NBK Wealth is recruiting for a Senior Officer - System Administration for its Information Technology team in Kuwait.

Role Summary:

You will be responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining our server and systems architecture, diagnosing hardware and software issues, and providing technical support to ensure the continuous availability of business systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support users across multiple countries, utilizing local resources.
  • Deploy, manage, and maintain Microsoft Exchange, SQL, Collaboration Servers, and Privileged Access Management (PAM) solutions.
  • Install, configure, and administer Veritas Enterprise Vault and Back Office Systems (e.g., Advent Sage).
  • Handle user account creation, profile setup, and password management.
  • Manage open support cases, troubleshoot incidents, and leverage system logs and online resources for problem resolution.
  • Plan and execute scheduled maintenance and upgrades, respond to system breakdowns, and diagnose hardware/software faults.
  • Repair equipment, replace faulty parts, and test new technologies.
  • Collaborate with support vendors to ensure timely resolution and system stability.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in IT or related discipline.
  • MCSE, VMware, and/or Virtualization certifications are required; Linux exposure is a plus.
  • Certifications in Application Servers (Office 365, MS Exchange, MS SQL, MS SharePoint, MS Dynamics 365 CRM) are preferred.
  • Minimum of 7 years (5+ on relevant technologies) experience supporting infrastructure for 300+ users, ideally in a banking environment.
  • Strong knowledge of IT best practices, procedures, and policies.
  • Hands-on experience with Windows and Linux platforms on VMware, Hyper-V, Nutanix, etc.
  • Deep understanding of Office 365 and Azure services.
  • Proficiency with Directory Services, Group Policies, and Windows 10/11 client management familiarity with security solutions such as DLP, EDR, SIEM.
  • Solid background in backup/recovery tools like Veeam, Backup Exec, and PPDM/Data Domain systems.
  • Experience with SAN storage, Data Domain, Brocade switches, Dell/EMC products (advantageous).
  • Strong knowledge of networking, server administration, and virtualization technologies.

Work with customer development leads, client executives, and partners to manage and deliver successful cloud security architectures, serving as a cloud security and compliance subject matter expert and a trusted advisor to decision makers throughout the engagement.

Work with internal specialists, Product, and Engineering teams to package approaches, best practices, and lessons learned into thought leadership, methodologies, and published assets.

Interact with Sales, Partners, and customer technical stakeholders to manage project scope, priorities, deliverables, risks and issues, and timelines for successful client outcomes.

Travel approximately 30% of the time for client engagements.

As a Data Platform Solution Engineer (SE), you will play a pivotal role in helping enterprises unlock the full potential of Microsoft's cloud database and analytics stack across every stage of deployment. You'll collaborate closely with engineering leaders and platform teams to accelerate the Fabric Data Platform, including Azure Databases and Analytics, through hands-on engagements like Proof of Concepts, hackathons, and architecture workshops. **Responsibilities**
+ Drive technical sales with decision makers using demos and PoCs to influence solution design and enable production deployments.
+ Lead hands-on engagements-hackathonsand architecture workshops-to accelerate adoption of Microsoft's cloud platforms.
+ Build trusted relationships with platform leads, co-designing secure, scalable architectures and solutions
+ Resolve technical blockers and objections, collaborating with engineering to share insights and improve products.
+ Maintain deep expertise in Analytics Portfolio: Microsoft Fabric (OneLake, DW, real-time intelligence, BI, Copilot), Azure Databricks, Purview Data Governance and Azure Databases: SQL DB, Cosmos DB, PostgreSQL.
+ Maintain and grow expertise in on-prem EDW (Teradata, Netezza, Exadata), Hadoop & BI solutions.
+ Represent Microsoft through thought leadership in cloud Database & Analytics communities and customer forums
**Qualifications**
**Required Qualifications**
+ 5+ years technical pre-sales or technical consulting experience
+ OR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field AND 4+ years technical pre-sales or technical consulting experience
+ OR Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field AND 3+ year(s) technical pre-sales or technical consulting experience
+ OR equivalent experience
+ Expert on Azure Databases (SQL DB, Cosmos DB, PostgreSQL) from migration & modernize and creating new AI apps.
+ Expert on Azure Analytics (Fabric, Azure Databricks, Purview) and competitors (BigQuery, Redshift, Snowflake) in data warehouse, data lake, big data, analytics, real-time intelligent, and reporting using integrated Data Security & Governance.
+ Proven ability to lead technical engagements (e.g., hackathons, PoCs, MVPs) that drive production-scale outcomes.
**Additional or Preferred Qualifications**
+ 6+ years technical pre-sales, technical consulting, or technology delivery, or related experience
+ o OR equivalent experience
+ 4+ years experience with cloud and hybrid, or on premises infrastructure, architecture designs, migrations, industry standards, and/or technology management
+ Proficient on data warehouse & big data migration including on-prem appliance (Teradata, Netezza, Oracle), Hadoop (Cloudera, Hortonworks) and Azure Synapse Gen2.
