The International University of Science & Technology in Kuwait (IUK) is a newly established private university with a new campus near the Avenues Mall. Fully accredited by the Private Universities Council (PUC), IUK offers programs in Engineering, Business, and Arts and Social Sciences, and runs the University Foundation Program (UFP) for English and Math foundations. IUK is looking for dynamic full-time academic staff who are passionate about teaching and contributing to a vibrant learning environment for students.

College of Engineering at IUK seeks candidates for an assistant/associate professor to teach Architecture & Design Engineering courses. Faculty members will teach introductory-level Architecture & Design Engineering courses for science and engineering majors and non-science majors. In addition to teaching, candidates are expected to maintain scholarly work and engage in professional services. The candidate will contribute to developing an outcome-based, student-focused curriculum. The primary role is to promote high-quality teaching, research, and services, and to collaborate with the Head of Department, College Dean, and colleagues to achieve program objectives and student learning outcomes. Responsibilities include mentoring junior colleagues and teaching assistants, and supporting the department and university with administrative and academic services.

Additionally, faculty members are expected to maintain office hours, provide advisement for students, participate in curriculum development, and contribute to professional development activities.

• Teach courses according to specialty and experience.
• Promote innovation in teaching by introducing new methodologies and strategies.
• Engage with students in and out of the classroom.
• Promote research activities and other scholarly work, including publishing in indexed peer-reviewed publications.
• Mentor new colleagues and teaching assistants.
• Support the department and college by following the curriculum and achieving program objectives and student learning outcomes.
• Follow university bylaws and regulations and promote a positive institutional environment.
• Commit to teaching schedules, office hours, preparation, service, and professional development.

• A Ph.D. in Architecture & Design Engineering or closely related field.

• A minimum of three years of university teaching experience at the university/college level.
• Proven experience with learning management systems and e-learning teaching strategies.
• Experience working in a multicultural academic environment and understanding diverse student needs, including those with special needs.
• Experience with various instructional methodologies.
