This position is for a Support Equipment (SE) Lead to coordinate the maintenance and calibration of the Kuwait Air Force (KAF) Support Equipment in support of C-17 Field Services based at Al-Mubarak Air Base in Kuwait City and will require relocation to Kuwait. **Responsibilities**:
- Develops final scheduled maintenance visit plan, manages a minor plan and responds to customer issues.
- Identifies and manage resource requirement, parts inventory and validates parts availability with supply chain to support customer and project needs.
- Verifies work performed and administers sell-off paperwork. Receives customer inquiries regarding quality issues and performs root cause analysis. Maintains performance metrics.
- The successful applicant will coordinate SE maintenance requirements and will plan, research, develop, analyze and retrofit repair solutions that comply with customer, regulatory, and company requirements.
- They will also define the procedures, special tooling, kit requirements, work packages, and material requirements for accomplishment of inspections, modifications, improvement changes, and repairs of delivered products.
- They will plan and coordinate modifications, maintenance, and repair of enterprise products and assist engineering staff in planning and incorporating improvements.
- Responsible for assisting project development, planning, implementation, management, and technical support activities related to SE maintenance, modifications, calibration, proof load test and repairs per established customer, regulatory, and company requirements.
- Will also review and recommend projects and proposals or aircraft Support Equipment modification.
- Required to manage moderately complex or multiple projects, and develop, coordinate and forecast requirements.
- Will monitor project performance and risks and take necessary corrective action.
- Lead and manage tool room process and have knowledge of TCMAX and other toolcrib programs. Maintain tools, Hazmat, PMEL, weight check and other position requirements as directed by management or Boeing to fulfill customer and contractual requirements.
- Maintain database records for equipment status, spare part demands and the spare tool program.
- Leads and directs the work of other technicians and provides training as required.
- Works with mínimal direction.
**Basic Requirements**:
- Knowledge of USAF Technical Orders and Forms and knowledge of transport aircraft maintenance programs is required.
- Have prior experience on US Air Force and/or Boeing maintaining aircraft Ground Support Equipment
- Experience with logistics and inventory management
- Ability to operate forklift, crane and other vehicles as required
- Demonstrated proficiency with database entry software systems and Microsoft operating system, including Outlook, MS Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint.
**Typical Education/ Experience**:
Education/experience typically acquired through basic education (e.g. High School diploma/GED) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience on US Air Force and/or Boeing maintaining aircraft Ground Support Equipment or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. vocational school/Associate+2 years' related work, Bachelor, etc.).

Responsibilities
- To ensure efficient delivery of installation, testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenance services for Honeywell Fire Alarm and Gas Detection Systems at client sites, in line with Honeywell’s standards, local regulations, and project specifications. Troubleshoot system faults, alarms, and perform root cause analysis to restore normal operation. Replace faulty devices and reconfigure panels as needed.
- Documentation & Reporting: Prepare commissioning reports, cause & corrective action reports, test forms, and as-built drawings. Maintain accurate records of service calls, spare part replacements, and system configurations.
- Customer & Project Interface:Liaise with clients, consultants, and contractors for approvals, inspections, and client handovers. Support project handover and provide training to customer personnel. Maintain professional relationships and uphold Honeywell’s image on-site.
- Compliance & Safety: Follow Honeywell and client site safety protocols. Ensure work complies with NFPA/EN standards and local Civil Defense (KFF) regulations. Keep systems updated with the latest firmware and software patches.

Carry out site installation verification, loop testing, and system commissioning for Honeywell Fire Alarm Panels (e.g., XLS Range of panels) and Gas Detection Systems (Fixed point-type gas detectors, aspirating systems, flame detectors). Verify all field devices (smoke/heat detectors, MCPs, sounders, gas sensors) for correct installation and functionality. Integrate Honeywell systems with third-party systems via Modbus/BACnet as per design.
- Review and interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and BOQ to ensure compliance. Willingness to travel to project sites and work for site surveys and data collection. Maintain service records, test reports, and prepare detailed documentation post-intervention for future projects and estimation support
- Degree in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, or related field.
- Sound knowledge of NFPA, local fire codes, and standards.
- Hands-on experience in addressable and conventional fire alarm panels, flame and gas detectors, and system integration. Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills. Good communication and client-handling skills.

