Reporting to : Assistant IT Manager

Location : Kana Headquarters - Kuwait (with support coverage for UAE operations)

Job Purpose

To ensure the smooth operation, maintenance, and support of Kana Group’s IT infrastructure and systems — with a key focus on the Odoo ERP system. The role supports multiple business entities across Kuwait and the UAE, including Kana Group, Nail Station, NumberC (Retail & Café), and Medica Care Center.

Key Accountabilities

1. ERP Administration (Odoo)

•Manage daily operations and performance of Odoo ERP, ensuring system availability and integrity.

•Handle user roles, access rights, workflow setups, module configurations, and security protocols.

  • Coordinate with vendors and internal users to troubleshoot issues and implement enhancements.

•Train end users across departments on Odoo functionalities and updates.

2. IT Infrastructure & Systems Support

•Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot servers, networks, and hardware across sites in Kuwait and the UAE.

• Perform preventive maintenance and ensure system backups, antivirus, and updates are in place.

• Provide Level 1 and 2 technical support to users across all business units.

3. Systems Implementation & Integration

• Participate in IT projects and support implementation of new software and hardware systems.

• Support integration of Odoo with other platforms (POS, HR, Finance, CRM, etc.).

• Evaluate and recommend new IT tools and systems as needed.

4. Documentation & Compliance

• Maintain IT documentation, configuration records, change logs, and access controls.

• Ensure compliance with internal IT policies and data security standards.

• Support audit and risk assessment exercises related to IT systems.

5. Cross-Entity Support & Collaboration

• Serve as a centralized IT support resource across all Kana Group entities.

• Coordinate with UAE-based users remotely and ensure business continuity.

• Support cross-functional teams with technical requirements and digital tools.

Communication & Working Relationships

Internal Purpose:

Business Unit Teams (Kuwait & UAE): To resolve user issues, provide support, and deliver system enhancements.

HR, Finance, Operations: To support ERP usage, user access, and reporting needs.

Assistant IT Manager: To report status, escalate issues, and implement department plans.

External | Purpose:

| Software Vendors & ERP Consultants | To coordinate troubleshooting, maintenance, and system improvements |

| Service Providers (ISPs, Hardware) | To manage IT infrastructure support |

Decision-Making Authority

Authorize basic user access changes, hardware configurations, and routine troubleshooting actions.

Escalate complex technical issues or budgetary decisions to the Assistant IT Manager.

Skills

Qualifications, Experience & Skills

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent.

CertificationsOdoo Functional or Technical Certification (preferred).

Microsoft / Cisco certifications (a plus).

Minimum 4–6 years in IT system administration, including at least 2–3 years hands-on Odoo ERP experience.

Technical Skills:

Strong Odoo configuration and support expertise.

Network troubleshooting and server administration.

Familiarity with Linux, databases (PostgreSQL), and system integration.

Soft Skills:

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Ability to manage cross-entity support remotely.

Excellent communication in English (Arabic a plus).

The Role You Will Be Responsible For
  • Designing, maintaining, and supporting network infrastructure.
  • Monitoring system performance to ensure reliability and availability.
  • Recommending infrastructure solutions aligned with business requirements and IT policies.
  • Providing Level 2 support and troubleshooting as needed.
Ideal Profile
  • Degree/Diploma in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years' experience, preferably as a Network or Systems Engineer.

Job Details

Location: Kuwait

Contract Duration: 2 to 4 Years

Qualification And Experience Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related engineering field or equivalent.
  • Experience with Cisco Switches, Routers, and Firewalls (FirePOWER).
  • Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in IT operations roles including on-call.
  • The ideal candidate will have experience in complex Network environments supporting fast-paced business operations, working with systems including Cisco, and others.
  • Proficiency with Cisco IOS commands, router and switch setups, IOS backup, and recovery.
  • Sound knowledge of Routing Protocol Configurations, Standard Access-list, Extended Access-list configuration, Multi-Protocol Label Switching (MPLS) concepts, Voice over IP (VoIP), OSI 7 Layer Model, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, TFTP, knowledge of virtual routing forwarding (VRF), along with IPv4 and the subnetting process.
  • Familiarity with OSPF and EIGRP, the experience of IP addressing, administrating subnets and various routing models.
  • Implementation of HSRP, DHCP, DNS, FTP, TFTP and Syslog.
  • Experience of implementing SNMP on various devices.
  • The Cisco CCNP is must and the Cisco CCIE is optional.
  • Must have Driving License.

Job Description
We are seeking a candidate for the following role:

  • To ensure hardware configuration management and placement inside DC/DRC smoothly run.
  • To ensure DC/DRC facilities run well including to notify maintenance contract to vendor or other service provider for DC/DRC.
  • To ensure and to evaluate SLA report related to DC/DRC facilities. To liaise with other party in periodic maintenance and to report all incident/disruption impacted to DC/DRC.
  • To liaise with DC Head to ensure standard operational mechanism in DC/DRC and also the access procedure to DC/DRC.
  • To liaise with DC support to support inventory process in DC/DRC.
