General Dynamic Land Systems in a sole contributor environment, where it is critical in assisting the command build and sustain combat power in a strategic reserve scenario.
Position Requirements- Must be a Certified Abrams FSR; preferred to have a minimum of 6-9 years of maintenance and troubleshooting experience on Abrams M1 through M1A2 SEP tanks to include DSESTS and logistical experience.
- Must have a valid US Passport
- Must have FSR Certification from Abrams Center of Excellence
- High school diploma or equivalent, prefer an Associate degree.
- Must be a US person.
- Previous experience in overseas assignments preferred.
- Able to gain access to U.S. or foreign military bases or facilities.
- Must successfully pass a deployment physical that meets OCONUS assignment requirements.
- Able to secure and maintain a NACI.
- Must be available and willing to travel globally for extended periods of time to support customer requirements.

- Must have a valid State Driver's License and be able to obtain a military license and meet the anthropometric requirements to entry into a driver’s station or into an enclosed military vehicle.

- Physical requirements: Must pass and maintain company deployment requirements.

- Able to work at autonomous sites directly for USG personnel.
