**Purpose**:The Security Guard Cleared position provides loss prevention and physical security to the site in order to maintain a safe and secure work environment. **Essential Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Stands static guard posts and conducts roving patrols of the work-site areas.
- Monitors and ensures proper identification of employees and visitors through access control points.
- Maintains entry and exit control logs and other required documentation.
- Follows detail instructions and procedures to accomplish work objectives in the performance of routine, repetitive standardized tasks.
- Observes, monitors and reports all incidents and suspicious activities in a timely manner.
- Completes required paperwork in a timely and correct fashion.
- Sounds alarm and/or calls police, fire, and emergency personnel in case of fire or medical emergencies.
- Establishes and maintains effective working relationships at all levels of the organization.

**Minimum Position Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities**

**Education**:

- High school diploma or equivalent required.

**Experience**:

- 2-3 years of civilian and/or military security or law enforcement experience required.

**Specialized Knowledge and Skills**:

- Must have knowledge of security operations and procedures.
- Must have knowledge of supervisory principles and practices.
- Must have advanced written and oral communications skills.
- Must have strong interpersonal communication skills and ability to work and communicate with others effectively.

**Certification, License & Clearance**:

- Secret clearance required.
- Must be U.S. Citizen.

**Active Clearance is required**: Must have an active Tier 3 Secret U.S. Government clearance.

Note: U.S. Citizenship is required to obtain a Tier 3 Secret clearance.

**Work Environment, Physical Demands & Mental Demands**:

- Ability to perform job duties efficiently and effectively.
