The Market Development Manager will play a pivotal role in supporting the launch and expansion of key automotive initiatives, particularly in the pre-owned vehicle domain. This role is responsible for managing dealer relationships, sourcing vehicles across key markets, and working cross-functionally with leasing, trade-in, and operations teams to optimize inventory flow and market penetration.
The role also includes the execution of go-to-market activities, vendor interactions, and coordination with data and product teams to drive intelligent pricing strategies, ensure vehicle quality, and support commercial growth.
Job Responsibilities- Dealer Network Development: Build and maintain strong relationships with used car dealers, traders, and suppliers across the GCC and international markets to support vehicle sourcing.
- Market Sourcing: Actively source vehicles through partnerships, auctions, and aggregators to meet business volume and profitability targets.
- Process Management: Collaborate with trade-in, leasing, and reconditioning teams to ensure seamless processing and turnaround of vehicles.
- Pricing Support: Work with the analytics team to refine pricing strategies based on market trends, demand fluctuations, and sourcing costs.
- Vendor Coordination: Manage key vendor relationships to support inspection, logistics, and quality assurance functions.
- Commercial Enablement: Provide market insights and competitor intelligence to guide business decisions and enhance value propositions.
- Operational Efficiency: Identify and implement improvements in sourcing, inspection, and procurement workflows.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Automotive Management, or a related field
- Experience: Minimum 5 years in automotive procurement, dealer management, or pre-owned vehicle operations.
- Languages: Strong command of English (Arabic is a plus).
- Technical Skills: Familiarity with vehicle evaluation tools, procurement systems, and online automotive marketplaces.
- Strong negotiation and relationship management skills with dealers and trade partners.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and multitasking abilities.
- Solid understanding of automotive sourcing, pricing dynamics, and reconditioning operations.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a keen eye for market opportunities and cost-saving initiatives.
- Collaborative approach with the ability to align cross-functional teams toward common business goals.
