As Health & Safety Specialist you will be responsible for ensuring that safety rules and regulations are in place and complied by the concerned according to the DSV standards and specifications
Responsibilities:
- Acts as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) to the operations team in case of Hazmat storage and instructs on material handling methods and precautionary measures in case of spillage
- Ensures all equipment’s and plants on site are monitored and regularly inspected to meet the accepted statutory and safety standards requirement and maintained in good condition.
- Gathers data from all Warehousing facilities and maintains safety KPIs (Key Performance Indicator)
- Supports the QA team to conduct the Risk Assessment, Job Hazard Analysis and Aspects Impact analysis
- Ensures that radioactive substance, explosives, gases, and all inflammable, toxic or dangerous materials are stored in the manner laid down in statutory, Company and Client regulations.
- Prepares safety awareness training materials and conducts training for the staff.
- Supports the quality Management to draft the HSE related procedure and it’s on time review
- Ensures that all working areas are kept clear of debris, materials, tools etc. and bringing to the attention of those in charge all shortcomings to maintain a safe working environment.
- Monitors, Coordinates, Resolves / Escalates issues related to workplace safety, accidents, PPE awareness.
- Monitors conformance with OHSAS standards, procedures; operational procedures
- High school or associate degree in Safety Inspection
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in safety inspection or related field
- Working knowledge of Environmental, Health, Safety and Security (EHSS) standards
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Computer skills (MS Office)
- Detail oriented - precise and accurate
- Innate keenness to comply with standards and regulations
- Problem solving skills with ability to make independent sound judgment

- Advise management on any changes that affect the QHSE management system, ensuring continuous improvement and compliance.
- Inspect equipment and machinery to observe possible unsafe conditions, where applicable.
- Ensure the implementation of QHSE Management System and ongoing compliance to the standards.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as industrial safety, occupational health, environmental science, or engineering.
- Minimum five to six years of experience in a QHSE position.
- Recognized certifications in safety management, risk assessment, or occupational health.
- Strong command of English in both verbal and written communication.

- Supervise the data reconciliation and validation with financial control, IT, business units, and subsidiaries to ensure adherence to established risk management standards.
- Design, establish, and maintain a robust Risk Management Information System (RMIS) as per the Group ERM Framework and Reporting Protocols.
- Analyze big data and provide solutions in conjunction with IT & SAP teams.
- Manage the Risk Management Information System (RMIS) & coordinate all necessary changes with system admins / service provider.
- Perform Quantitative Risk Analysis and calculating EMVs (Expected Monetary Values) to all applicable types of financial risks.
- Review process understanding working papers prepared by Risk Analysts as well as explaining the link between the Group structure, systems, processes and risk practices.
- Review and analyze relevant metrics and KRIs as per the KRI Program Plan designing KRI trend analysis and reports accordingly.
- Design and implement an overall risk management process for Mezzan, which includes an analysis of the financial impact on the company when risks occur.
- Analyze current risks, identify potential emerging risks, and evaluate Group’s historical risk management performance comparing potential risks against established criteria (e.g., cost, legal requirements).
- Prepare and maintain Risk Appetite, Risk Incidents, Country-wide, Division-wide, and Business Unit-wide Dashboards as per the risk management plan.
- Develop Business Division Risk Reports for assigned risk area / categories as per the risk management plan.
