We’re looking for a Leader, Construction / Construction Project Manager to join our Ahmadi, Kuwait team. Be a part of Worley’s dynamic team as we extend our management of the KERP program for another five years. What you'll do

• Management, control, coordination and supervision services for the assigned project, including budget formulation, cost control and quality assurance.
• Management of support services for supervising and directing engineering, procurement and management of construction contractors appointed by the Client.
• Management of services for Oil & Gas production activities including start-up and initial operations assistance as well as operational personnel and systems as required by the Client.
• Report to the Line Manager and deputize for them during their absence, with a proven track record of managing multi-projects in general and Design & Engineering and Construction functions in particular in the oil and gas industry.
• Develop the overall strategy for soil remediation in the assigned areas, including contracting strategies and management of contractors.
• Coordinate multidiscipline engineering activities to ensure FEED studies and preparation, ITB check estimate preparation, and LSTK tender package preparation are executed safely, efficiently, cost effectively and on time.
• Act as primary technical coordination interface with the client to ensure client expectations are satisfied.
• Ensure the project conforms to the client’s approved Basis of Design and all applicable regulatory and code requirements.
• Contribute to extending Worley’s management of the KERP program and related environmental restoration initiatives in the Ahmadi, Kuwait team context.

Cost Control

• Monitors cost aspects of the project within direct control to forecast final costs, identifies trends and takes action to avoid cost overruns.
• Promotes implementation of VIP (value improving practices) on the assigned project to improve overall capital effectiveness.

Quality Management

• Contributes to compliance with Worley policies and procedures.
• Strong working knowledge of Worley engineering and procurement systems and procedures.

Team Management

• Focuses the team on achieving milestones and other key project objectives.
• Listens to the team, discusses issues, resolves problems and directs activities to remove roadblocks and achieve objectives.

Design Management

• Sets clear objectives to the design team, including achieving productivity and budget targets.
• Ensures design team is aware of and complies with applicable regulations and codes.
• Manages inter-disciplinary interfaces effectively.

About You

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with significant experience (remarkable year of experience as a placeholder reference).
• Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work well with a team.
• Viewed as a subject matter specialist for resolution of issues across all areas of the job, with ability to explain complex processes clearly.
• Ability to ensure integrity of the work scope and that all work is carried out in accordance with applicable codes and standards.
• Willingness to mentor less experienced staff, including hands-on training for local Kuwaiti personnel.

Overview

The Site Manager is responsible for meeting Contractor’s work requirements, including scheduling of personnel, work supervision, and quality control for all tasks associated with this Task Order. The Site Manager shall have full authority to act for the Contractor on all task order matters relating to daily operation of this contract.

• Possess a valid state issued driver’s license.

The role entails

• Lead your team in daily agile devops practices
• Represent the IS team to stakeholders, customers, and internal teams
• Organize, coordinate and drive internal projects
• Mentor engineers to improve their skills
• Identify and measure team health indicators
• Implement structured engineering and operations processes
• Ensure proper team focus on priorities, milestones, and deliverables
• Work to meet service level agreements with customer deployments around the globe
• Deliver quality managed services in a consistent, timely manner

• Drive and a track record of going above-and-beyond expectations
• Proven experience of software delivery using infrastructure as code
• Proven experience managing devops teams for SAAS or similar offerings
• Understanding of testing methodologies and maintainable code quality
• Technical aptitude for understanding complex distributed systems
• Experience with cloud topologies and technologies
• Ability to travel twice a year, for company events up to two weeks long
• An exceptional academic track record from both high school and university
