Job Description

Role Definition:
The Commercial Manager, Kuwait, reports to the Managing Director for Kuwait and the Chief Commercial Officer.

• Act as the lead commercial person in the territory
• Ensures projects comply with commercial governance
• Provide commercial and contract support to project teams
• Report to senior management on project risks and commercial and contractual issues
• Liaise with other departments when necessary

Duties and Responsibilities:

Bidding Phase and Pre-contract
• Conduct contract risk review of new opportunities and tenders and provide tendering risks and opportunity analysis in accordance with the SSH Commercial Review of Contracts Guidelines and SSH Bidding Protocols;
• Prepare risk management strategy for awarded tenders, to be included in the project hand-over from the bid team to the delivery team;
• Review contract documents for completeness and to ensure that they have been properly executed, distributed and filed.
• Support bid teams on assessing and pricing contract risk in the tender;
• Draft risk mitigation strategy for high risk projects;
• Support and where necessary lead any contractual and commercial negotiations;
Project Start Up / Mobilisation
• Review the Project Management Plan to ensure that commercial responsibilities are properly described including change management, subcontractor engagement, cashflow management, project risks and opportunities.
• Ensure project teams have complied with commercial management processes and procedures for project start up.
• Ensure accepted risk strategy is articulated in the PMP,
• Assist the project team in understanding and appreciation of the contract;
• Assist in preparing templates for specific notices, templates, forms or reports required by the contract;
• Assist in setting up the necessary registers and folders for records in the project folders, specifically early warning register, change register, subconsultant register.
• Assist in the procurement of the necessary bonds and insurances required for by the contract.

Project Execution
• Challenge commercial decisions through the monthly Project Reviews;
• Ensure commercial procedures are followed;
• Interrogate and challenge costs to date and forecast to completion;
• Interrogate and challenge change management, change registers, opportunity recognition and ensure that changes are pursued and closed out;
• Review and challenge the project risk registers to ensure that risks are captured and reported correctly;
• Ensure that revenue recognition is complied with and invoicing and collection of fees is prompt;
• Review fee variations and change orders in accordance with delegated level of authority.
• Provide guidance and support to project teams on understanding project costs, identifying cost trends and forecasting estimates at completion;
• Disseminate best practice commercial management amongst the project teams;
• Provide guidance and support on identifying, drafting and negotiating fee variations;
• Provide advice and support on managing and avoiding contractual risks, including delay damages, penalties and working at risk.

Subconsultant Management
• Ensure that the SSH procedures and guidelines on engaging and managing subconsultants are followed;
• Review requests for quotations prior to issue to market;
• Prepare commercial terms and conditions for subconsultant agreement;
• Review all subconsultant variations before sign off by Resident Engineer;
• Review and sign off subconsultant final accounts.
• Provide advice on subconsultant procurement;
• Assist in drafting scope of services;
• Provide support and assistance on any Subconsultant contract issues or disputes;
• Provide support on Subconsultant stage payments;

Project Close Out
• Ensure commercial close out of projects; including final account under the main contract, subconsultant close out.
• Ensure any claims are finalised.
• Capture commercial and contractual lessons learned from the project;
Risk Management
• Produce and issue to Managing Director and General Manager the monthly risk report, highlighting the risks that emanate from Project Reviews for the region.

Legacy Issues
• Maintain register of legacy commercial issues from projects and ensure periodic review to close issues out.

Corporate / Head Office Responsibilities
• Review and consult on other agreements that are required from time to time including non-disclosure agreements, letters of intent, joint venture agreements and the like;
• Contribute to the overall commercial function;
• Support regional commercial issues;
• Contribute to commercial training of project, design delivery and supervision teams;
• Under any other assignments and tasks as required.

Qualities and Skills

• Good understanding of contract law and contract administration
• Ability to draft contracts and agreements,
• Experience in contractual dispute resolution,
• Good analytical and forensic skills
• Understanding of project accounting reporting requirements
• Substantial commercial experience gained through Quantity Surveying, Contract Management, and/or Project Management, preferably with security, systems integration or maintenance background.
• 10+ years of experience.
• Strong interpersonal and relationship Management skills

Digital Platforms:

Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field
MRICS Certification is desirable but not essential
Quantity Surveying or Project Management certification or any other relevant certification

- Responsible for setting goals and the development of themes and activities in the IKEA FOOD Commercial calendar in cooperation with IKEA F&B Manager
- In cooperation with Com-In Service Office responsible for communication development, including product communication materials for the national range, and ensure consistency with national goals and the international standards.
- Develop guidelines together with Com-In Service Office to ensure the level and standards of the commercial areas of IKEA FOOD.
- In close cooperation with Market F&B Manager and F&B Manager (Service Office) secure the right quality and the lowest total cost of the national range.
- Responsible for following up and documenting activities and communicating successful activities to IKEA Food Services AB.
- Support the stores in their commercial range presentation including merchandising platform implementation, common store planning, low price, Swedishness, sales steering, etc.
- Take responsibility for the Market IKEA FOOD Commercial Review and ensure a positive development within the stores.
- Use Commercial Review as a tool to secure implementation of best practices and as a learning and development tool.
- Coordinate and participate in the national Commercial Reviews
- Secure that IKEA FOOD is part of all advertising medias, including digital, social media, direct mail advertising and brochures.

