Join Weatherford as a Repair and Maintenance Technician IV – Completions. The role performs hands-on inspection, repair, refurbishment, and maintenance of oilfield tools and equipment, ensuring they are ready for deployment. Work covers the full cycle—from receiving and dismantling tools to reassembly, testing, and documentation—using technical manuals and procedures.
Responsibilities- Disassemble, inspect, clean, repair, and reassemble tools and equipment.
- Use tools, lifting equipment, and machinery according to certifications.
- Handle incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring accurate documentation.
- Maintain workshop cleanliness and safe working conditions.
- Use work orders, checklists, and documentation systems (e.g., WO labor log, PFTs, AIRTs).
- Troubleshoot and implement corrective actions.
- Support continuous efficiency improvement programs and LEAN initiatives.
- Senior roles may lead workshop operations, assign tasks, and conduct inspections.
- Required:
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience, preferably with Completions
- Open to any degree or educational background
- Basic computer proficiency
- Preferred:
- Technical degree preferred
- Additional qualifications:
- Workshop experience working with Completions tools and equipment (Packers, Safety Valves etc.)
- Strong technical aptitude in equipment maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting
- Proficient in quality control analysis and use of precision measurement tools
- Familiarity with hazardous materials, NDT/NDE, ATEX principles
- Effective communication, time management, and problem-solving skills
- Physically capable of meeting the job’s demands
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong leadership skills for senior-level responsibilities
