- Develop procedures for estimates of modifications and additions to onshore and offshore facilities.
- Prepare and supervise estimates throughout project phases, ensuring accuracy.
- Incorporate engineering estimates into overall project budgets.
- Provide rationale to support estimates, identifying risks.
- Validate estimates against norms, previous data, and vendor prices.
- Monitor estimating process performance and recommend improvements.
- Train and supervise estimators, assign projects, review work.
- Review contractual documents and scope changes.
- Assist in schedule development for estimate preparation.
- Develop forms and procedures to improve quality.

- Lead a small estimating team of 1-4 qualified professionals.

Job Responsibilities:
Prepares material takeoffs on the most complex projects, drawings, and plans.Reviews takeoffs provided by the Engineering Department and checks for mathematical and technical accuracy. Prepare rationale statements to support the estimate identifying areas of weakness and or areas of risk. Carry out validation and verification of the estimates using high level norms and by comparing with previous estimates, outcome costs and vendor prices. Continuously monitor the performance of the estimating process as part of the KPIs for the contract. From evaluation of theKPI data identify and make recommendations for improvement of the process. Assists in training, developing, and maintaining a staff of estimators qualified to carry out departmental and project needs.