**Qualification** Who are you ?**
- Post Graduate or Degree or three years Diploma in hotel Management or equivalent.
- Previous experience in similar Job role or minimum 4 years experience as Banquet Supervisor. Proven track records.
- HACCP Certification preferable
- Good analytical skills and cost consciousness
- Excellent command of English
- Competent in problem solving, conflict and crisis management

The role of a Salesforce Engineering Manager, Commercial Systems at Canonical

This engineering management role is an opportunity for a technologist with a passion for Linux and Ubuntu to build a career with Canonical and drive the success of the business. The Commercial Systems unit has several areas of responsibility spread across six engineering teams, closely collaborating with other engineering and business teams at Canonical. Services designed, developed, and operated by the Commercial Systems unit are at the heart of Canonical business and Salesforce plays an integral role in it.

The Salesforce team is responsible for the development and configuration of Canonical's Salesforce instance. The team's mission is to deliver first-class experience to the Sales and business operations teams relying on Salesforce, while achieving the highest engineering standards expected of any engineering team at Canonical.

We are looking for an engineering manager with senior-level engineering experience in Salesforce, who strives for the highest engineering quality, seeks improvements, continuously develops their skills, and applies them at work. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a change, leverage the latest Salesforce features and best practices, and put them into practice, while keeping the Salesforce instance lean and maintainable.

Location : This role will be based remotely in the EMEA region.

What your day will look like

  • Lead a team of engineers delivering solutions leveraging the Salesforce platform
  • Seek improvements to established processes, designs, and engineering solutions
  • Collaborate on business analysis and technical designs
  • Provide Salesforce subject matter expertise to business customers and cross-functional teams
  • Deliver engineering solutions leveraging the Salesforce platform

What we are looking for in you

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science or a related engineering field
  • Experience with Salesforce development and integrations
  • Experience as a hands-on engineering manager or a team lead
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Ability to collaborate remotely with a diverse set of team members and stakeholders, remain highly motivated, productive, and organized in a fully remote environment
  • Ability to travel to international destinations for one week at a time, approximately 2-4 times per year. Locations prior to the global pandemic included New York, Seattle, London, Cape Town, Budapest, Berlin, Montreal, and Brussels

Additional skills that you might also bring

  • Experience as a software developer in a high-level language - preferably Go or Python

The Role:

  • Provide post sales account management service for all Corporate Customers including mobile and fixed services providing after sales support and follow up for corporate customers across all channels.

Key Accountabilities and Activities:

  • Support the Account Managers in opening new accounts in system (Account Verification).
  • End to end support & guide customers/KAMs through difficulties related to tariffs, billing issues, service requests across all products, maintaining a helpful and customer-friendly approach to meet high level of customer satisfaction for mobile customers taking fixed services or convergence.
  • Attend and support the walk-in corporate customer who had an issue escalated from KAM, Service delivery team or corporate collection for the CPR customer.
  • Adding/cancelling services for B2B customers.
  • Handle corporate customers email group which received from customers internally or externally and ensure not to miss any email and reply back to customer (specific to variety of matters).
  • Contact the customer for any unclear requests or unauthorized sender.
  • Contact the customer to collect the pending items with SDT.
  • Attend meetings with KAM for corporate customers who have an issue in billing, network, complaint or any other operational issue.
  • Provide customers with contract details, copy of their Offer by coordinating with Archiving team.
  • Provide account summary report when needed to customer or KAM (after investigation if required by customer).
  • Act in support of the account manager by addressing basic customer queries and send the latest offers and keep the KAM informed.
  • Coordinate with the Technical Division to resolve all customer problems related to the network, billing, coverage, roaming etc.
  • Create users for corporate customers to have access on self-care portal after checking the authority of the customer.
  • Responsible to handle B2B customer complaints of all types, issues or inquiries in Remedy in a timely manner.
  • Handle MNP complaint for B2B corporates for CPR.
  • Be present in all meetings and coordinate with NQD, network planning and implementation teams to handle all B2B network complaints as top priority.
  • Ensure the product knowledge is at sufficient levels to accurately advise customers on the entire range of Ooredoo products and services & proactively update on new products & services.
  • Report on customers’ issues and concerns relating to procedures and products to optimise marketing intelligence gathering.
  • Handle any future media contacts type like live chat, etc.
  • Support the Auditors in fulfilling all the needed information and update the Audit system with the resolution time and action.
  • Support the legal team to provide full information about customer contracts, and attend court cases with legal team for any kind of disputes.
  • Coordinate with KAM and finance on the B2B verification Process.
  • Handle all issues related to promotion in case if we agreed to activate the lines without attaching the TMO or promotion KIT due to delay of implementation and calculate the waiver/refund amount for the customer.
  • Adding/cancelling services for B2B customer, by using RAS, My net Portal, Dbill, etc.
  • Remove promotions and pending OCC of promotions upon management approval.
  • Respond to all sales requirements and support other departments by responding to all their email/calls.
  • Proactively take responsibility for self-improvement by staying well-informed of developments, knowledge and innovations in relevant field of expertise.
  • Other duties as directed by supervisor or other superiors.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor degree in business or a related discipline from a recognised tertiary institution desirable.
  • 2-3 years of experience based on progression ladder in a similar or related function.
