About the Role
The Financial Reporting and Consolidation supervisor is responsible for overseeing the preparation, analysis, and integrity of financial statements and reports across the organization, ensuring compliance with IFRS standards and regulatory requirements. The role involves supervising the consolidation of financial data from multiple entities, supporting strategic decision-making through insightful analysis, and ensuring alignment with corporate objectives. Responsibilities Strategic- Provide strategic financial guidance to management by aligning financial reporting with budgets, forecasts, and corporate objectives.
- Ensure the timely preparation and presentation of consolidated financial statements and variance analyses to inform decision-making at the executive and board levels.
- Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and strategies that enhance accuracy, compliance, and efficiency across the organization.
- Identify and lead opportunities for process automation and improvement within the financial reporting function.
- Supervise the preparation and analysis of quarterly, and annual financial reports in compliance with IFRS standards.
- Oversee the end-to-end group consolidation process, ensuring the elimination of intercompany transactions and balances.
- Collaborate with country-level finance teams to maintain consistency in reporting standards across all entities.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for external auditors on consolidation-related matters, resolving issues and ensuring audit readiness.
- Conduct variance analysis to provide actionable insights into financial performance and identify key drivers of results.
- Support regulatory compliance, tax management, and audit standards across jurisdictions.
- Lead, coach, and mentor a team of junior staff and consolidation specialists to ensure high performance and professional growth.
- Provide training and guidance to team members on IFRS standards, consolidation processes, and reporting best practices.
- Foster a collaborative and knowledge-sharing environment by building and disseminating critical financial information across teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance
- 7-9 years of finance and accounting experience, especially in Financial Reporting and Consolidation
- Preference for a Big 4 background
- Qualification is a must, CA, CPA, ACCA or equivalent certification.
- Understanding of financial management obligations (including statutory obligations), requirements and dynamics
- High level proficiency in using Microsoft Office Software with focus on Excel
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Detail-oriented.
- Reliable, with Self Initiative, can work with minimum Supervision and ability to communicate with other Subsidiaries and Departments
- Superior Time Management Skills and strong ability to handle pressure and particular to Deadline
- Preference for a Big 4 background

Our client is a global MNC with its corporate HQ based in Kuwait. With operations spanning both the Middle East and Europe, they are currently seeking an internationally minded professional to take responsibility for their Group Financial Reporting.
The role will report to the Group CFO and be responsible for consolidating financial statements, periodical financial reporting, supervising the function in Kuwait, and remotely overseeing the function in international locations. This is a senior position that involves managing relationships at a corporate level as well as leading a team of capable and technically skilled finance staff.
Applicants must have the following qualifications:
- Qualified Accountant with 8-10 years of PQE

Job Purpose SummaryThe incumbent will assist the VP Finance on all aspects of Financial Control and administration issues of QNB business in the assigned country. Undertakes a range of specialized accounting clerical duties within a specific function. Has the ability to arrive at conclusions and follow the most appropriate course of action, within procedure constraints.
Main Duties & Responsibilities- Shareholder & Financial: Proactively market the Group’s products to increase sales volume and profitability, and to achieve or exceed set targets and goals for QNB First customer segment, primarily customer acquisition & general deposits and investments (AUM).
- Strive to be mindful of KPIs for branch customer service performance monitoring and quality measurement purposes.
- Observe and promote cost consciousness and efficiency, and enhance productivity, to minimize costs, avoid wastes, and optimize benefits for the bank.
- Act within the limits of the powers delegated to the incumbent.
- Implement KPIs and best practices for the role.
- Customer (Internal & External): Enhance the Group’s image through pro-active customer-driven servicing of their needs in support of the goal of exceeding customer expectations; act as the first point of contact for QNB First customers, especially for new customers, answering queries and providing information about products and services.
- Provide confidentiality and handle related issues for QNB First customers; assist customers in queries on the Bank’s products and seek solutions to their requests.
- Maintain activities in accordance with SLAs with internal departments/units to achieve improvements in turn-around time.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with related departments to achieve the Group’s goals/objectives.
- Provide timely and accurate information to external and internal auditors, Compliance, Financial Control and Risk Functions as required.
- Internal (Processes, Products, Regulatory): Build strong relations with potential and existing customers; maintain QNB First customer service area files, database, records, registers and logs; work with the branch team to provide information and act as liaison to customer needs related to QNB First segment.
- Provide authorizations and downloads as necessary to ensure smooth daily operations; identify cross-selling opportunities; perform tasks such as posting account openings, data maintenance, and issuing balance/no-liability certificates.
- Assist customers with forms and applications (opening accounts; applying for ATM, credit cards, and checkbooks; standing order instructions); receive loan applications and prepare loan agreements; refer unresolved queries to Branch Manager.
- Maintain activities in accordance with SLAs; build relationships with departments; provide information to auditors and Compliance as required.
- Learning & Knowledge: Possess working knowledge of branch CRM; provide training to new QNB First customer relationship officers when needed; develop investment skills and pursue professional development opportunities.
- Legal, Regulatory, and Risk Framework Responsibilities: Comply with legal, regulatory and internal compliance requirements; understand Three Lines of Defence; ensure good client outcomes; support RCSA, KRI, incident reporting and remediation; maintain knowledge to undertake the role; complete mandatory training and attend seminars as instructed.
