OverviewThe General Manager leads the establishment and growth of the medical equipment division in Kuwait, ensuring compliance with local regulations and delivering strategic business results.
Responsibilities- Lead the establishment of the medical equipment division in Kuwait, ensuring compliance with all local regulations.
- Develop and execute business strategy, sales targets, and growth roadmap.
- Identify and onboard international suppliers/manufacturers for medical equipment and consumables.
- Establish distribution channels and oversee import, logistics, warehousing, and supply chain operations.
- Continuously monitor market trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes to adapt strategy.

- Business Setup & Strategy
- Lead the establishment of the medical equipment division in Kuwait, ensuring compliance with all local regulations.
- Develop and execute business strategy, sales targets, and growth roadmap.
- Identify and onboard international suppliers/manufacturers for medical equipment and consumables.
- Establish distribution channels and oversee import, logistics, warehousing, and supply chain operations.
- Continuously monitor market trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes to adapt strategy.
- Regulatory & Compliance
- Manage product registration and approval with the Kuwait Ministry of Health and other relevant authorities.
- Ensure compliance with tendering processes, import/export laws, and healthcare regulations.
- Maintain strict adherence to quality standards (ISO, CE, FDA, GMP).
- Establish and maintain ISO/CE/FDA quality compliance standards for products.
- Liaise with government authorities to resolve regulatory or compliance challenges proactively.
- Sales & Business Development
- Build strong relationships with hospitals, clinics, pharmacies, and government institutions.
- Identify and participate in public and private tenders.
- Negotiate contracts and partnership agreements with clients and suppliers.
- Develop strategies to capture market share in consumables, devices, and hospital equipment.
- Represent the company at trade fairs, industry conferences, and professional associations in Kuwait and the wider GCC.
- Team & Operations Management
- Recruit, mentor, and lead a multidisciplinary team (sales, service engineers, customer support, logistics).
- Establish customer service, installation, warranty, and after-sales maintenance operations.
- Implement ERP/CRM systems to streamline operations, inventory, and client management.
- Monitor and report on KPIs, P&L, and operational efficiency to the Board.
- Instill a performance-driven culture with accountability and continuous improvement.
- Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering, Healthcare Management, Business Administration, or related field (MBA preferred).
- 10+ years of experience in medical equipment / pharmaceutical distribution / healthcare trading, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Demonstrated success in company setup, business expansion, and profit growth
- Strong track record in product registration, Ministry of Health approvals, and tender participation in Kuwait or GCC.
- Deep knowledge of medical equipment, consumables, and hospital supplies market.
- Excellent network of contacts within Kuwait’s healthcare ecosystem (hospitals, clinics, pharmacies, MOH).
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Proven business development, sales, and negotiation capabilities.
- Analytical and financial acumen: ability to manage budgets, pricing strategies, and profitability.
- Tech-savvy with ERP, CRM, and digital healthcare tools.
- Fluency in English; Arabic proficiency preferred.
- Those with experience in Medical Equipment Supply / Healthcare Trading
- Should be visa with article 18

Extensive knowledge of Airfield Management rules, regulations, techniques, and training requirements for safe, efficient, and effective airfield environment for aircraft operations.
- Must be able to obtain/maintain a US Government Secret Security Clearance. NOTE: US Citizenship is required to obtain a Secret Clearance.
