Product Marketing Manager

Product Marketing Manager - Mobile App

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Product Marketing Manager to lead the

mobile app marketing, a deep understanding of user behavior, and a proven ability to

develop and execute successful marketing strategies. As a Product Marketing Manager, you

will be responsible for driving user acquisition, engagement, and retention through effective

**Responsibilities**:
1. Develop and execute comprehensive, integrated product marketing strategies for our

mobile app to drive user acquisition, engagement, and retention.

2. Conduct market research to understand target audiences, industry trends, and

competitive landscapes.

3. Collaborate closely with product management, design, and development teams to

gather insights and effectively communicate product features and benefits.

4. Create compelling and targeted messaging for different user segments, ensuring

consistency across all communication channels.

5. Lead the development of marketing collateral, including app store assets, landing

Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field; MBA is a plus.

2. Proven experience as a Product Marketing Manager, with a focus on mobile app

promotion.

3. Strong understanding of mobile app platforms (iOS and Android) and app store

optimization (ASO) strategies.

4. Excellent communication and storytelling skills to effectively convey product features

and benefits.

5. Data-driven mindset with the ability to analyze and interpret marketing metrics.

6. Experience with marketing automation tools, CRM, analytics platforms and Mobile

Measurement Platforms(MMP) (Preferably Adjust)

We're looking for a Technical Product Marketing Manager who combines deep technical understanding with strategic marketing expertise to develop go-to-market plans for our global security and compliance portfolio.

This is a hands-on, multidisciplinary, and dynamic position that requires working closely with product managers, engineering teams, and security experts to truly understand the technical capabilities of our offerings, and translate them into compelling positioning and content. You'll also collaborate with the content team, sales, and other marketing functions to drive awareness, adoption, and growth.

The ideal candidate is a technologist at heart, someone who thrives on understanding how products work under the hood and is excited to communicate their value clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences. You're motivated by ownership, driven by curiosity, and comfortable operating at the intersection of product and marketing. You love to get hands-on, solve problems, experiment, and build scalable marketing systems.

This role sits within the product marketing team and reports to the Product Marketing Lead

What your day will look like

Lead the go-to-market strategy and execution for Canonical's range of security and compliance products, including messaging and positioning Track the competitive landscape and emerging trends to define product differentiation and value drivers Collaborate with engineering and product teams to understand product roadmaps, and customer use cases Translate technical product capabilities into clear, differentiated messaging for key personas, including Executives, DevSecOps, and platform teams Own campaign and content planning for the security portfolio Use data and insights to iterate on demand generation strategies and optimize conversion throughout the funnel Work with other teams to plan events, webinars and support messaging for paid and social media promotion

Technical understanding of the Cybersecurity world Data-driven mindset, using insights to refine strategies and improve performance. Experience in product marketing for enterprise software, cloud, DevOps, or open-source solutions. Experience with demand generation, understanding how to translate GTM strategies into pipeline growth. Comfort working cross-functionally with product, sales, partners, and marketing teams.

The role of a senior Product Marketing Manager

Canonical has delivered secure open source to millions of users and enterprises. We’re looking for a Senior Product Marketing Manager who will be responsible for developing marketing strategy and go-to-market plans at a global level for our portfolios. This is a hands-on, multi-disciplinary and dynamic position, requiring close collaboration with the product and engineering teams, content team, sales teams, as well as other marketing functionsall in support of Canonical’s growth.

This role sits in the marketing team reporting to the product marketing lead.

Location: This role will be based remotely in the EMEA region.

What your day will look like
- Be responsible for go-to-market planning and execution for one of Canonical’s portfolios.
- Lead on content dissemination, campaign development and planning for product launches.
- You will lead on the development of compelling messaging and positioning that emphasizes business value and connects with target audiences throughout the buying journey
- Conceiving and executing customer base communications and marketing programs to upsell and cross-sell into our large base of customers
- Collaborating with demand generation teams, utilizing data and insights to create and improve strategies that drive traffic to our content, optimizing marketing funnels
- Work with other teams to plan events, webinars, and support paid and social media promotion
- Create and execute content strategies that drive product interest and adoption with relevant target audiences
- Monitoring the competitive landscape to define product positioning that differentiates
- Mentoring junior product marketing managers on marketing planning and execution.

- Experience in a product marketing function for enterprise IT products (SaaS experience preferred)
