We are seeking a C-17 Avionics Technician to undertake airframe, propulsion, electrical and avionics maintenance activities in support of Kuwait Air Force (Organizational Level) flight line and back shop maintenance at Al-Mubarak, AB, Kuwait City, Kuwait.
Position Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will perform the following duties:
- Oversee assembly, disassembly or overhaul.
- Configure aerospace vehicles and bench test equipment.
- Troubleshoot complex pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical systems to isolate mechanical or electrical faults and repair faulty components.
- Oversee validation/verification testing of systems and components.
- Document procedures and established processes to ensure contractual and regulatory compliance (e.g., repairs, test results, applicable modifications and inspection results).
- Inspect components and verifies repairs for flight worthiness requirements.
- Assemble, disassemble and/or modify systems by changing, removing, replacing or upgrading aerospace vehicle components to correct failures or implement changes.

**Purpose:** Under limited supervision this position is responsible physical inventories, accountability, tracking, performing container certifications, visibility of containers utilizing automated systems, and leading assigned team day to day operations.
**Essential Duties and Responsibilities:**
+ Provides leadership to team members during the physical inventories, accountability, tracking, performing container certifications, and the visibility of containers utilizing automated systems.
+ Ensures tasks are executed in order to meet mission deadlines and required suspense.
+ Oversees and conducts inspections of containers and certifies for serviceability.
+ Ensures compliance with Performance Work Statement, DOD 4500.9-R, Part VI and CENTCOM directives as guidelines for container operations.
+ Coordinates, tracks, and oversees container movements.
+ Responsible for documenting and maintaining accountability of all U.S Government owned containers within assigned Geographical Locations (GEOLOCs).
+ Oversees monthly inventories to validate 100% accountability of ISO containers.
+ Provide tracking and visibility of containers utilizing automated systems such as JCM and other applicable USG STAMIS.
+ Tracks and coordinates the return of commercial containers to ensure no detention or demurrage charges are accrued.
+ Submit daily, weekly, and/or monthly reports as required by the department.
+ Ensure strict compliance to safety practices and support the Safety Policies and Procedures.
+ Instills a safety-first mentality within respective work areas and a culture that achieves low accident rates and minimal lost-time injuries.
+ Adhere to ISO Policies, Procedures, and Work Instructions in support of Quality Management System.
+ Performs other related duties as assigned or directed.
**Minimum Position Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities**
**Education:**
+ High school diploma or equivalent required.
**Experience:**
+ 1 or more years' experience in container seaworthiness inspection and certification.
+ 1 year experience working on a Government Contract or prior military experience required.
+ Forklift and MHE experience preferred.
**Specialized Knowledge and Skills:**
+ Must be detail oriented with a high degree of accuracy.
+ Must have strong interpersonal communication skills and ability to work and communicate with others effectively.
+ Possess knowledge of Army Supply documentation such as DD Form 1750.
+ Must have working knowledge in the use of MS Office, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook and other related applications.
+ Possess the ability to multitask.
**Certification, License & Clearance:**
+ Driver's license required.
+ Ability to obtain SAAR approval for NIRP access to USG systems required.
+ T1 NACI or higher required for U.S. Citizens.

The successful candidate will perform the following duties:
Oversee assembly, disassembly or overhaul. Configure aerospace vehicles and bench test equipment. Troubleshoot complex pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical systems to isolate mechanical or electrical faults and repair faulty components. Oversee validation/verification testing of systems and components. Document procedures and established processes to ensure contractual and regulatory compliance (e.g., repairs, test results, applicable modifications and inspection results). Inspect components and verifies repairs for flight worthiness requirements. Assemble, disassemble and/or modify systems by changing, removing, replacing or upgrading aerospace vehicle components to correct failures or implement changes. Oversee training. Work under general direction.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)
5+ Years Avionics Experience 5+ Years Experience Working on C-17 Aircraft
Typical Education/Experience
High school diploma or GED and typically 5 or more years' related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience preferred

Canonical Use your deep C++ skills on Windows and MacOS to build an amazing open source developer experience with Multipass, the workstation mini-cloud at your fingertips which provides Ubuntu and appliance VMs on demand for build, test and prototyping. The Multipass team is hiring a Software Engineer to join our distributed team. We greatly value quality in our code, and great user experience.
Multipass is published for macOS, Windows, and also Linux. Think of it as a workstation mini-cloud. At its simplest you can simply say
multipass launch
and you will get a new VM on your workstation. You can feed that VM data, just as you would on a public cloud like AWS, Azure or GCP.
The goal is not to be a full cloud of course. The goal is to give developers a local cloud on their workstation, which they can use to run builds in the background, or to try cloud appliances, or to test their own cloud deployments and cloud-init scripts, free of charge. People sometimes use it as a build farm on a shared server, for example.
As a Software Engineer you are expected to play a leadership role designing, mentoring, reviewing and of course coding.
Location
: This is a remote position available in the EMEA region only.
What you will focus on
Ensure Multipass is easy and intuitive to use Architect new features and design the user experience Write high-quality code to create new features and fix bugs Review code and architecture as part of Canonical's engineering process Collaborate proactively with a distributed team Debug, track down and fix issues encountered by our users Foster the open source community and support customers when needed Travel internationally for up to two weeks, twice a year, for company events
What we are looking for in you
Cross-platform development experience on macOS and/or Windows Expertise in modern C++ development Experience with software testing and test-driven development Extremely high personal standards for code quality, testing and design Knowledge of hypervisor technologies such as Hyper-V, VirtualBox, KVM, and QEMU Open source experience and involvement Knowledge of CI systems a plus Capacity to learn quickly about new systems and techniques Excellent communication skills in English - both verbal and written Bachelor's or equivalent in Computer Science, STEM or similar degree
