Primary Objective

  • Coordination of specified tasks within the environmental engineering discipline.
  • Responsible for the progress and quality of assigned tasks within the environment area, including the supervision of engineers and graduates.
  • To ensure all work carried out conforms with agreed codes and practices, meets all requirements of the contract’s specification, and ensures all work is carried out within agreed schedules, budgets, and procedures.
  • To provide innovative and cost-effective solutions to clients for operating problems and capacity constraints in their existing oil and gas and petrochemical operations.
  • Management, technical execution, and completion of engineering assigned tasks in a specific Environment discipline area.
  • Assisting the project engineers in the coordination and preparation of input into the contract documents for each discipline area, including design criteria, the scope of work, procedures, and design approach
  • Liaison and coordination with other engineers and discipline groups on the contract to effect timely production of deliverables.
  • Manage studies and Environment-orientated projects as assigned.
  • Development and improvement of company standards and Environment design methods.
  • Technical writing activities, in particular, the production of technical reports and operating manuals.
  • Training and mentoring of new Environment engineering graduates to enable them to achieve professional membership.
  • Quality Assurance – Responsible for working within the provisions and guidelines of the Quality Assurance system relevant to the Oil and Gas Business Unit.
  • Safety – Responsible for personal safety safe working practices for the Oil and Gas Business Unit. Understand and follow OH&S procedures.

Who You Are

  • You are an individual who is self-motivated, proactive, and works well with a team.
  • You will be seen as the Subject matter specialist for the resolution of issues arising across all areas of the job and be able to clearly explain complex processes that surround the role.
  • We expect you to ensure the integrity of the work scope and that all work is carried-out in accordance with applicable codes and standards.
  • We expect you to mentor of less experienced members of staff including ‘hands on’ approach to the formulation and delivery of training programs for local Kuwaiti personnel.

Preferred Qualification(s) And/or Experience

  • You will possess either an engineering degree in Environment or Chemical and/or an equivalent diploma from an accredited college or university. This is an essential contractual requirement.
  • You must have work experience working within PMC projects in the above-mentioned industries.
  • You will have experience working with advanced engineering tools, data systems & other general office / engineering software will be given first preference.
  • You will have the ability to interact effectively with people of all nationalities & cultures while using clear, fluent, and expressive verbal and written language to convey information and ideas. An individual with excellent communication and people skills, a consummate developer of relationship(s) on a sustainable and long-term basis.
  • You will have broad based knowledge of the requirements for process engineering through all phases of project life cycle, from FEED through to Commissioning, within Oil & Gas or related industries.
  • You will demonstrate an ability to lead/coach/mentor colleagues and/or staff.
  • You will have the ability to work under tight time constraints with excellent time management and planning skills as well as manage multiple priorities.
  • You will be willing to engage and manage clients as required by the needs of the business and if deemed necessary by the Worley management.

Specific Accountabilities

Project management and coordination of remediation programs, including the development and maintenance of project schedules and budgets and coordination of junior staff. Responsible for the successful execution of remediation programs including remedial design/implementation, excavation supervision and confirmatory sampling. Preparation and presentation to clients of technical correspondence, project proposals, reports, work plans, and project specifications including cost estimates and budgets. Regular communication with clients through verbal and written correspondence which may include presentations. Interpretation of environmental regulations and investigation results to successfully meet the clients requirements. Communication with regulators and stakeholders. Supervision, training and mentoring of junior employees. Quality assurance – responsible for working within the provisions and guidelines of the quality assurance system relevant to the Contaminated Sites Group; Become familiar with Worleys’ safety manuals and comply with Worleys’ Health & Safety policies. Responsible for personal safety and safe working practices for the Contaminated Sites Group. Understand and follow occupational health and safety procedures. Qualification

B.Sc. Environmental Engineering. Experience

Experienced in similar role. Shall have experience in managing remediation technologies for oil contaminated soil. Must have experience in developing strategies for Remediation programs. Should be familiar with the necessary engineering and organisational controls required to prevent damage to the environment. Should have experience in environmental issues in design, construction or operation of landfill installations, including handling permits for plants, utilities, water treatment, wastewater treatment, petrochemicals, oilfield production and related hazardous disposals. Shall be capable of assisting / preparing Environmental Impact Assessment, conceptual site Modelling, Environmental Control for projects and ensure compliance during all stages of the Project. Shall have experience in standards and methods of sampling and characterisation. #LI-Onsite Moving forward together

We are seeking an Environmental Engineer – Data Analysis and Training Coordinator to support the Environmental Department in two key areas: environmental KPI data analysis and the management of internal environmental training programs. This role ensures environmental performance is effectively measured, communicated, and improved through accurate data reporting and consistent employee training.


Responsibilities

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual environmental data reports for review by the direct manager.

  • Support internal audits and inspections as per ISO 14001 Environmental Management System (EMS) requirements.

  • Create, coordinate, manage, and maintain online environmental training system modules.

  • Monitor training completion rates and ensure compliance with internal environmental training requirements.

  • Work with department leads and HR to support onboarding and refresher training needs.

  • Provide regular updates and reports on training performance.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field.

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in data analysis or a related role.

  • Strong skills in Excel and/or data visualization tools such as Power BI.

  • High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects.


Skills

  • Strong analytical and data management skills (Excel, Power BI, etc.).

  • Good communication and reporting skills.

  • Basic knowledge of ISO 14001 requirements and environmental compliance.

  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