- Perform daily operation and maintenance tasks for the Joint Portal Shield (JPS) system at the fielded sites.
- Provide operation, maintenance, and supply support for the Joint Portal Shield System.
- Perform and support all required maintenance actions (i.e., Operator’s, Field Level maintenance, and Sustainment Level maintenance to maintain the Joint Portal Shield.
- Operate the JPS in a contingency, expanded Threat Condition (THREATCON) Delta role when notified by the Government, usually during exercises, VIP visits or events, or increased threat readiness levels.
- Perform system modifications and upgrades to replace obsolete parts, including all routine, urgent, and emergency Modification Work Orders (MWOs).
- Distinguishes between hardware and software problems in multi-vendor systems.
- Perform installation, test, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electronics equipment.
- Stock and maintain sufficient quantities of LRUs, SRUs, and repair parts to support daily operations and preventative maintenance.
- Maintain supplies, consumables, expendables and durables and repair parts in support of all JPS systems for both normal, daily, routine and contingency operations.
- Interfaces with the installation CBRNE response cell or Emergency Management and maintain customer relations to ensure smooth and efficient emergency response.
**Required Experience and Education**:
High School Degree or GED. Minimum 5 years’ experience.
Prior experience maintaining US Military force protection systems, preferred experience with Joint Portal Shield Systems / Subsystems.
Prior experience maintaining chemical / biological detection equipment.
Experience operating and maintaining commercial or military power generation equipment, 5-10 KW preferred.
Experience performing diagnostic and repair of electronic systems, components, wiring harnesses, Line Replaceable Units (LRUs)
Experience using maintenance management software to record maintenance and supply transactions (Maximo preferred).
**Knowledge and Skills**:
Fluent with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel).

THE CHALLENGE:
- Must be capable of performing analyses of system operations specific to experience with IBD-K
services for platforms such as the Integrated Base Defense (IBD) Kitting.
- Must have knowledge of and experience in the operations of hardware systems and components
- Must have experience in fault detection, isolation, and correction of hardware systems and individual
components
- Must be capable of routine system maintenance and analysis functions including hardware configurations;
adding, removing, and replacing hardware components; use of hardware and software diagnostic testing tools;
reading of electronic circuit schematics; and repairing printed circuit boards
- Performs sustainment and PMCS maintenance on the towers and payloads
- Performs site surveys to determine type and placement of systems
- Installs and de-installs systems and their components and trains operators and end users
- Updates databases, informs Lead of job status and any issues encountered
- Tracks and updates work orders to include the replacement of parts component serial numbers removed and
replaced
- May travel via military/commercial conveyances to outlying areas
- Skilled using hand tools, power tools, and electronics measuring and test equipment
- Ability to perform minor maintenance on generators such as changing oil and filter
- Must have the ability to generate/produce data and reports
- Interact and professionally exhibit customer service skills and be able to present a positive approach with

THE CHALLENGE:
Execute BETSS-C equipment calibrations and preventive/corrective maintenance in both garrison and field environments.
Make direct liaison with active US Army, US Army Reserve, and US National Guard units to conduct operator and sustainment level maintenance.
Interface directly with original equipment manufacturers for external support or maintenance actions that exceed contractor capabilities.
Execute master work schedules and provide direct input into an automated logistics management system for work performed, work to be performed, and all equipment technical data as required.
Conduct equipment shelf life management, configuration management of software and hardware, and calibrations.
Interface with training staff as necessary to facilitate equipment maintenance training to program stakeholders.
Research and gather relevant project data, contribute to the development of technical documentation and equipment readiness reports, respond to customer inquiries, and verify product technical quality.
Responsible for tracking assigned maintenance activities and keeping the journeyman-level FSTs appraised of progress and issues.
Will ensure all intervals of preventive maintenance are completed as scheduled and all corrective maintenance issues are addressed in a timely manner.
Enters all maintenance actions into the applicable work order tracking systems and works closely with the logistics support personnel for tool, consumable, or replacement part requisitioning.
Responsible for guiding and training junior FSTs.
Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
Interface with military units and conduct scheduled and unscheduled maintenance site visits.
Use an automated logistics management system to generate, track, update, and close out maintenance work orders, provide reporting as required, and maintain accountability of property.
Load and unload trucks, receive materials, wrap, label, and ship equipment and supplies.
Inspect, diagnose, repair, calibrate, and perform quality control for BETSS-C equipment.
Conduct shelf-life and warranty management for BETSS-C equipment.
Complete inspections of unit equipment and open and track work orders.
Ensure compliance with all hazardous material regulations.
Travel to military sites and conduct preventive and corrective maintenance.
Conduct equipment inventories.
Complete all required training and maintain certifications.
