Job DescriptionWe are looking for Two (2) Cost Control Engineer (Senior Level) to join a top qualified and knowledgeable team of Engineers in one of our Projects in Kuwait.
What you will need to do- Draft project‑specific Cost Control Procedures if required by the contract.
- Participate in preparing the Cost Breakdown Structure (CBS) and establishing Project Cost Centres.
- Transform the Tender Estimate into the Project First Budget.
- Ensure that costs are properly allocated to relevant Cost Centres.
- Prepare budgets and current estimates.
- Estimate new rates, price variations, and assess claims’ cost impact.
- Monitor actual project costs, determine and analyze cost variances, and develop cost trends and projections using Budgeted Cost for Work Scheduled, Budgeted Cost for Work Performed, Actual Cost for Work Scheduled, Actual Cost for Work Performed, and Cost Performance Index.
- Prepare cost reports or provide the necessary information for such reports.
- Maintain records of actual cost elements (materials, equipment, manpower, etc.) for the Project Close‑Out Report and for feedback to the tendering department.
- Liaise with project sections on cost allocation, accounting, and control matters.
- Prepare the Project Close‑Out Report and Lessons Learnt.
- Perform any other related duties as assigned.
- University degree in Engineering.
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience.
- Experience in EPC Projects above US$100M with direct involvement in Engineering, Procurement, and Construction.
- Previous employment with leading EPC contractors is highly preferable.
- Capability to perform under stressful situations.
- Fluency in English.
- Communicates well and interfaces with the Project Team.
- Has an operational mindset.
